Weekend Trip to Four Creeks Campground

We had the most amazing weekend at Four Creeks! From the huge gorgeous tree at our site, to easy creek access, amazing rock hunting, peaceful scenery, the stars, and so much more - I can’t recommend this campground enough! In a great location with so many things around, you’ll never be bored. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Rocky Falls Campsite

This site is private with lots of space to enjoy. It’s also close to a lot of nature trails and scenic viewpoints! Having electricity was great as it is very dark. This is definitely a good site for stargazing! We spent 2 nights in a tent and canoed the Jacks Fork River. Good spot and excellent communication with the host!

Weekend Trip to Spring Lake Ranch

When we booked this on Hipcamp, we thought it was just camping- but it’s so much more! This place is super cool. When you arrive you are greeted by cows and horses, they also have goats. And as others have mentioned in the comments, the ranch dogs roaming around work hard at their jobs but are also as sweet as can be (interacted great with our dog as well!). We booked the campsites on the lake which was beautiful spot. The spots were a little closer together than we expected, but be we had no problem fitting our 8 person sized tent. This place had horse back riding, a dock for fishing, multiple great spots for gatherings and fire pits. They also have some really cool cabin rentals as well. It’s very family, kid, and dog friendly. The bathrooms are also very nice. If you are looking to plan a trip with a group this would be great place! Some campers next to us came with a group (some tent camped, some RV, and some stayed in cabins). If was so easy for them to meet up and had some large areas to hold little cookouts/fire pits gatherings. Overall, I would highly recommend. You can he’ll they take pride in their place and the experiences they offer.

I went camping last weekend and had a great experience overall. The location was beautiful and peaceful, and the surrounding area was perfect for exploring. I was also impressed with the infrastructure—it was well-maintained and made the stay very comfortable. Even though the weather was rainy at times, I still had a really good time. It didn’t take away from the experience at all. I’ll definitely be coming back!

1 night at Four Creeks Campground

We are experienced van campers who found Creekside to be everything we wanted (and needed). This is a lovely spot on a rambling creek. We had good access for our sprinter van and total privacy while immersed in nature. Shelley was a model host: provided great directions to their location; met us when we arrived; and offered assistance in multiple ways. The shower on site doesn’t look like much but was piping hot and met our needs on an early morning.

4 nights at Spring Lake Ranch

Camping here was a really fun experience. The land is beautiful and the lake is full of aggressive panfish, spotted bass, and some crappie too. The hosts have kayaks, paddleboats, and canoes to rent. The bathrooms and showers were clean and spacious. However, the campsites are not. If the campsites are relatively full, I would recommend finding a less booked weekend. The campsite tent platforms are ~10-30 yards away from eachother so if it is a booked weekend, it will be very cramped. Our trip was great and since it was at a time where camping is not as common, we had well enough space and quiet. The hiking paths are nice and circle the lake and property. The instructions from the host were spot on and very helpful and I was able to meet the owners and they are very nice. The winery next door (shares the same entrance road) has a sign near the entrance to Spring Lake and is highly reccomended as they make great wine and are also super friendly.

Situated a little over 4 miles off of Missouri Hwy 185 in the forest are 4 back-in Rv sites all with 50/30/20 Amp electric configured in a circle around a community camp fire. Nearby to State Parks and a bit of a drive to Mark Twain National Forest. This is a self service site. Bring your own water and an empty lavatory tank. Twin Eagle Lake Campground is located 14 miles away on Hwy 185 and provides a water faucet and dump station for longer stays at an additional expense. The property has a 4 foot chicken wire fence around it with barb wire on the top and a double gate at the entrance. All 4 sites can be rented together for group camping or special events if available. The gravel road can be rough and should keep your significant other away. Drive slowly in a 4x4 or Rear wheel drive vehicle and you should have no problems. The road leading to this property is not meant for front wheel drive vehicles. The gate has a combo lock on it. You will get the combo after booking your site. This piece of land just finished construction so it may be Summer of 2025 before I can get the grass to grow. The gate can be left open while a campsite is occupied if all campers agree, but please close the gate and lock it if all sites are empty when you check out. This is the wilderness, there are bugs, mosquitos, ticks, flys, bees, and things that bite and sting. Please prepare accordingly. By staying on my property, you are waiving any liability for me or any owner of the land.

Just across from our main entrance take the half-mile trail through Mark Twain National Forest and skip rocks on the Huzzah Creek! Ask us about access to our private gravel bar on the Huzzah. You will pass it, and the private parking, on Dillard Mill Rd on your drive into Pine Valley We may or may not be on the premise during individual rentals. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. Other things to note While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note it is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects. AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the General Store/Courtyard. We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road. Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well. Park right next to your glamper. Arrive anytime after 4pm, just give us an eta to know when to expect you. If your glamper is not ready upon your arrival, feel free to explore our farm, visit Dillard Mill or head down to the Huzzah while we make it ready for your stay. Self Check-In is always the norm for added privacy. We won't bother you except to wave or maybe say hello if you're out and about. Please feel free to approach us with questions, niceties, or needs.

TIRED OF NOISEY OVERCROWDED CAMP GROUNDS, give us a try! 1855 Campground is 45 acres of private property, dedicated to the natural Ozark experience. We border the Mark Twain National Forest, enjoy the outdoors at its best. Our space offers 7 large campsites to provide privacy & serenity. Site 1, Little Brushy Creek with parking. Site 2, Nancy’s Landing, smaller site close to the creek with parking. Site 3 Bills Hill, located high up in the woods. Sites 4 & 5 Walnut Grove, large flat grassy sites in a meadow with wildflowers. Site 6 Hidden Hollow, located in a private cove. Site 7 Roberts Mountain located high up in the woods. Sites 3-4-5-6-7 are remote wooded campsites. Accessible by foot only & upon request a free shuttle of your camping gear. MUST arrive before 8pm when booking these remote sites. Bordering the National Forest, so hiking is abundant & encouraged. Far from the city is ideal for star gazing & amazing photo ops. There is a year round freshwater spring flowing nearby. Enjoy fishing, swimming in the pond or babbling brook that runs alongside the property. All sites have fire pits, first bundle of wood provided, & BBQ grills and tables (except sites 3 & 7). Bring charcoal. Outhouses & outside shower are available. Parking lot provided, after check in & assistance to campsite. NO vehicles, guns or loud music allowed in campground “ Leave No Trace Principles apply, take out what you bring in. The office is open 9 to 9 daily through the season. It’s worth noting that the office/ house is “off grid”. Bill, the manager of the campground has been living full time off grid for over 8 yrs & loves to share his experiences & encourages others to ask questions on the subject during normal business hours.
