2 nights at Oxen-Le-Fields Montana

Lynda’s tent was so nice to stay in! She is an incredible host, baked fresh cookies and had everything looking perfect. The property is STUNNING and so peaceful up there. I love how she had snacks available, watercolor and rock painting for kids, a hammock, wood stove, heater, and everything you could wish for in a place like that! Clearly, she is passionate about camping and has put in a lot of love into her sites.

1 night at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping

A little taste of Heaven! Sanctuary Farm was a peaceful retreat. The yurt was rejuvenating and comfortable. Everything was a perfect balance of both comfort and function. There was electricity and minimal wifi, which was wonderful to be unplugged for a short while. Matt met us upon arrival and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and he gave us privacy and was respectful. Water was provided upon arrival which was much needed. We loved seeing their kittens, goats, sheep, and cattle dog Huckleberry. I definitely recommend the breakfast, the sourdough waffle sandwich was delicious and he was so kind to accommodate my vegetarian preference. I wish we could have stayed longer. I enjoyed reading the guestbook of all who have graced the sanctuary. It was the perfect start to our trip. A creek ran right through the property, which was wonderful to listen to from our home-away-from-home. It would be a pleasure to visit again; I highly recommend staying here if you’re anywhere near the area. It’s worth the drive, and has a saloon not too far up the road. Five stars and hope to be back soon. So peaceful and comfortable. Thank you, Matt and Liz!

1 night at Oxen-Le-Fields Montana

Lynda was a wonderful host and we felt warmly welcomed from the first moment. The views are just as beautiful as the photos, and the location is peaceful and serene. We enjoyed access to the neighboring forest land for an evening hike. Our accommodations in Tent #1 were cozy and comfortable. We appreciated finding the woodstove stocked and ready to go - perfect for making coffee and breakfast. Water is available from a spigot and restroom facilities are in a small but clean tent with a composting toilet. WiFi and cell service were reliable. We loved our stay. Highly recommend!

The sheep pasture is peaceful. The neighbors were pleasant and being asked to help with the shearing of the sheep was an unexpected pleasure. There's plenty to do in the area and the local services are excellent too.

Weekend Trip to Triple Bridges Campground

Booked this campsite last minute after finding out other state park campsites were full and I am so glad we found this place!!! It’s such a hidden gem- outstanding views overlooking old railway bridge over the clark fork, and a walking bridge as well woth great views! The sandy beach is a short little walk (5 mins seriously) and the views were stunning, seriously. The little beach was perfect, it offered privacy, great place to relax & swim, plus it was fun to watch all the rafters/kayakers! Plenty of space it explore the woods & river. You do hear some highway noise, but it was tolerable and didn’t disrupt sleep or activities. You also hear the train, but I enjoyed it! Although it says no campfires, we messaged the host for permission and we were able to start one which was awesome too, the hosts were very kind and quick to respond. Super cool little spot and I’d totally recommend and come back!

Weekend Trip to TK Ranch

We were in town for a baseball tournament in Stevensville and needed a camping spot nearby. We found TK Ranch, just about a mile off Highway 93, and only a 10-minute drive to the baseball fields. What we discovered upon arrival was a hidden paradise tucked away in the woods. The seasonal creek was running, and my dogs absolutely loved it. Even though our campsite was close to the house, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves — so peaceful and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed after long days at the tournament. Stephen, the host, was very quick to respond and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. The only downside was that we didn’t get to explore the nearby Kootenai Creek Trailhead, which is just half a mile away, but it’s definitely on our list for next time. Overall, I highly recommend TK Ranch and Stephen as a host. We’ll definitely be back!

What a nice, quiet and relaxed spot to stay for the night! We arrived to super frie day dogs and found ourselves camped out on a lush lawn for the night. Beautiful Arabian horses greeted us in the paddocks and 2 wonderful grey cats helped us to find our way around. The little creek pouring through the property was peaceful and calming. Views of the mountains around d the valley were spectacular. Site had water and power and a fire pit with picnic table.

There was a nice park nearby and a nice surrounding area. The campground was clean and a good stop for the night.

