Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 37 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. **Be sure to visit recreation.gov to purchase the $2 entry reservation to Glacier Park...if you can't get one try again at 8am the day before or you can enter the park after 4pm without a ticket. Contact us if you need alternative ideas to get into the park. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, Josephine’s Speak Easy, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, Glacier Grill Restaurant and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). There is a freshwater spring where you can fill up containers of water in Bad Rock Canyon (between Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse on the way here... 10 min away from us). Look for the large pull off areas between the river and the rock canyon walls and a white pipe coming out of the rock. We've personally filled up at this spring for years! Showers are available at Pinewood Park Outdoor Pool in Columbia Falls (next to Cedar Creek Lodge) - It is $2 per person to enter the pool during Public Swim (Mon-Sun 1:30-4:15pm and Mon-Fri 6:30 pm- 8:15pm) or during Lap Swim (Mon-Fri 12-1pm and 5-6pm). They have a private bathroom with a shower and also open showers in the changing rooms. The pool opens the second week of June and closes the first or second week of August. The RV site is about 130 feet from the house and is surrounded by natural trees and planted blue spruce that make it very private. it has a small lawn area, a rock patio with picnic table and propane BBQ. There is about a 15 foot space on the utilities side of the RV and then an 8 foot privacy fence between our property and the neighbors property. We are conveniently located near Whitefish, Kalispell, and Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Lots to do! We are not near Helena Flats as the description says. We are just south of Whitefish about 4 miles off of Hwy 93.

We offer a NEW OUTDOOR SHOWER, secured with a code/lock included in your reservation( request a code from HIPCAMP HOST) a well maintained, clean port-a-potty toilets, and a bear-proof trash dumpster located up the hill behind our lodge. Each Guest is required to dispose of trash before leaving the property in this designated area. Table and chairs will be available on or near each site for community use, and shared propane BBQ grill is available for use in the lower tent area. The Mooseshroom

The Mooseshroom is an adult only (21+) camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts and a tipi available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings.***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside a bit at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. You can hike the trails, go out to dinner, be gone for a long day and know your furry family member is well taken care of with on-site doggie care. Booking is available to book under EXTRAS (please book in advance). -ABOUT THE SITE: You will have a large, heavily shaded space with a yard: picnic table with tablecloth, chairs, umbrella; gas grill; hammock; firepit with chairs; outdoor shower with heat-on-demand. We have two driveways, one in the front of the property where you will enter, it is exclusively yours. In the back, there is another driveway/entrance that comes in from another street. This private residence is shared with the owner's residence and a guest cabin. RV/Camper must have a toilet. While we do not have disposal on site, there are two conveniently located RV dumping stations, one 4 miles directly north in Whitefish and one 7 miles directly south in Kalispell. LOCATION: At the edge of Glacier National Park in the Northern Rocky Mountains is a vibrant town built around a shared appreciation of the wild. From the mountains rich with forests, lakes and rivers to the welcoming downtown, this is a place worth exploring and protecting for all those who love it. We are a suburban half-acre, heavily wooded lot conveniently located 10 minutes south of downtown WHITEFISH and 12 minutes north of the hub of KALISPELL. We are only a 25-minute drive to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. 12 minutes to WHITEFISH LAKE BEACH. 25 minutes to FLATHEAD LAKE BEACH and 15 minutes to LES MASON STATE PARK/BEACH (where dogs are allowed). WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT is a 20-minute drive up the mountain. A ski resort in the winter, there is a lot to do in the summer: Zip lines, mountain biking, slides for the kids and more - SkiWhitefish.com. The CANADIAN BORDER is only 60 miles north. Charming downtown WHITEFISH has music in the park, great restaurants and shops, a golf course and, a river runs through it for paddle boarding, and kayaking. The WHITEFISH DOG PARK is a sprawling, 5-acre dog park in a picturesque setting with stunning views of mountains, passing trains, wide open space for lots of play areas, beach & pond, picnic tables, wheelchair accessible, fully accessible paved paths, benches, a drinking fountain for dogs and people, community pavilion, small dog area, agility course, dog wash station and trees. There are HIKING TRAILS ONLY 4 BLOCKS FROM THE SITE, suitable for mountain bikers, children and is very dog friendly. Booking must have a 24-hour notice, no same-day bookings. Please note that we are not far from Highway 93 so you can hear the traffic. If you are looking for a super quiet, isolated site far from activity, this may not be the best fit for you. The RV site is about 130 feet from the house and is surrounded by natural trees and planted blue spruce that make it very private. it has a small lawn area, a rock patio with picnic table and propane BBQ. There is about a 15 foot space on the utilities side of the RV and then an 8 foot privacy fence between our property and the neighbors property. We are conveniently located near Whitefish, Kalispell, and Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Lots to do! We are not near Helena Flats as the description says. We are just south of Whitefish about 4 miles off of Hwy 93.

