There is private property surrounding us, so please be mindful of where you are hiking.

If towing a trailer, it must be lightweight off road style, no bigger than 16' long.
4WD or AWD WITH snow-tires/chains/or really good all seasons is mandatory
Access from Beehive Basin Road (plowed regularly but always snow/ice packed)
No 2wd as the roads are too steep, even with snow tires.
Space for one RV/Van or small camper trailer 16'
If towing a trailer, chains are mandatory with a powerful tow vehicle as the roads around here are very steep and windy.

Beautiful location. Stayed here in the winter with a Lance truck camper to access skiing. Jeff was gracious and accommodating. Electric hook ups worked great. About 2 miles to Big Sky Resort. You absolutely need 4wd with good tires to access home. Very steep snow covered roads but I had no problem with stock pickup 4wd. If you like to sleep level, you will need a leveling blocks.

Beehive was a great spot to stay! Our dogs loved it and having all the hookups was a plus. Good access to skiing and nice to have trails right there to the back country. It was easy access in our truck but it is steep so just be aware.

This is one of the most amazing spots ever. All of the luxuries you might need to camp; power, septic, water. Icing on the cake has to be the Wood-Fired sauna and spectacular views. Jeff was absolutely amazing to work with and we will 100% be back.

Jeff's place is a perfect spot for someone wanting to be close to Big Sky. Less than a 5 minute drive to the mountain and you can walk to Beehive Basin trailhead if you are a backcountry enthusiast. Jeff is very accommodating and helpful. Only drawback is the approach to the property is very steep and icy during the winter.

Jeff and his wife have an amazing property and were very welcoming and responsive. This is a perfect base near Big Sky. Access is as advertised…4WD, solid M+S tires and comfort driving steep and icy roads in winter is necessary but this just adds to the charm of the property.

Great location for accessing west Glacier! Quiet and peaceful, would definitely recommend. Having access to the lodge was a real treat, we cooked our dinner under the porch roof since it was raining and it was lovely.

Great spot right on the river! The dogs loved the ability to play in the water all day. Wish there was more of a beach front to sit in chairs in the water but we just went down to the fishing access a little bit down the road and no one was there and has a beach area. Full hookups were fantastic and allows for a group of 3 RVs. Owner very communicative and accommodating. Thanks again!

Great little campsite that’s easy to access. We stayed in site 4. There was a 50 amp hookup as well as water hookup available. The site also had a picnic table and a charcoal grill. The lodge was clean and the bathroom and shower were very convenient. There was lots to do within a 10-15 minute drive including the Glacier National Park west entrance.

Absolutely loved Camp Caribou! Yeah, yeah…the train….I was in a tent and I think it only came through 2, maybe 3 times each night…didn’t honk excessively like I’ve heard other trains do…did his thing and I fell right back to sleep (and I was in a tent!). Because besides that, Tomi’s place was incredibly quiet and peaceful. And only FIFTEEN minutes from Glacier’s West entrance so I was able to be at my first hike super early to secure parking. And the lodge?? OMG….a camper’s dream! Hot shower, fridge, microwave, TV with DVDs, wifi, coffee….I mean….I felt like I was at an Airbnb and not just a campground! I only did 2 nights, but loved the firepit setup and would have used it if I stayed longer, for sure. And last, but certainly not least, Tomi was an incredible hostess….very responsive, accommodating, helpful, and sweet. I’m not sure when I’ll get back to the area, but Camp Caribou will be my top pick if I do ever return! Highly recommend!
