Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. This is a 27 foot diameter yurt on a working bison ranch with beautiful pasture views. It is one of 2 yurts with a center building between with a washer/dryer and storm shelter. A car port in front will protect your car from hail. Kitchen includes full size refrigerator, hot plate burner, microwave and toaster oven/air fryer. For cooks who prefer a more traditional oven/stove there is one in the center building. The space The circle of space in the yurt has 2 dividing walls to separate the bathroom and bedroom from the kitchen/living room space. The diameter of the yurt is 27 feet, giving it an area of 572 square feet. Guest access You will have the entire yurt to yourself. The patio, yard, carport, and laundry/storm shelter building may be shared with occupants in the other yurt.

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, and nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes a hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: You will be the only occupant in the building overnight. Guest access Guests are free to wander around the property, yard ,and garden, as long as they do not cross fences. There are chairs to sit outside. A pellet grill is available on request. Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Live in the round(yurt) with a 180 degree view of the pastures. You will often see the herd of bison. The space This 27 foot diameter yurt provides 568 square feet of living space with 4 windows and 2 doors to allow you a full view of sunrise, sunset, and the pastures around it. The sky can be viewed through the clear center dome. Inside climate can be controlled with radiant floor heat and a gas fireplace in the winter and air conditioner and ceiling fans in the summer. There is a covered car port and storm shelter next to the yurt to protect in foul weather. The kitchen is equipped with Keirug drink maker, basic cook wear, utensils, plates, cups, silverware, hot plate, microwave, and air fryer/toaster oven. For more conventional cooks there is a full size stove/oven in the shared center building. There is no Wi-Fi at this time but most phones will get reception and your hot spot can be used on the tv. Books, magazines, and DVD's are available for entertainment along with a few games. Guest access You will have the entire yurt to yourself. You will share the following spaces with guests in 1 other yurt: carport, laundry facilities, cook stove, storm shelter, patio areas, propane grill, and large yard. Other things to note There is one step getting into the yurts. Showers are handicap accessible.

The Nest
This was a wonderful stop on my post-retirement road trip. It's in a beautiful spot off the beaten track (aka Interstate 80). Both Karen and Marty were very gracious - Marty to me and my two dogs out to see the buffalo in his pickup truck, which was amazing. The Nest is cozy and well-supplied. I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

The Nature Center Yurt in pasture
The yurt was exactly as pictured and was a wonderful oasis after a long day of driving. At night, the stars were incredible. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend the experience!

An exceptionally well built out addition to the barn loft. Modern, clean, comfortable, great literature! Did not get to tour property as owners were not present, but could see the buffalo herd from the apartment.

Peaceful and Quiet Farm Atmosphere

The Nest
A fun little stay on a bison farm! It was incredibly soothing to fall asleep to the sound of crickets and the bison. The view at sunset and sunrise cannot be beat. The place was perfect for my one night stop in town and had everything I could have needed! The shower and laundry were extra appreciated after a long travel day. Close to town and easy to access! Thanks for the stay!

Amazing place to reconnect with Nature! Our children loved seeing the Bison and playing on the playground. Karen was super responsive and a great host.

The Nest
This was honestly one of the best stays I've had, and one of the best night's sleep that I've experienced. At night I opened up the windows and the crickets serenaded me to sleep. In the morning I woke up to the birds singing, baby bunnies playing, and the herd of bison nearby. The hosts are wonderful people, and they give you everything you need for a perfect glamping experience. Town is nearby for food or anything else you need. As a bonus a school field trip arrived for a tour and I got to ride along with them, which was the perfect end to a perfect stay. I was ready to move in, it was such a great experience!
