1 night at Inn On The Horse Farm

I absolutely loved this country setting and historic 1800’s cottage. It’s basically a whole house to yourself. You will want for nothing. Just bring yourself, clothes & food. There are pots, pans, dishes, utensils and everything you need for a relaxing stay. I sat in the kitchen most of the time, to watch the beautiful horse right outside the sliding glass door. Moonfield I believe his name is. I walked around the property and took in all the charm of this place. It’s decorated appropriately and suits this cottage perfectly. The queen bed was the most comfortable sleep Ive had in a long time. Joan responded to any questions I had with lighting speed. This was the perfect getaway and I can’t wait to book again in the future.

The cabin was adorable. I enjoyed my weekend “unplugged.” There are solar lights which work perfect when the sun goes down. The cabin contained everything needed for cooking. There were several options for additional lights if needed - including lanterns to take to the outhouse. I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend!

Beautiful location, great host and overall an awesome place to stay! My wife and I plus our two dogs stayed here for my birthday weekend and loved it. The location was close to anything you needed but in a quiet and secluded enough spot to feel like you were miles from everything. So peaceful and the cottage is very charming. The walking path around the property was a fun bonus.

My favorite Hipcamp so far! Stunning property with amazing views, tons of privacy and almost no road noise & light pollution. The cabin is very spacious & comfortable and the outhouse is very clean. There’s even an actual flush toilet & shower. Joe met us with some fresh raspberries & a warm welcome. My after dark walk with my dogs was my most memorable moment - nothing but nighttime insect sounds, moonlight & the wind in the leaves. We will definitely be back - truly a very special place!

I made this reservation rather quickly, so I didn’t have much time to look into many options. At first, I hesitated because there weren’t many reviews and the photos mainly showed the room. Honestly, I almost passed it by just looking at the review photos. But in the end, I decided to book—and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! Now, let me explain one by one why I enjoyed my stay so much. First of all, the neighborhood is very quiet, yet within just a 3–5 minute drive you can find almost any store you need. Following Joan’s kind instructions, I parked the car and walked in to find a small house with a red door. It may look modest from the outside, but once inside everything is neat and well organized. There is a dining table that seats six, a large sofa, two cushioned chairs, a TV, and a kitchen tucked under the stairs, fully equipped with clean cookware. Upstairs, you’ll find one single bed and one queen bed, along with towels prepared for three guests and a compact bathroom with heating. What I loved most about this place was the view of the outdoors, the garden, and the theme Joan created for the house. Everything—from the curtains to the coasters and even the lanterns—featured horses, which was absolutely charming. And yes, the horses are right there in the backyard waiting for you. The yard is very spacious, with no unpleasant smells at all, and if you approach gently, one might even come closer to you. Of course, the entire area is safely fenced.

It's a neat and clean campground. The restrooms were spotless. It's peaceful and beautiful. The linens package I received was a pleasant bonus. Comforter and pillows were plush, sheets were nice and towels seemed new. Very nice! Staff was pleasant and polite. It's been over 15 years since I've been camping and the cabin with linens was a step up I needed. I would book again.

We had a lovely overnight! It was peaceful, clean, quiet, and secluded, too! We also loved the fresh cedar smell of the cabin! The directions and signage were great and the instructions in the cabin were very clear, too! We really enjoyed this place. It was quiet and the property is lovely. Nice to be close to Boston without being in the middle of everything. We enjoyed visiting the horses and walking to the heritage park and the rail trail a few blocks away. The cottage is comfortable and charming. It does have some mustiness but overall it was great.
