We live on-site and love to share the land with our guests. Cindy is a Master Gardener, and Jim is a spiritual life coach and energy worker—both are happy to offer sessions upon request. Feel free to wander through our garden and sample seasonal organic veggies, or check out the progress on our innovative underground greenhouse.
Friendly visits from our two dogs and horse are common—they love people! But if you'd prefer no animal interaction, just let us know in advance.

1855 Campground is 45 acres of private property, dedicated to the natural Ozark experience. We border the Mark Twain National Forest, enjoy the outdoors at its best.
Our space offers 7 large campsites to provide privacy & serenity.
Site 1, Little Brushy Creek with parking.
Site 2, Nancy’s Landing, smaller site close to the creek with parking.
Site 3 Bills Base Camp, located high up in the woods.
Sites 4 & 5 Walnut Grove, large flat grassy sites in a meadow with wildflowers.

We loved camping here and are already planning to go back! We had so much fun swimming in the creek, and we enjoyed listening to all the animals while we sat around the fire each night. It was so private and beautiful, and we had amazing views of the stars both nights we were there. This was the perfect getaway that we needed before the busy school year begins next week.

My family and I loved camping at Such n Such Farm’s campsite! We setup camp in Site 1. It is close to the gravel road, so there is road noise, but it’s minimal during bedtime hours. This campground is great for group camping too! We stayed Thursday - Sunday, and we had the place to ourselves until Saturday. The group that showed up was lovely, and looked like they were having a blast! I mean, how could you not when you have your own swimming oasis in nature! Totally plan on coming here again and bringing our friends! Autumn and her family are very sweet, and have a great farm store equipped with your camping needs.

Weekend Trip to Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors
I had so much fun at Hummingbird Hallow. It was perfect for minimalist camping but with everything you would need! I loved seeing the rescued animals and dipping my toes in the creek. The water was beautiful and clear and a welcome reprieve from the heat! The bed was super comfortable and the fans were a great addition.

Very nice camping site that our entire group loved! We tent camped right next to the pond with a group of 11, 4 of them being kids. There is a pavillion there with a bunch of hammock chair/sensor swings inside that everyone enjoyed.
We spent the entire day enjoying the property. We went down to the creek and hung out there most of the day. It is really cool down there with the bridge. It was in the 90s during our 2 days there, so the creek was perfect to cool off in. Some of us explored a bit going up and down the creek, which was very neat!
The close by bathrooms/showers/kitchen was awesome to have! The bathrooms only smelled like pine sawdust and the showers had plenty of pressure. Due to how hot it was when we were there most of us took cold showers, but there was hot water! We were able to recharge some fans/charging bocks/phones/lights up at the kitchen and there was a refrigerator there that we kept a few things in. There was also a coffee pot that we used both mornings.
Our campsite was nestled in the trees and we always had a nice breeze blowing through that made the heat tolerable with our nicely shaded location.
Elizabeth was a great host and was very responsive whenever we had questions. I would gladly revisit!

Now I have done a lot of camping in my life, and this is by far the best place I have ever stayed at. Beautiful view, awesome animals that you can all touch! Hot free showers, a full community kitchen with toaster, fridge, freezer and full stove/oven, and bbq?!!!! Wow. The awesome pond where you can swim, fish, and use both kayaks for free? What more do you need? We could even charge our phones at the kitchen, and fill our bottles with their well water. I am so impressed, I wish I didn’t live 22 hours away from that place, because I’d be back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for having my sons and I for a couple of days! We loved every minute of it. 🩷

We loved our stay at Fredrock! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the whole place is so beautiful! I can’t put into words how gorgeous the river and shut-ins are here! We spent days lounging and swimming in the river. It’s also close enough to other areas where we were able to do some other day trips to other shut-ins and St Louis!
It’s a large property with lots of cool places to stay. Everything is clean, all the Rv hook-ups worked perfectly and there was plenty of space in our site. We usually boondock and don’t do Rv parks because we like our space but we had enough space here! Other campers were quiet and respectful.
