When you come to camp here you are on a farm in transition. Girlfarm has been a local food go to for restaurants, farm family members, and regenerative agriculture interests. Today, the farm is looking forward to a new course in agri tourism as we begin planning walking gardens, art installations in the landscape, and interactive classes.

This site comes with a large tent on a raised platform, overlooking pastureland up towards Smith Peak. This two-story cabin has been in our family for over 50 years. It's located in a private community next to one of the largest resorts and marinas in South Lake Tahoe. Right next door is Camp Richardson Resort and Marina.
The cabin features a rustic design with five bedrooms—two downstairs and three upstairs—and three bathrooms, with two downstairs and one upstairs. We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here! The property is beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and Tod and Amy have taken the time to make the space very peaceful. The accommodations were spotless, and they provided everything we could possibly need for a perfect getaway. Tod and Amy are really welcoming and even shared some delicious treats with us. Their dogs, Blizzard and Stella, were also so sweet.
We loved walking the property with our own dog and really enjoyed learning more about the bees, visiting the greenhouses, and saying hi to the chickens.
The location is a huge plus! You are completely out in nature with all the privacy, and yet it is an easy 15 to 20 minute drive to Downtown Truckee. From there, we easily explored the area for rafting, hiking, Donner Lake, and Lake Tahoe. Everything is a very convenient drive away. Highly recommend staying here!

We thoroughly loved our stay at Lena's Landing! The location is peace, quiet, beautiful, and near spectacular hikes and lakes. The cottage is cozy, quaint, clean with a well-equipped kitchen and modern appliances. There's a small loft bed and cot that can fit snugly inside or on the porch. The host, Annett, is delightful and super accommodating and responsive. She has two friendly horses, a goat and dogs. Plus, there's a spacious, serene view from the cottage.

Our birthday weekend getaway was everything we could have hoped for. My partner and I were looking for a peaceful escape that felt completely secluded from the rest of the world, and this place exceeded every expectation.
We brought our two dogs, and they had the best time exploring and playing in the creek—they absolutely loved every minute of our stay. Dan did an incredible job making the space feel cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together.
To make the trip even more unforgettable, my partner proposed on our very first day there, making this beautiful place one we’ll always cherish. The directions were incredibly easy to follow, and the rock lookout was such a fun bonus with amazing views.
The outhouse was surprisingly clean and comfortable, and bathing in the creek was one of our favorite experiences. The cold water was such a refreshing shock and left us feeling completely rejuvenated afterward.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better weekend and can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Dan, for creating such a special getaway—we’ll always remember it.

Such a great place to get away from the world without being that far from it! Fun little cabin that's well stocked and still has all the creature comforts. It provided me the perfect balance of a "camping" feel but with the necessities for the folks in my party that aren't great campers. We came in the summer but this is one of those places that I'd love to be hunkered down in during a big Truckee snow storm.

My three young boys, our dog, and I just got back from a truly unforgettable trip! This spot is an absolute gem, nestled in a really pretty valley that feels secluded and peaceful. It’s an incredible spot that you simply cannot miss.
We had an amazing time playing in the creek, and the boys spent hours splashing around, racing their homemade boats, and playing hide-and-go seek in the surrounding woods. There are great hiking trails right nearby that were perfect for exploring together. In the evenings, we had the best time cooking dinner in the well-appointed cabin, and of course, roasting marshmallows under the stars. It's really nice having the option to either camp outside in a tent, or enjoy the comfortable and cozy cabin. The boys are already asking when we can go back.
This was the perfect escape. If you’re looking for a beautiful and family-friendly outdoor adventure, this is it!

We had the best time at Dan's semi-glamping spot! I took my 10 and 12 year old boys. It was so easy to arrive late on Friday and have most everything set up. The site is secluded, right on a creek with small swimming holes. The boys caught a ton of crawdads and had a great time on the SUPs at Lake Davis, which is a short 10min drive away. We'll be back with their mom!

