We have a 5 acre suburban campsite that is quiet, yet close to amenities. Located in south Lincoln between Highway 2 and the city limit, near shopping, restaurants, and breweries. Our property has a small seasonal creek with a walking path next to it and through a forested area and meadow. Cottonwood Creek Camp has one RV site and one Tent site. This can be a peaceful place to stay for a quick stop, an extended stay or even during Husker game-day weekends. We are 6 minutes from Southpoint mall which offers a shuttle to Memorial Stadium. Super Target, Aldi's and many other grocery stores are only 5 minutes away. Disc golf and mini golf courses are 2 miles away. There is also access to the Lincoln bike trails via our residential streets. Laundry is available on site for an extra fee.

Expect to see wildlife: deer, turkey (Merriam’s and Rio Grande), sharp-tailed grouse, bald eagles, blue herons, prairie chickens, and a host of waterfowl, songbirds, and small animals call this home.
Sleep well—the night air is rich with pine and cedar. Wild turkeys roost in the trees. Overhead, the Milky Way is a spectacular canopy. The Sandhills is one of the few areas east of the Rocky Mountains free of city lights.
Try your hand at fly fishing, hunt for fossils, and listen to the murmur of pine trees that greeted the first pioneers. Pick a site for a family photo; we'll help you arrange a local photographer.
Above the canyon, the ranch includes nearly 1,000 acres of native grassland with species unique to the Nebraska Sandhills. The world-renowned Sandhills are the largest sand dune formation in the Western Hemisphere. The area was formed during the Pleistocene Epoch through a rare but perfect combination of water, wind, and sediment. Retreating waters deposited fine quartz sand, and the wind sculpted it into magnificent dunes. The fragile soil is now held in place by vegetation distinctive to the Sandhills.
Secluded RV, tent, and cabin sites are located near the canyon edge; all have creek access, beautiful views, native grass, and ample parking. Entry is accessible for larger RVs—the ranch is less than one mile off U.S. Highway 20.

Under the care of third generation steward, Lisa Betz-Marquez, the beautiful bluffs feature a stunning backdrop to a those seeking a private and peaceful experience, birding, wildlife-spotting, or an adventure-seeking hike.
Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie.
The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation.
RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie.
All sites share access to delicious potable water, a clean porta potty, and a funky outdoor camp shower (with unheated water), as well as private foot access to hiking at various levels of challenge to the south side of our nation's Scotts Bluff National Monument.
A small group of yearling cattle are at home on the prairie in summer months, and may share you the prairie tent area with campers in the months of May and June.
Prairie guests have relished the feeling of having the place to themselves to enjoy the majesty of the landscape, the magic of our starry night skies and the soulful communion with the land.
Lisa is the fourth generation of her family to live on Valley View Farm, located directly south of the prairie. Her family has been steward of these lands since 1925. In summer, you may spot Farmer Billy tending crops or setting irrigation at sunrise or sunset—it’s all part of the rhythm of farm life here. During October, it’s Pumpkin Patch season, and campers are welcome to enjoy all the fall vibes BE Farm has to offer.
BE Farm is a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly farm space. All are invited to come as they are and enjoy the farm with respect for one another and the land.
Please note: From mid-September through the end of October, the farm is open to the public on Fridays (4 p.m.–dark), Saturdays (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), and Sundays (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). While other guests will be on the property during these hours, the campsite is set off to the side and designed to remain quiet and undisturbed.

This property is 110 acres all together. We have cattle that do visit the pastures but can be excluded if need be.
Nice rolling hills with Oak Savannas in the low areas. Lots of great native wildlife and plants that bloom from early spring through late summer. In the Fall the leaves are amazing.
There is a rough outhouse at the primitive campsite. No electricity but there is water and trash bins located at the farmstead. We do want our guests to be comfortable but this is definitely a rough camping site.
You may also want to grab a beef package from us for your stay or to take along with you. Many items available for sale right at the farm.

