Our campsite is perfect for tent camping or campervans. Max 2 vehicles and up to 5 people. No pets. The bathhouse, communal firepit, and a sink with potable water are just a short walk away. Fires at the campsite are not allowed (use the communal firepit). Store all food and trash in your vehicles to avoid attracting bears.

Our insulated, Weatherport yurt has views of Smith Peak and room to stretch out. Three windows and a glass dome offer views of the mountains and the stars. Enjoy a sunset cocktail or a morning coffee on the deck. Fast Wifi available through Starlink. It includes a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, and hot-water kettle. And the A/C and heater keeps you comfotable, whatever the weather. Bedding, towels, and potable water are included. The shared, modern bath house, with hot showers, is just a short walk away. And a communal, large deck with sunshades and a fire pit are nearby on "the knoll". Fires are prohibited when fire bans are in effect. No pets No smoking in or near structures (within 100ft). Do not leave any trash or food outside. This endangers the lives of bears and other wildlife.

Bunkhouse Cabin - North

Experience nature, but with all of the conveniences in our custom, bunkhouse cabin. Fast Wifi available through Starlink. Enjoy coffee inside at the large, locally-crafted table or lounge outside with a cocktail on the expansive deck. Either way, the views are amazing. The cabin is equipped with a mini-split (A/C & heat), small kitchen, and two queen beds. And an air exchanger keeps the cabin air fresh. The kitchen has a sink (w/hot water), microwave, coffee maker, hot-water kettle, refrigerator, and a spacious dinning table. Bedding, towels, and tableware are all included. Large windows offer 360-degree views of Lost Sierra mountains. There is plenty of storage and space to accommodate two couples or a family. A large deck wraps around the cabin and has adirondack chairs. The shared, modern bath house, with hot showers, is just a short walk away. And, just a bit further on "the knoll", there is a communal, shade deck and fire pit. Fires are prohibited when fire bans are in effect. No pets No smoking in or near any structures (within 100ft). Amazing, secluded cabin camping
Yurt
Staying in the yurt at Forest’s property just south of Portola was awesome! The yurt was super comfortable, with plenty of space to sleep, lounge, and enjoy meals, drinks, and games. There was coffee, a full fridge/freezer, plenty of pillows and blankets, a radiating space heater, and plenty of natural light. The property was also really cool - hot showers and clean, roomy bathrooms, easily accessible potable water, and a great campfire ring with plenty of firewood. The night skies during our stay were incredible, and there was very little noise from the town/vehicles. Portola is a short five minute drive down the hill, and there are plenty of cute restaurants, cafes, and amenities. We can highly recommend the Brewing Lair and Lost Sierra Wine Co that are 20 minutes west in Blairsden! This cool, quaint, pseudo-remote cabin compound was an absolute gem, and the camp hosts Kayla and Austin were super kind and helpful. My wife and I wanted a quick, quiet little getaway from the city for a couple of days, and we got exactly what we wanted. We will be keeping this Beckwourth Peak High Camp location in our favorites for future stays!
