Mountain View is an excellent place to camp. The bathroom is clean and the laundry is as well. The hosts are very responsive and helpful and the view os the mountains is magnificent. The only downside is the proximity the road which does have quite a few large trucks through the day.

This rv camp site is extraordinary, Jay and Regina are great just and their site is meticulously maintained. Each place has its own power, water and sewer, and is perfectly flat and leveled. You are not far from Guadalupe park and Carlsbag caverns. We recommend this place to anyone

We had our travel trailer at this small little RV park for 4 days. It was a nice place to stay with interesting sculpture and excellent wifi. The small laundry was reasonably priced. It was clean and well maintained. Our only wish were there were fewer lights at night.

Beautiful camp with large flat sites. The statues and lights are beautiful, the people are super friendly and it has great amenities for a reasonable price. We will be back! Site selection is first come first serve even with a reservation, but the sites are spacious, most will easily fit a large Class A.

Loved this rv park! Owners are very nice. Only one shower/toilet but it was very clean, had hot water, and it was never taken when we needed it. Full hookups on site. So quiet and peaceful, views of the mountains in the distance, beautiful sunsets. Dell City is 10 minutes north and if you want to eat out or get some groceries, hit Two T’s Grocery Store - family owned, very nice people and great food. 30 min to most Guadalupe NP hikes, 1 hr to Carlsbad cavern. Great spot!

The property owner, Jay, was nice and helpful. Held up here during a snow storm. It’s about an hour 15 minutes away from Carlsbad and Guadalupe Mt. National Parks. The closest town is Dell City which is an agricultural town with two small grocery stores for necessities. Otherwise, make sure you have food, diesel, propane, etc. closest big town is El Paso about 80 miles away. Nice hookups and WiFi.

I had to come back. On my first visit I missed the bats, and I wasn’t going to let that stand. This time I arrived around 6pm and settled into the natural amphitheater at the cave entrance, ready to wait. And the wait is absolutely part of the experience — as the sun drops and the air cools, the anticipation builds in a way that feels almost ceremonial.
Around 6:50pm one of the park rangers came to talk with the crowd, and he was genuinely wonderful — funny, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who never gets tired of sharing this moment with visitors. Then at around 7:30pm, just as the last light faded from the sky, it began. A dark spiral started rising from the mouth of the cave — hundreds of thousands of Brazilian free-tailed bats pouring out in a continuous living column, circling upward and disappearing into the dusk. No photograph can capture it, and in fact the park asks you not to try — no flash, no disruption. You just sit, watch, and let it wash over you.
It is one of the most extraordinary natural spectacles I have ever witnessed. If you visit Carlsbad Caverns and skip the bat flight, go back. You’ll understand why the moment it starts.

I've loved Carlsbad since the first time I visited on a school trip! Going back as an adult has been just as fun as I remember. The sights and sounds are unlike anything above ground, very enchanting. Bring a light jacket! The temps drop as you descend into the caverns. Well worth the visit, whether on a family trip or solo adventure.

Underground Masterpiece
Carlsbad Caverns is absolutely mind-blowing. The sheer scale of the Big Room is something photos just can't capture. Walking down the Natural Entrance trail is a must if you want to really feel the depth of the cave system. It’s well-maintained, awe-inspiring, and easily one of the most unique National Park experiences in the Southwest.

Stayed near Guadalupe Mountain National Park and got to the visitor center around 8:45 and were able to get into the cavern at 9:30. The rangers were friendly and a good time to talk with.

Really well kept!! Super pretty here. Rangers are really kind and helpful. I cannot recommend enough to take the natural entrance if you are able to. Also there are bathrooms on the bottom level of the caverns near The Big Room:)

Spectacular
Spectacular walk through the Big Room of the Cavern. We took the self guided tour using the elevator just today - 30 November 2025. There was plenty to Oooh and Ahhhh about. Path was very smooth and we had it almost to ourselves. It was worth the trip. As it was so chilly , we did not seek out any of the nearby hikes but there were many. We could easily spend several days here.
