My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Our house built in 1750s and at one point had hundreds of acres passed down which were passed down from a kings grant The original area was named after the original settlers, the Browns. Our house was also tavern in the beginning. This property has only passed hands through 4 families and remained with the Browns for most of its life. It has stayed as a farm for most of its tenure. Carter's Cross Country Ski Center and Shop has been a family-owned business since 1984. The land on which the trails have been built on has been in the Carter family since the late 1700's. The first Carter who came to Bethel was the first doctor in the area that helped Mollyocket, a Native American medicine woman. All the different generations that came along after were either farmers or loggers or both. Carter's XC Ski Center is located on the banks of the Big Androscoggin River. Our private established skiing/walking trails meander through the Maine woods all the way up to Farwell Mountain, overlooking Sunday River Ski, the Presidential and Mahoosuc Mountain Ranges and Mt. Small, cozy, and warm cabin. It snowed 2/3 days we were there, and wood stove kept us toasty! Dog’s enjoyed the little trail to the power lines in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

It was a good blend of having convenience, glamping, beauty, and quaintness. While the upstairs bed is comfortable, it does sit on the loft wood itself. One word of caution and to be prepared, the ladder that goes up to the loft is narrow and quite steep. There's also a bed on the main level, which I actually found more convenient for those of us who have to pee in the middle of the night. 😊 Overall it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a down to earth glamping experience.

Weekend Trip to Tuttles Homestead

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed at this cozy cabin for a long weekend, and it exceeded all expectations — peaceful, rustic, and beautifully nestled in nature. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and provided just the right level of comfort for a relaxing escape. Mark was incredibly welcoming upon our arrival. He personally guided us to the cabin, which sits tucked away behind his home — far enough to feel private and secluded, yet close enough for easy access. He even provided us with firewood, which made our evenings by the fire especially cozy. Throughout our stay, he was respectful of our privacy but checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. His local recommendations were spot on and really helped us make the most of our time in the area. There’s a full bathroom with a warm shower just a short walk down by the main house, which was convenient and added to the “off-grid but comfortable” charm of the stay. Overall, a wonderful retreat for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Lulu's 100 Acre Wood Cabin

Everything exceeded our expectations. The check in instructions were super clear and easy to follow, and the cabin was everything and more! We had our two dogs with us and they were able to be off leash while we were there and they LOVED it. A dreamy escape from everyday life!

3 nights at Pine Cone Cabin

This is a perfect spot for the fall time when the leaves are changing colors, the roads to and from have incredible views as well as the view from the cabin. Nearby trails also have incredible views, Owl Head’s Trail specifically has an amazing summit view to check out, and if you’re not avid hiker you can drive most of the way to the top. Small yet spacious, it’s a perfect cabin to get away from everything for a few days to enjoy the nature. P.S. Verizon service works though seems to potentially have issues with data intermittently mostly during the daytime, calls and texts were always available

Weekend Trip to Halfpipe Farm

My husband and I had a cozy and relaxing weekend at Halfpipe Farm! The cabin was awesome, we loved the big arched window, loft and how it was built with love out of cool repurposed materials. Its quiet and secluded but also close to town. Sarah was super nice and responsive in our messages. Space was clean, has everything you need and even a hot shower! As a bonus she has a super cute and friendly cat that comes to greet you when you arrive. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend!!
