Xantara overlooks the Mimbres valley and river with an expansive view. There is a Bakery close by that is open for breakfast Tue - Sat and a museum that is open on weekends. Gila Hot springs, cliff dwellings, wilderness, petroglyphs and pictographs are 1/2 - 2 hrs. north on hwy. 35. Silver City is 1/2 hr. away with a variety of restaurants, galleries, coffee shops and museums. City of Rocks state park is to the south. Site has water, electric, trash and recycling.Easy access to the Black Range & Gila Wilderness areas. The Mimbres museum & ruins are right here in Mimbres where the Mogollon people lived. City of Rocks State Park has great hiking, bouldering & geological interest 1/2 hr away with Faywood Hot Springs next door. Demming is another 1/2 hr further south from City of Rock's with a world class museum. Host lives onsite.

Luwana and Jack are welcoming & accommodating hosts. The property has a homey feel & is surrounded by hills in the Mimbres River Valley - a nice change of pace from the hustle & bustle of Silver City. The spacious site is level with easily accessible water, 30 amp hookup & trash barrel. There's a dump station at a nearby RV park. The brand new Dollar General is a game changer for the area & is surprisingly well stocked. Enjoy your stay - Olé!

Luwana and Jack were fabulous hosts! So friendly, communicative and welcoming. Felt like home away from home. Beautiful, quiet site. Highly recommend!!

Luwana and Jack have a great spot to camp spot on an elevated terrace above the Mimbres River. This 4 acre site well off the highway is a great place for dogs. The camp site is a concrete pad which was a former location of a double wide mobile home. Native vegetation on site is diverse mixture of mountain and desert flora and fauna. It is located on the route to Gila Cliff dwellings and mnay other interesting sites. I stayed there in a 22 ft airstream
