The property used to be part of the old Johanson farm, it was a 200 acre dairy farm. The name wolf Swamp comes from the Pony Express Riders that carried Mail from The Canterbury Railroad Station to The Northfield Station. There were many Wolf Sitings reported on the Trail through the Swamp by The Riders, so it was named The Wolf Swamp. The Campsites are spread out over 52 Acres, lots of privacy, plenty of parking and the sites are huge. Lots of hiking in area, 5 different Swimming locations, we are in the Center of the Local Trail System. Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you? Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can. Feel free to msg me or call for questions and information. It is heated with two pellet stoves. One in the bedroom wing, the other in the livingroom/kitchen.  Skating, ice fishing, and crosscountry skiing right outside your door when the weather is right. Peace and calm when the weather is harsh. The house is fully stocked with cooking. linens, and a bathroom.  During the summer, glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a desk within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a canoe and paddleboard available to borrow. The main house is attached by decks, the bathroom is shared with the main house and there is a kitchen for you to use. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing.  Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world."  This is a place that magic happens.

Cabin is well insulated, uses a Big Buddy heater for heat in winter .The rain barrel is only for water for fire pit! Not drinkable!! You fill the black bucket and put it near fire pit while having a camp fire. New solar lights installed, really brightens up cabin!

We have easy-to-access rustic style camping accommodations for all sized parties traveling with tents, travel trailers or small campers. All of our sites offer potable water, solar shower bags, parking, fire pits, and a picnic table. Welcome Center! complete with a game section, dry firewood bundles, water, fire starter kits, also, extra supplies for purchase such as drinking water, bug spray and some homemade items, eggs, toiletries and some other items to purchase with cash (honor system) or Venmo or PayPal. Check it out! You don't need to purchase extras online if you'd rather pay here with a cost savings for you :) Onsite also, is a small library inside the Carraige House, let me know if you need a book. The old greenhouse has extra firewood available for your needs, located between 8 and 9 - also some items for you, to use, rent or purchase. Blackberry picking Aug-Sept. 1 pint free and then $5.00 a pint-honor system. Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you? Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can. Feel free to msg me or call for questions and information. Checkout our onsite shop (Someday Farm Market) at the barn for our own handmade/homemade items and some Alpaca products also for sale May - Nov. Also, be sure to check out all the extras (you have to review the extras to purchase firewood) offered here while you are booking your stay! It is heated with two pellet stoves. One in the bedroom wing, the other in the livingroom/kitchen.  Skating, ice fishing, and crosscountry skiing right outside your door when the weather is right. Peace and calm when the weather is harsh. The house is fully stocked with cooking. linens, and a bathroom.  During the summer, glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a desk within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a canoe and paddleboard available to borrow. The main house is attached by decks, the bathroom is shared with the main house and there is a kitchen for you to use. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing.  Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world."  This is a place that magic happens.

Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. Spent a weekend catching up with friends here. The yurt is amazing, super comfortable and warm with the wood stove, easy to cook on the gas range, water nearby for cleaning up. Brought our own potable water. Nice privy. Left some extra supplies behind for the next people which seems like a well established tradition. We hiked around Welton falls to the AMC lodge, saw a black bear, hiked Oregon Mt the next day. We will definitely be looking to return in the summer.

Absolutely beautiful campsite along a little pond. We had some surprise visits from a couple horses, Emily and Sunny, from a neighboring farm which put a great big smile on our faces. Dwayne, the man, the myth, the legend himself brought us two very large bags of wood which we happily burned throughout the cold night. Still one of my favorite sites for its convenience and scenery. Although the highway is right next to you, after a little bit it turns into white noise and helped me sleep like a baby. Thanks again for a great stay on our final trip of the year. This farm/campground, perched high above the valley, offers a beautiful landscape, private and spacious sites that can accommodate many, and clean portapotties (picture signs, decorative lights, air fresheners, bug spray, hand sanitizer, etc). It is easy to see that much care and thought has gone into the entire campground’s set up. I don’t know if there’s a section about the hosts so I’ll mention it here. Jody and Keith’s site was beautiful. The stove in the tent kept it cozy throughout the autumn night. They provided a garden cart to transport our things which was helpful. The air mattress was as comfortable as an air mattress can be. Jody and Keith recommended that we bring lights, since we were arriving after sunset, but we foolishly overestimated the power of our phone flashlights. So definitely bring a few lanterns. I would definitely stay again. It was beautiful by the river.

My Wife, Fur Baby, and I stayed at Eben’s land for a weekend and had an Amazing Time!!! Let me start of by saying the host Eben was wonderful!!! He met us upon arrival and was so kind and friendly and welcoming. He goes out of his way to show you how things at the site work and truly makes sure you understand how to operate everything. He had given us a map of the property and showed us everything his land had to offer and asked us what exactly what we were looking to do. Upon us answering what it was we were looking to do his made suggestions to accommodate our needs. He made suggestions around the area that were dog friendly so we would be able to accommodate our fur baby as well. Which was very thoughtful! After we were all set with everything he left us to ourselves and what a beautiful peaceful place it is. We chose the following morning to take a hike around the property and were pleasantly pleased with all the Beautiful Views his property had to offer. There’s nothing better than lying on a hammock and looking at Mountain View’s of the Fall Foliage. It truly looked like views you would see in a book or a movie. They were truly breathtaking. It was so nice to see our fur baby run free in the wilderness and soak up all the new scents. He was in heaven. This place is relaxing, peaceful, and just what we needed to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle of Life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others and we will most certainly be back without a doubt.

At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property! Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. There is lots of sun and shade depending on when and where you happen to be on the site. There is plenty of space to pull out your favorite lawn game and a great firepit to keep warm at night. We are about 10 minutes from Clough State Park where there is plenty to do including swimming, paddling, biking, hiking, ATVing, etc. Our site has 50amp service and filtered well water (2 spigots).