Weekend Trip to Lena's Landing- A Cozy Cabin
Our stay at Lena's Landing was wonderful and made even more special by Anett and her beautiful property. The rustic tiny cabin was so cozy, with a comfortable loft bed. We loved looking out over the property and watching the dogs, goats, and horses roam freely. The peaceful setting was absolutely beautiful. We stayed here because it was recommended by a family friend and it exceeded every expectation. We were in town for a local bike race and only stayed one night, but it was the perfect place to rest after a long day of racing. What truly made our stay unforgettable was Anett. She is an incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming host who genuinely cares about her guests. She made us feel right at home. We are so grateful for our stay and cannot wait to return. Next time, we plan to stay longer so we can enjoy more of the property.

Anett was an outstanding host! We enjoyed our stay in Lena’s cabin and honestly slept so incredibly well. We wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was very clean and our stay included having access to: utensils, cooking pans, ground coffee, a french press, playing cards, propane stove top, a grill, a fire pit, a solar shower, the views of the meadows, stars and an opportunity to meet some of the farm animals (dogs, horses and Sully the goat). Thank you Anett for being such a very hospitable host & we look forward to coming to visit again soon ! 💚🌷

Absolutely best family experience I’ve ever had!! This was glamping to the max! We stayed in the modern “cabin” tiny home and honestly, the highlight was the high thread count of the sheets and bedding! So luxurious! And they said pet friendly they meant it. Our little pug was welcomed with open arms and we had such a good experience. Some places will say a pet friendly, but then add all these hidden fees and rules. Not this place. Straight forward pet deposit and rules. We stayed for Memorial Day weekend and they had so many family fun events for free! Bbq, live music, bounce house. Truly a wonderful community and paradise. We are even looking to buy into the cabin for the summer. Now let’s get into location. Perfectly located in the summer or winter months whether you are heading to Reno to scooter along the river walk, hit up the waterpark in sparks, or head to kings beach to winter wonderland proximity to snow parks and resorts. 10/10 experience! Highly recommend!! Oh and let’s not forget about the coffee pods and fire pit and free books to relax….truly amazing!!!

Weekend Trip to The Retreat on Big Grizzly Creek
Amazing stay on Dan’s property!! Perfect location where you feel removed from reality and can unplug. Easy access to the creek (literally right there) and awesome to see the trout feeding at dust! We just sat and watched all the nature come to life. Location was super close to Lake Davis so spent the day paddle boarding! Dan was very responsive to any questions we had.

I had a great time, amazing views of the meadow! Perfect spot to get a little peace of nature. Plenty of activities, and the river is a quick walk across the meadows for a swim. Bringing my fishing pole next time. Another perk was the night sky, haven’t seen that many starts in a bit. Also loved the view from the outdoor shower.

1 night at Lena's Landing- A Cozy Cabin
We wish we would have had the time to stay longer!! Everything was simply perfect. Our host was amazing, so kind, and despite the shortness of the time we enjoyed our talks and every moment on this beautiful peace of property. Everything we needed was there and we enjoyed making a small fire on our one night barbecue dinner using the little grill that has been provided. Solar bags for quick shower heated up well during the day and the outhouse was clean. Took a short walk down to the river even though this time of the year the ground was still pretty wet so walking through the meadow was a bit challenging. Bring hiking boots :) Enjoyed watching the train going by in the distance; during our short stay we only noticed it once . Never saw the next door neighbors and the very few cars passing by behind the cabin were no bother to us since it is a dead end road. We both used the loft bed which worked for us. Very tall people might choose to use the cot besides the loft bed for having more space. Despite no indoor plumbing, it’s been great to have running and clean water for coffee etc at the little dishwashing station.
Due to the absolutely gorgeous scenery in this area, this was our 2nd time visiting. ( first time through hip camp) We recommend this “ Camping ground” highly!!!!

The Cabin at Lena's Landing was so quaint and well thought out. Many personal touches that added to a lovely experience. The view of the meadow was my favorite as I enjoyed my morning coffee. Everything was provided to make this a memorable and enjoyable experience. The hostess, Anette, is charming and made sure I was comfortable and any questions were answered. I plan on returning to this peaceful spot and bringing my horse for the next stay. Great areas to ride and explore. Definitely recommend Lena's Landing.

Great spot! The site is well-isolated from neighbors and features a nice bench for meals and a solid fire pit. The stream on the property was a definite highlight. Dan also provided very clear, easy-to-follow directions. Highly recommended!
