This listing is for a growing and ever-changing homestead property on a small hill overlooking our family farm/home! We welcome those interested in learning more and engaging with us and the animals that live here on the farm to do so during their stay! Currently, there are four wood chickens and a private camper space to the left of the Sky Shed. James, our farm friend, and 3 dogs have an extended stay with us this 2026 season and might be on the property during your stay. Please do respect their and our spaces! We hope our guests will explore the property; we have trails looping throughout it, marked in orange, and we plan to build more over the years! We welcome well-mannered dogs on the property being mindful that it is located on a small hill overlooking our family home (touch_of_grey on Instagram) which houses wood chickens (left of shed stay), two growing kiddos, two working-from-home adults, and as of 2026, 2 White German Shepard/Great Pyrenees dogs (Bos and Ley who are 2 years old and learning), a chair lounging goat (Buttercup), a goose (the JuJu, good and bad - they can be, so best to be on guard), and many ducks and chickens. The wildflowers are in bloom for summer, and the song birds are singing. We invite you to join us in the woods! We are on Main Rd. (VT Route 8) and the property has a driveway entrance, making it easy to leave and explore the nearby areas of: South to Massachusetts: North Adams, MA (10 mins), which is home to Mass MoCA - the largest contemporary art museum in the country, and many wonderful spots to explore for shopping and dining. Williamstown, MA (20 mins), offers tons of hiking trails and The Clark museum. Staying in VT: Readsboro, VT (10 mins), has an out-of-this-world general store with food you don't expect to find in the woods; Readsboro General Store is a must-see, and sandwiches/salads you'll come back for! Readsboro Inn is the perfect place for an easy drive for drinks, a burger, or pizza, if you please! Wilmington, VT (20 mins), offers water activities, such as boating, swimming, and fishing! There are also hiking trails, like Mt. Olga in Molly State Park, and shopping on Main Street, flea market weekends, breweries, and fine dining can be found nearby. Snow Republic Brewery is a vibe worth basking in, in Dover, VT, north of Wilmington towards Mount Snow, where summer activities abound!Hillside shed equipped with electricity, WIFI, mini fridge, and a mini wood stove. The hosts were incredibly kind, communicative, and accommodating. From the moment we booked, the hosts reached out to check in with us. Throughout our stay we were able to make requests and ask questions with super quick responses. In another review someone mentioned that this is lowkey glamping and I HAVE to agree. They had everything we could possibly need. This was our first time “camping” and as first timers it was the best first experience. We loved the warm welcome from the wood chickens haha. It was so cozy and cute, we wish we didn’t have to leave. Thank you guys for everything and we absolutely WILL be back. ❤️

Really sweet spot! Touch of Grey Stays is a really rad little shed with everything we needed. Excellent vibes, great trails, and super responsive hosts. Natalie was lovely! Simple, comfortable, + def. would like to return.

Low Key Glamping

I had such a great time at the Sky Shed! I checked in for one, kid free night. It was the perfect time away where I holed up in the quiet reading. Natalie thought of everything with unique touches including: nature savage hunt, make up remover wipes, charging cables and blue tooth players, tea, a fridge, and more. Close enough to Vermont trails, good food, and museums right over the border - this is the place for a not camper to enjoy some relaxation. 100% will return.

Tiny Home, Campfires & Starry Skies

Our stay at Touch of Grey Stays was absolutely AMAZING! 🌲🏕️✨ The hosts were some of the kindest and most welcoming people we have ever met. They truly went above and beyond for us. ❤️ We HAVE to mention the campfire! 🔥 We gave them such short notice and asked if they could set one up, and they STILL made it happen! They put together a beautiful fire ring right next to the tiny home and gave us plenty of firewood. Sitting by the fire under those beautiful stars was a highlight of our weekend. 🌌🔥 We could even see the Milky Way faintly, which was crazy and cool! The tiny home was SO cute, cozy, and honestly felt like a hotel experience, but BETTER because you have your own private space surrounded by nature. 🌲🏡 Being able to park right next to it with our own private driveway was so convenient. They had Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, toaster oven, hot plate, cooking pot, utensils, wine glasses, toothbrush and toothpaste, binoculars, dog treats, and a water bowl! They thought of everything. The wood stove kept us extremely warm, even with all the windows open! 🔥 We also loved meeting their amazing animals, especially their sweet dogs, chickens, awesome goat, and crazy roosters with their ninja moves! 😂🐐🐓 They even gave us farm-fresh eggs! This was our first Hipcamp experience and the BEST vacation weekend ever! 🏕️🌲 If you love nature, privacy, animals, cozy spaces, and campfires, you will LOVE this place. Thank you SOOOO much for everything!❤️10000/10000 HIPCAMP SITE!!!