A small family farm working toward sustainability. Easy to access from I-90, drive in camping for a stop overnight or a home base while you explore the many attractions nearby. Learn more about this land: We are 20 miles east of Missoula, MT near the Kettlehouse Ampitheater in Bonner. Our location is halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. There are mountain bike paths, river access points for paddling, rafting or fishing within minutes of our land. We can even help you know where to go. Our land is surrounded by Nature Conservancy land with a public recreation easement, so you can hike and take your horse for a ride very easily, just let us know and we will point you in the right direction. Our child had a significant medical emergency that required a lot of travel to Seattle Children's and 4 brain surgeries recently, so we are just getting the garden back up and running and the sheep are happy. Unfortunately no chickens this year. In a vehicle, you can pull into one of our pastures for your stay. Where you are depends on which field the sheep are eating! Tents also work in the field. We do not have any hookups, but there is potable water in the blue hydrant by the yellow tube. The fields are that - pasture fields. There are quiet neighbors across the fence who now have goats on one side. We are happy to offer advice about local attractions via messaging. This is pack it in, pack it out.

God's Country Camping

I am one mile from Hwy 93 so you can hear traffic noise sometimes. Planes do fly over once in awhile as well. This is a dry camp and rustic camping, sites are fairly far apart. This property is so beautiful and peaceful out here at night. Seasonal Spring fed pond, Ponderosa pine trees, fallen white birch, rustic and gorgeous. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle. The idea of my place is more wilderness camping, there is wildlife that comes around. RV camp spots on the east and west end of the pond. Camp spot out by the wooden round pen on the west side. Completely private, borders 2000 acres of a bird sanctuary. Two blocks from Bitterroot river canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swim, trails, hiking, scenery, wildlife. My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. So as the summer goes on the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.

A queen bed, futon and air mattress are available for sleeping! Family and pet friendly property with plenty of space to pitch a tent next to the cabin if you have more guests in your party (tents will be an additional fee, $10 per person in addition to the 4 person cabin max). Excellent cell service if you have Verizon or carriers that pull from those towers. Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! If you have questions about fun things to do please reach out to us! Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin. Water: Portable toilet onsite, sealson warm shower and sink also available, we recently upgraded to a JOOLCA hot water system so guests can have running water and a warm outdoor shower. We provide 5 gal of potable water in the colder months and have running water nearby for easy refill of water containers if needed in the warmer months. We do have 2 very frienly dogs that roam the property freely, if you pet is reactive please let us know so we can monitor our dogs when letting them outside to do their business. Bitterroot Panorama

See the extras section for details.** Resting in the foothills of the sapphire mountains, just outside the town of Stevensville Montana, this beautiful 20 acre property is conveniently located halfway between Hamilton and Missoula; it is also a good midway point between Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. The outdoor activities are endless. Biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting, trail riding, snow skiing and more are all within reach. Deer, turkey, osprey, killdeer, nighthawks, and eagles frequent the property as well as the occasional elk herd; and the Lee Metcalf wildlife refuge is about 15 minutes away. The property sits about 400’ above the valley floor; giving spectacular panoramic views of the bitterroot valley and mountains, as well as incredible sunsets. The paved road ends about 1 mile before the property, the remaining mile is a gravel road. There is also a one lane bridge right before you get to the property. Firewood is available for use at no charge. Sewer hookup has not been run to the site yet but if you have a portable tank, or want to pull the camper over to the house, it can be dumped as needed beside the garage; just ask and I can show you where the pipe is. There is a nema 14-50 hookup providing 50 amp power at the site; if needed I do have a 50 to 30 amp adapter you can borrow during your stay. Water hookup is also available at the site, but may be limited in freezing weather. If temperatures are to cold we can turn on the water to fill your tank as needed and then blow the line back out. If you need to borrow a potable water hose let me know as i keep those in the garage unless needed. There is a non-potable water hose that is available at the site, with a spray nozzle, incase you need to rinse or wash off gear, vehicles, etc. SpaceX Starlink high speed internet is available via WiFi. You can also charge your electric vehicle, if needed, with the power at the campsite or I have another nema 14-50 plug available at the garage of the main house. Be sure to let me know if you will need the plug at the garage so I can make sure it is accessible.