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 37 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. **Be sure to visit recreation.gov to purchase the $2 entry reservation to Glacier Park...if you can't get one try again at 8am the day before or you can enter the park after 4pm without a ticket. Contact us if you need alternative ideas to get into the park. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, Josephine’s Speak Easy, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, Glacier Grill Restaurant and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). There is a freshwater spring where you can fill up containers of water in Bad Rock Canyon (between Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse on the way here... 10 min away from us). Look for the large pull off areas between the river and the rock canyon walls and a white pipe coming out of the rock. We've personally filled up at this spring for years! Showers are available at Pinewood Park Outdoor Pool in Columbia Falls (next to Cedar Creek Lodge) - It is $2 per person to enter the pool during Public Swim (Mon-Sun 1:30-4:15pm and Mon-Fri 6:30 pm- 8:15pm) or during Lap Swim (Mon-Fri 12-1pm and 5-6pm). They have a private bathroom with a shower and also open showers in the changing rooms. The pool opens the second week of June and closes the first or second week of August. The Mooseshroom

The Mooseshroom is an adult only (21+) camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts and a tipi available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings.***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. We’re an hour from Glacier National Park, 45 minutes from the resort towns of Whitefish, and Bigfork (both with great, independent shops and restaurants), and Flathead Lake, the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi. There is easy access to the Lost Trail National Wildlife Refuge within 15 minutes from the campsite. Our driveway goes right uphill and then take a left onto the grass-covered forest road on our property. With two switchbacks, you'll climb about 100 feet to your private campsite which includes a wooden platform, screened room, hammocks, cozy chairs, picnic table, composting toilet, solar shower, a changing room, and a full view of the lake. You’ll be camping at the highest point on our property, where you'll take in 360 degree views of sub-alpine forest, a rocky ravine and almost the full length of the beautiful Little Bitterroot Lake with public access less than 3 miles away! You'll gaze down and see glimpses of our tiny farm and may see our Shetland Sheep, Alpacas and Cashmere goats foraging, our chickens scratching about, our tiny orchard, the 120-year old log cabin, originally built up the road when the Northern Pacific Railroad went through this area and that we dismantled and rebuilt here on our farm, and of course the tiny pottery studio where Patti works most days creating pottery designed to celebrate the simple pleasures in life and the comforts of home. Less than three miles down the road is the Hilltop Hitching Post, a sweet local hangout for food, drinks and good conversation. You'll pass a convenience store/gas station and post office on your way to our farm. Looking back toward the ravine, you may see some wildlife milling about, likely including whitetail deer with a possible sighting of elk, moose, and black bear. Frequently eagles and other large birds of prey can be observed overhead at the campsite riding the air currents down to the lake. We are surrounded by beautiful mountain lakes, hiking trails, biking, fishing, kayaking, floating, and paddling adventures.

Also don’t be surprised if you get a warm visit from our American bully Ophelia… We are constantly making improvements on the land and working on building a garden , we are excited to see the place evolve more this season! The location of the property is 7 miles from the Glacier National Park entrance, and walking distance to several amenities, including the Stonefly Lounge, Glacier Distillery, and Glacier Grill. Despite being close to things, our sites are very private and give you the feel as if you are out in the woods. There is a small walk thru the property to both sites and there is a wagon at the parking spots there for your use to help haul your things if needed and the trail is marked and has small lights to help for those who arrive late.
