💧 DRY CAMPING: No hookups provided. What hydrants are available throughout campground.
🚛 LARGE RIGS: Sites 1–6 are best for larger vehicles. These are in an open, flat meadow with views of the pond.
⛺ SECLUDED TENTS: We recommend the "Back Meadow" (Sites 7–20) for more privacy, especially in July.
📏 LIMITS: Sites 7–20 accommodate vehicles/trailers up to 26 feet total length.
🚻 AMENITIES: All sites are back-in (except 13 and 17, which are pull-through) offer partial shade, and have access to clean vault toilets.

***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

The surrounding landscape rewards curiosity: the Big Sag, a vast open depression visible from the property; miles of biking and hiking roads; Judith Landing State Park downstream; and the White Cliffs section of the Wild and Scenic Missouri River Breaks—one of the most dramatic landscapes in Montana—accessible by river float.
In September and October, bull elk gather in the river bottoms and their bugles carry through the dawn. As cows move through the golden cottonwood corridors, it provides one of the best elk-viewing opportunities in the region.

Lake access is only twenty minutes to the closest, Murphy Lake. Half a dozen other lakes within a thirty minute range. We have a campfire ring set up at your RV/Camp site and camp wood is available. You have fresh, potable water on site as well as electric hook-up. No RV dump available.
We are pet friendly! Since we do have neighbors and wildlife, we require pets to be leashed when not secured in our fenced area. We are located outside of the range of cell service when on-site however we do have wifi available at the host cabin.

For generations, this stretch of land where the Judith River empties into the Missouri has been a gathering place—for Indigenous peoples, for the Corps of Discovery, and for the ranchers and explorers who followed. It still draws people to it in a way that is hard to explain until you are standing at the confluence, looking upstream.
American Prairie has built three small huts here—each distinct, each anchored to a chapter of this place's story. They are comfortable without being fancy; the design intentionally keeps your attention outside, where it belongs.
The surrounding landscape rewards curiosity: the Big Sag, a vast open depression visible from the property; miles of biking and hiking roads; Judith Landing State Park downstream; and the White Cliffs section of the Wild and Scenic Missouri River Breaks—one of the most dramatic landscapes in Montana—accessible by river float.
In September and October, bull elk gather in the river bottoms and their bugles carry through the dawn. As cows move through the golden cottonwood corridors, it provides one of the best elk-viewing opportunities in the region.

If you are looking for quietude, this is your spot! Twenty acres situated minutes from lakes, rivers and US Forest Service land. Partly forested and partly pasture land, we boast Aspen, Fir, Spruce and Pine trees. Wildlife that commonly pass through include coyote, elk, deer and badger. Lots of bird life from woodpeckers and blue jays to eagles and owls. Fuel, groceries and river access available a short fifteen minute drive away.
Lake access is only twenty minutes to the closest, Murphy Lake. Half a dozen other lakes within a thirty minute range. We have a campfire ring set up at your RV/Camp site and camp wood is available. You have fresh, potable water on site as well as electric hook-up. No RV dump available.
We are pet friendly! Since we do have neighbors and wildlife, we require pets to be leashed when not secured in our fenced area. We are located outside of the range of cell service when on-site however we do have wifi available at the host cabin.

Not only is it beautiful on the inside, the bed is INSANELY comfortable (heated blanket was super helpful during a 30 something degree night), and the view in the morning is breathtaking. I loved staying here. About 1.5 hours south of Missoula in the Bitterroot mountains lies this wonderful camp. It is surrounded by trees, trails, and mountains. Finding it was very easy, checking in was simple and communication was awesome. The photos and small touches of hospitality do not do this space justice. Come for relaxation and amenities, watch the stars at night, and stay warm by the fire. I was blown away and cannot wait to return.

Weekend Trip to Oxen-Le-Fields Montana
We spent 2 incredible nights at Oxen Le Fields. Lynda greeted us upon arriving and her kind and friendly demeanor set a great tone for the trip. We enjoyed driving up to Sula peak and exploring the Bitterroot Valley. The bed was super comfortable and we had a blast being able to camp comfortably on a cool fall weekend. Our last morning we woke up to beautiful snow covered fields and mountains. It was so cozy in the tent, Lynda made sure we had plenty of firewood and the stove and electric blankets kept us very warm. Would highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely beautiful property. Thoughtful accommodations(games, solar powered flashlight/radio, books, hiking poles). Truly a wonderful experience. We didn’t encounter any bears but we did get to see a few deer. I recommend getting there during the light hours so you can find your way. Easy to follow instruction. Hosts are responsive and welcoming. Propane fire pit was a nice bonus. Our indoor heater was out of propane but we were comfortable. Bathroom and shower are down a little ways from the a-frame but not a bad walk. Definitely set up for a camper ready for a little glamp :)

McKenzie was great. She was very quick to reply to questions and super accommodating. Our check in time changed a couple of times d/t unforeseen delays getting to Montana - but she was really easy to work with and understanding.
The 5th wheel was great. Lots of space and well kept. Bedrooms were a nice surprise (bigger than appeared in the pics). Shower was hot and plenty large enough for me (6 ft and 245lbs) to clean up. Water and heat were included and welcome.
The view of the mountains out of the camper door were a pleasant way to wake up and her property was secluded enough and well kept. Easy instructions and only about an hour north of Bozeman.
Would def stay with her again if we made it back up this way.

We loved our stay in the tube site! It was perfect for us, since we flew in and didn’t want to travel with much camping gear. Plus it’s bear proof! The on-site mercantile had everything you might need, including coffee, bear spray, solar showers, and firewood. Jake was super accommodating and even heated up water for our forest shower a couple of times. The location was also perfect for accessing the park, and we enjoyed free coffee (with our own cup) each morning. We recommend Josephine’s for dinner just down the road.
