The Little Witch Cottage is a rustic charming cottage from 1929 with timber framing and Catskill blue stone flooring. It sits in the middle of our yard about 200 feet from our more modern home. We have about 9 acres set back from the road. The cottage has a queen sized bed, dining table, and small kitchenette. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, dishes, and an induction stove top. We recently wired this vintage beauty to run on solar power and has an outhouse with a composting toilet, sink, and heated outdoor shower. Outside the cottage is a small garden, picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. Our land is mostly sloped fields that we are slowly turning into meadows full of native flowers and plants. There are mowed paths through the tall grass. This is perfect glamping spot, a mixture of comfort and nature. We are close to Catskill, NY and surrounded with a mix of beautiful nature and small town fun.

Weekend Trip to Maple Corner Farm

This site was perfect for us! We came with our dogs and they loved running around on the trails and in the fields - the site had a picnic table and cooking area, and we grabbed firewood, eggs, maple syrup and a few other goodies from the farm stand on the way in. David and his family were amazing hosts, checking in periodically to see if we needed anything to make our stay even more comfortable. We took advantage of the permanent tent at the site and our own tents, both were super fun - we will most definitely be back again, thank you David and family!

Wonderful spot -- very peaceful and tons of flat space to pitch a tent. About 8 minutes from the Town as well and not far from a plethora of hikes. To note: the road is visible from the campsite and not far away, but it is a small quiet backcountry-ish road that does not get a ton of use -- it did not bother us.

Caitlin’s little witch cabin was perfect for our mini getaway. It was our first time in the Catskills and I’m glad we came across her Hipcamp. We basically got to do everything we planned for (hikes, food) because her place was in such a great location! Getting around was very easy and we had great cell service through out the trip. As a beginner ceramicist, I was in awe of her work! She is very talented and creative and has a great eye for decor. The bed was super comfy and we loved the outdoor shower! Our night spent at Quentin’s treehouse was beyond phenomenal. Pictures don’t do the treehouse and the view justice and Quentin truly went above and beyond as a host! From helping us start a fire to coffee in the morning, to the thoughtfully available items such as an extra sleeping bag and cookware on site, I can’t recommend this Hipcamp enough. Without a doubt my favorite I’ve ever stayed at!

Weekend Trip to Historic Riverside Farm

I will come back again and again. This was the most relaxing trip I’ve had. There are not many sites to offer private and peaceful camping. We were able to watch blue herons, egrets and geese fly in, in the morning and land on the river. We were able to enjoy yoga and meditation right by the river. We had two partridges hang out at our site for two days that just wandered around and were of no nuisance. Sitting in the swing at the top of the hill we had deer wandering around us. Despite getting there after dark, the instructions to get to our site were easy and after settling in, the owner came down and greeted us with our eggs. Everything is well taken care of. We feel like we’ve found a hidden gem.

We ended up switching to another spot last minute and David was able to accommodate, we had a whole back hay field to ourselves and our dogs for the whole weekend. We absolutely LOVED our short stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The witch cottage is so comfortable and cosy, and so beautifully decorated. The bathroom is outside but super close and really comfortable and easy to use. We were laughing that it's truly more comfortable than the bathroom in our tiny NYC apartment! I highly highly recommend staying here.
