Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm
Staying at this glamping site right on the Delaware River was an incredible experience. Totally gorgeous and private. The hosts were so kind and gracious; they went out of their way to make us comfortable and even surprised us with a thoughtful little anniversary gift when we arrived. The site is easy to find and has good cell service. Highly recommended for a peaceful and romantic getaway.

Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm
Our stay at Riverhouse Farm couldn’t have fallen on a more perfect weekend. We enjoyed how conveniently placed and framed everything was. From the view of the river from the tent, sitting around the fire as the moon rises between the trees, or where the sun and moon sit perfectly when they’re at the peak and the trees that frame it. We slept comfortably in the canvas tent and using the wood burning stove was easy. Conveniently, there’s a grill which made cooking a lot easier. The fresh eggs cooked over the fire were superb! We arrived later than we had hoped and in the dark so we missed the tent off to the right when we got there but were able to find it. I would love to visit again this time next year! Such a memorable trip.

A perfect mini weekend getaway! Richard met us on arrival and gave us a wonderful tour. He was also super communicative leading up to our stay which was great. The picnic table/ cupboard came in really handy for prepping and eating meals. During our stay the river was on the shallower side, but that didn’t deter us from getting out on the river to fish and explore. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to unwind and spend some time on the river!

Brendan’s property is beautiful and private yet close to everything. The sunset was gorgeous! Driving with our 21’ trailer was easy off the main highway. We loved our stay. Brendan was an awesome host and brought us firewood and a fire pit. I totally recommend this site for relaxation and privacy.

Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm
We really enjoyed our stay at Riverhouse Farm. The location is beautiful, set right along the banks of the Delaware River, which made for a peaceful and scenic backdrop. Richard greeted us upon arrival and was incredibly kind and accommodating, which immediately made us feel welcome.
The site itself is comfortable and well-kept. The tent was clean, the air mattress held air well, and the firepit came with a sturdy cooking surface that was easy to use. We especially loved floating on the river and watching the boats drift by—it was very relaxing. For those looking for adventure, the Mount Tammany hiking trail is just a short drive over the bridge and offers a challenging climb with truly spectacular views.
The only thing to note is that the site isn’t particularly private. The driveway to the owners’ home runs right behind the tent and outdoor shower, so it’s possible to see cars drive by while you’re showering. Richard and his wife also enjoy walking along the lane, so you may encounter them from time to time.
Overall, it’s a unique and enjoyable spot with a mix of comfort and outdoor adventure. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Richard’s site is just perfect. Cozy and spacious with a great spot in the water. Private and clean area with a cute table and fire pit. The beds and chairs are so comfortable and the provided farm fresh eggs were the perfect breakfast! We will absolutely be returning.

This location was so peaceful, and we really appreciated the fresh eggs and firewood. The eggs were delicious. The river was perfect for the kids, and even our dog had a blast. The water temperature was great, but definitely bring water shoes since it can get slippery in spots. We’d absolutely love to return if Richard and Mary would have us.

Riverhouse camp was great. The tent had a bunk bed which my daughter loved. The bed is an air mattress though, so it is veerryy noisy when you move in bed. The view is a 10 out of 10. We sat in the adirondak chairs and had our coffee in the morning and it was great. The view from down at the river is fantastic as well. We used an anchor to hold our tubes and the kids had a blast jumping around them all day. I would recommend bring water shoes. The river is all rocks. They are smooth, but it was still much easier to navigate with water shoes on. Richard was great. He brought down firewood and fresh eggs from his chickens when we arrived. I have a feeling we will be booking this space again.

This place is just so special. It was our second time visiting, and we had perfect weather. The river breeze is refreshing, and Richard and Mary are wonderful hosts. Definitely get the firewood and fresh farm eggs. It was enough wood for three nights. Also, a great spot for tubing and swimming. So close to home, but a whole world apart. Love it here!

I absolutely loved this tiny little A-frame! My girlfriend and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here. Jean was an excellent host who helped make our trip an amazingly memorable one. The property is gorgeous and the amenities are great (especially the hot tub and projector :) )