Get away from the hustle and bustle and settle into life on a real working farm in western Nebraska. BE Farm is a specialty cut-flower and pumpkin farm that offers a peaceful, grounded escape with wide-open skies and a strong sense of place.
Just over three hours from Denver, BE Farm is more than a place to spend the night—it’s a full immersion in farm life, nature, and fresh air. Nebraska’s iconic Chimney Rock is just 8 miles south, Scotts Bluff National Monument 25 miles west, and Carhenge 40 miles northeast, making day trips easy. At night, the Milky Way fills the sky—so bright it feels close enough to touch.
The campsite is tucked along Wildhorse Creek, shaded by trees and surrounded by wildlife. Deer, raccoons, and native birds are frequent visitors, and rainbow and brown trout glide through the water (no fishing allowed).
In summer, you may spot Farmer Billy tending crops or setting irrigation at sunrise or sunset—it’s all part of the rhythm of farm life here. During October, it’s Pumpkin Patch season, and campers are welcome to enjoy all the fall vibes BE Farm has to offer.
BE Farm is a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly farm space. All are invited to come as they are and enjoy the farm with respect for one another and the land.
Please note: From mid-September through the end of October, the farm is open to the public on Fridays (4 p.m.–dark), Saturdays (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), and Sundays (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). While other guests will be on the property during these hours, the campsite is set off to the side and designed to remain quiet and undisturbed.

The property, purchased in 2016 from hoarders, has been gradually improved by the owners, who are proud of their progress. The front area includes their home, garden (guests can take produce), and a shop for their turf business. Chickens roam freely near the host house, so pets should be monitored. There are also calm honeybees on site. Hipcamp sites are located at the back, along with a pond for swimming and fishing. From May to September, guests can use beach toys, a paddle board, kayak, and paddle boat. Hammocks and a large playground are also available for guests to enjoy.

This property is 110 acres all together. We have cattle that do visit the pastures but can be excluded if need be.
Nice rolling hills with Oak Savannas in the low areas. Lots of great native wildlife and plants that bloom from early spring through late summer. In the Fall the leaves are amazing.
There is a rough outhouse at the primitive campsite. No electricity but there is water and trash bins located at the farmstead. We do want our guests to be comfortable but this is definitely a rough camping site.
You may also want to grab a beef package from us for your stay or to take along with you. Many items available for sale right at the farm.

Our group really enjoyed staying at Jennifer’s. She was there to greet us at the gate, showed us around, and even picked a nice spot for us to set up our tents and vehicles. The site is very much in a pasture - you will be around cows, horses, and everything that goes along with it - but there is plenty of space and wide open skies. We did have high clearance vehicles; the drive in isn’t bad but 2wd might have trouble in the rain as the first hill down to the pasture is a little bit steep. There is a bathroom with a shower at the house, which is a bit of a drive from the campsite but very convenient to have nearby if you’re used to primitive camping. Jennifer is so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Her dogs were great and our dogs loved having space to run. We’d stay there anytime!

Easy Access & Clear Communication
The hosts provided detailed instructions and amenities information before my arrival, which made everything seamless. The site was easy to locate - no wandering around in the dark trying to figure out where to park - and I was able to pull in smoothly for the night.
Comfortable Amenities
The indoor community space was a real highlight. It’s one thing to have a place to park and sleep, but having access to a welcoming indoor area made the experience feel more like a retreat than just a parking spot. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

This site is ideal for travelers finding their road trip groove or needing a safe, peaceful place to rest between destinations. Thoughtful hosts, clear communication, and quality facilities make this a solid choice.

I messed up my reservation and we were arriving a night early. I called Luke, fortunately his number was on his Hipcamp page, and it wasn’t a problem. We were actually the only ones in the area, being the second week of November. We arrived in the dark and were able to figure out the site layout. My dogs loved being able to run around off leash for the first time in weeks and gave the site four paws up. Luke was driving down the road as we were leaving and rolled down his window to chat with us a bit. Overall an enjoyable experience!

Nebraska kept a piece of my heart after my visit. We stopped at the overlook about 20 miles west of here and I fell in love with the land! Stunning hilly grasslands. This spot is nestled in some beautiful landscape, the river is positively mesmerizing , the land was just clean/ pristine. Bob was welcoming and came out right away to make sure I knew where things were. We were pleasantly surprised by the train activity, it adds another layer of character to this spot. It was chilly as we stayed in mid November, I’d definitely like to plan a longer trip back there to spend some time kayaking the river.

This was the best site I've ever camped at and can't recommend it enough! You're all to yourself but still nearby other sites. The town, as well as Scottsbluff NM and Chimney Rock, are close by. Lisa was an excellent host, wish we could've talked longer! Make sure you're well prepared for the weather...the wind swept through the canyon just right and snapped our tent. Will definitely look for this place again the next time I come out!

I’ve never mountain biked next to a bunch of cows before! Hilarious. Anyways it was kind of sprinkling and I was very thankful they had a hose to use! The WiFi helped too.
