They spent 10 fun-filled and adventurous years traveling throughout the Western U.S. After having their first child in 2019, they moved to Oregon to be part of a team opening an inn on the Oregon Coast. When COVID-19 began in early 2020, the couple saw the writing on the wall and decided to make their dream of owning property in Maine a reality. In August 2020, they purchased Jamberry Farm and moved to Harrison, Maine. The 33-acre budding homestead sits atop a hill in Southern Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Region. Harrison is a charming small town situated between Long Lake and Crystal Lake. In town, you’ll find everything you need for a visit to small-town New England. There are two general stores, a restaurant, an ice cream shop, a library, and a post office. Should you need or want access to more, it’s a short drive to the larger towns of Norway and Bridgton, about an hour to Portland, and approximately 45 minutes to North Conway, New Hampshire, and the White Mountains. A 5- to 20-minute drive will take you to beautiful scenic hikes, cozy lake beaches, and meandering rivers where you can float or fish. The farm is truly in the perfect location to experience all that this part of New England has to offer. James and Adrienne have always enjoyed hosting friends and family from near and far. Adrienne has a degree in Hospitality Management and spent her career working in the service industry until she stepped away to stay home with her children. James is a carpenter whose craftsmanship shines through in projects all around the property, including their flagship rental accommodation, The Tiny House. Jamberry Farm is a place where both of their experience and expertise come together to create a unique and personalized experience for their guests. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour drive in any direction. A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators. Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! There are places you stay, and then there are places that somehow feel like they were exactly what your soul needed at exactly the right time. Jamberry Farm was the latter for me. From the moment I arrived, I felt an incredible sense of peace, comfort, and solitude. The property is absolutely beautiful, and there is something so special about being surrounded by nature, quiet, and the simple beauty of the farm. It was the kind of place where I could finally exhale, slow down, and just be. I was especially grateful for how comfortable and safe I felt here. It never felt like I was simply another guest passing through. There was a warmth and thoughtfulness to the experience that made the stay feel personal and genuinely welcoming. Jamberry Farm gave me something I desperately needed: a little solitude, a little beauty, and a chance to reset. I left with so much gratitude for this place and the people who have created such a beautiful little retreat. I would absolutely stay here again and hope I get the opportunity to return someday, and hopefully for a longer visit next time. ❤️ Thank you for creating such a peaceful and special place. Andrea was so prompt in responses right from the start, and as a parent myself, I understand how that can be challenging so I value that even more. When my partner and I arrived, she greeted us at the car and offered to help carry our things as she guided us to the cabin. And was attentive to all of our needs, flexible with my ask of the hot tub. I did the date add on and we had the sweet touch of a big slice of cake to share...I don't know that that was part of it..so I think it may have been a special and thoughtful touch. Really can't say enough sweet things about how our stay was, and the property! We love how everything was sourced by found items and materials from the land. A true fairy cottage experience. It rained during our stay but that just made it extra special to us, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of rain drumming on the sheer roof, the bright greens of the forest...magical. We did the hot tubs and it was perfect. I really wish we could just go back for the tubs sometime..I would do that in a heartbeat! (Although realistically I wpuld probably also want to stay...lol) This was an all around peaceful experience and Andrea was so warm which made all the difference. Adrienne’s land offered us a very unique place to stay. It was essentially a tiny house on wheels, very comfortable. We went to the homestead to watch the meter showers and it did not disappoint. There were no mosquitoes! Not one bite laying out in there field. Not sure if that’s a good thing, but it does make the stay comfortable.

Weekend Trip to Toad Hill

Toad Hill was a great stay experience! The Tiny Cabin was comfortable, clean, and secure from the elements, which was really appreciated when a line of heavy thunderstorms rolled through! The site is very remote, quiet, and relaxing, and the night sky couldn't be beat! Justin was a good host and made sure to provide adequate information before our stay, and he answered questions quickly and effectively. We hope to be back again sometime! Thanks!

Fell in love with this spot Labor Day last year. A week stay was even better. Location feels private, being right on the water is ideal for me and my chocolate lab. Personally enjoyed swimming. While I didn’t fish, I saw many people doing so. Even on hot days nights are refreshingly cool. Amenities are close by. Accommodations are simple, but I found them to be very comfortable. Bonus, owner Judith is a joy to work with.

My wife and I booked this as a couples' getaway and had a wonderful time. Despite rainy weather for much of our stay, the pondfront setting was beautiful and peaceful. The wood-burning stove made the cottage especially cozy, and we found ourselves enjoying the sound of the rain and the view across the water. A perfect place to unplug, relax, and spend quality time together. We'd definitely come back.

The perfect feeling of elevated camping! The wrap around windows and bench seats make this place so cozy. You have most everything you may need as noted in other reviews. Worth noting electricity is on generator only but there was even a charger battery pack left for us with outlet/USB connections should you need it to charge phones and such. Only turned electricity on for use of coffee pot!

The tiny home / cabin was just perfect. It was on the property of the host's house, but felt very private. Roomier than I even expected, super comfortable, and well built / insulated as there was a pretty big storm the night we stayed and nothing leaked. Well-maintained and thoughtfully done.

Fern Gully is an absolutely accurate description of this woodland escape. Deep in the forest you will find a whimsically painted A-frame. Highly recommended for your journey to self reflection, practicing your bird song recognition, and reprogramming your natural circadian rhythm. There is a lake conveniently located a few miles away to get a break from the heat.

Sandy was a wonderful host! She greeted us when we arrived and had the sauna heated up and ready to go, which was such a nice touch. She was very easy to get in touch with and always available whenever we needed anything. The space itself is unique, cute, beautiful, and so relaxing.
