The best yurts near Ashland

·

Ashland punches above its weight for yurt camping. With 19 yurt stays in the area, you’ll find setups that range from rustic to downright plush, with average nightly prices landing around $107—though you can snag a spot for as little as $45. Local favorites like Toad Hill (111 reviews), Baker Rocks (46 reviews), and Off Grid Black Yurt (44 reviews) draw campers looking for something more comfortable than a tent, but less predictable than a motel. Bring your dog, pack a towel for the hot tub, and expect a proper shower at most sites. Wildlife-watching is easy—deer and songbirds are regular neighbours. When the snow falls, switch gears for snow sports or saddle up for horseback riding. This isn’t just camping; it’s a different pace, with a roof overhead and Ashland’s woods all around.

Our tent and yurt sites are located on 5 acres of private woods and are 4 acres apart to allow for maximum privacy for our guests! Parking for both sites are shared. The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area. Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets. Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking. We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides.
