My dad first came to this property as a farm hand for the elderly couple who owned it. This was in the 1930's. He met my mother, who lived 6 miles down the road, in 1939. She was just 14. Every Sunday he would ride those 6 miles to have supper with her and her family and in 1940, 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, they married. They traveled around before coming back here, buying a small portion of this farm from the elderly owners and farming the rest for them, but in 1953, the man died (his name was Ernest Ward) in the small concrete house I now use for storage, that my dad had built for he and his wife when he first came to work for them. My parents built a home for his widow in Hatch (14 miles) and bought the farm from her. My family has owned it since. I was gone for 31 years, but returned to the land and place I love and plan to stay here till I die!

Quaint shops, restaurants, and nearly all the amenities of a larger city await you there. While you are here you can also access the Gila Cliff Dwellings or Catwalk near Glenwood. However we think you will be quite content sitting in one of our swings, or dangling your feet in the water, and watching for the wild waterfowl that frequent our pond. We also have a small gift shop filled with locally made southwest pottery, western art, fresh eggs and homemade baked goods. We'd be happy to give you a tour of our gardens and greenhouse where you can also purchase fresh vegetables for your next meal. Our overhead gate has a clearance of 13' 7". We allow all types of RV trailers and vehicles, living quarters horse trailers, vans, tents, tipis, etc. No age limit on vehicles or trailers. Our parking area is huge, and right next to our pond. The location was convenient. It was quiet and felt safe. The yard was not visually appealing, but there was a nice view of the mountains. I could hear a rooster, but it was far enough away as to not be bothersome.

Lawrence & Dina’s Campsite was great. Open space and the amenities were just what we expected. We got there late and left really early but it was wonderful experience. I and my sons watched the stars and I saw two shooting stars. Would definitely recommend camping there. Bathroom was clean and readily accessible from all site. Thanks again Lawrence & Dina.

Arrived late and Lawrence and Dina were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The site was well maintained and the bathroom was clean with warm water. Ground was easy to pitch a tent in and everything felt private and accessible. Would definitely recommend.

Lawrence & Dina couldn't be better hosts and have a perfect place to stay. Our site had a picnic table under a tree which was perfect for our morning coffee. We got in too late to see the sunset but loved the sunrise. Beware of choosing the "open directions in app" option. Twice it took us the wrong way. Third time was a charm (and verified using the address). If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay there again.
Also, if you are heading east in the morning and you like old school yet quirky diners, you have to try The Pit on 292 Cafe just outside Los Cruces for breakfast. Great food and character. A fun way to start your journey.

Had an amazing night at this hip camp. Bryon and Marilyn met us there they were so sweet and helpful. We really felt taken care of. It was super peaceful and private, beautiful star gazing spot! We also went into the nearby town of Silver City and had a great time the next day, I would definitely recommend doing that! Great food/art scene!

Extremely friendly and helpful hoast's Bryan and Marilyn with an extraordinary beautiful place. It has a nice swimming pond, various sites for your tent, a portable toilet, handwashing tool and a very comforting and relaxing place. If we will be in the area again we will definetly stay here again.

Very nice little spot in a place otherwise absent of somewhere to stay. Climate was great even at the end of June. Very well kept, clean and hosts couldn't be more welcoming. Beautiful views. Would start again if we're in the area.

This place was amazing. It was truly the oasis we needed. Byron and Marilyn met us on site and gave us a tour. They are both so kind and down to earth. It was a pleasure every time we had a conversation with them. The property itself is meticulously cared for. There is shade, a fountain, a beautiful pond, and even swings over the pond. The view is breathtaking and there is so much privacy! We were lucky enough to be there on the night there was a lightning storm. It was an incredible sight! We will definitely stay here again because it truly felt like a home.

The best place to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the peaceful views. The site is pristine and welcoming. The owners have made this a haven away from all the stresses. They are accommodating and kind. We enjoyed row boating in the pond and did a little fish watching. Don't pass this peaceful spot up when looking for your next camping adventure.

My second time in as many weeks staying here. Can't put my finger on it, I'll just go with the New Mexico slogan "Land of Enchantment". It's so easy in and out. Lawrence and Dina are great hosts!
Still loved the sunset, myriad stars at night and awesome north to south first light and daybreak.
As I said in my last stay, if I was just in the vicinity, I would go out of my way to stay here.

Bryon and Marilyn’s private oasis is the perfect location for an out door outing with the family. The campsite is spacious and private, The host's are kind and accommodating. The property is full of activities such as fishing, swimming, and most of all relaxing. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Absolutely delightful spot. Away from the traffic, noise and congestion. Gorgeous sunset followed be a myriad of stars us city folk wish we could view every night. Get up early and watch first light, awesome.
Also loved the rustic homestead atmosphere.

Carolyn went above and beyond for us. We booked a last minute spot due to some really bad weather. The land is so beautiful and her vision for what’s to come is exciting. The space was level which I’m so thankful for after a bad night elsewhere. Unfortunately the river was low but that is out of her control as the damn has to be opened. If we ever pass through this part of the country again we will for sure be back for longer than a night.

As nice as it gets! The setting was wonderful, rural and next to a beautiful pond. Dark skies, full of stars, yet only minutes from Silver City. The setting is as quiet as can be as you are the only guest and no traffic nearby. The hosts are wonderful, engaging and meticulous about caring for their property. We will surely return, hopefully many times.

Lawrence and Dina met us at the entrance to their property and were very welcoming. We stayed one night. There are 2 spots with electric and water hookup. It was quiet with limited road noise. It is a dirt lot so when the wind kicks up the dirt goes everywhere, something to keep in mind. We would stay again.

Had a great night of star gazing at Lawrence and Dina’s property. It’s easy to find, very quiet, and has a restroom! They are both extremely nice and accommodating, they even let me set up a telescope on the back 40. Fantastic hosts!
