Either Bonding by the wood-fired stove in our bunkhouse or cuddling up in the chairs outside, enjoying hot cocoa as it snows. Just looking off into the distance and seeing the sun setting with bursting colors over the rows and rows of berries. Experience a darker night sky than most are used to. The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away.
This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.)
We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.
We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).
Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

Clean, private, and spacious. The host was great and accommodating, the property and views were beautiful, and there was even some wildlife. Note that the ground is quite rocky when hammering in stakes. You do hear animals at night (coyotes, dogs, and a rooster) and planes fly overhead (I guess the site is near an airport), but I slept well with earplugs. I had good mobile service in some spots.

This farm is EXCEPTIONAL. Teresa accommodated everything we asked for and then some! Perfect for our kids, they loved it. The sounds were peaceful, the land is gorgeous! The trails were beautiful. You can tell they put so much work into it. From the flowerbeds to the handmade signs. It’s truly a place you’ll never want to leave. The homemade food was the best baked good I’ve had in my entire life. ✨10/10 RECOMMEND . ✨

The field had a tree line easily seen Fire pit and firewood ready. The animals are all friendly and they everyone is great to work with. There is water available but it is really a dry camping location. Self contained is best camping but the place and people are fantastic. We had no complaints. We strung up a hammock and enjoyed the fire, lightening bugs and stars!

Really enjoyed staying here! This is primitive camping in a horse pasture, but the views are great (surrounded by horses and lots of stars on clear nights) and we really enjoyed the amenities. There is a hot tub in a green house, opportunities to feed horses, etc. We found a couple fun swimming holes nearby and enjoyed checking out some nearby roadside attractions like Red Oak.

We stayed at Candida’s for 1 night. The horses and pasture area are beautiful. A table, 2 chairs and fire ring were provided. We got to help with grooming one of the horses during our stay! Candida is very nice and welcoming. My dog had a great time running through the field also.

If you like horses and dogs, this is a great place to camp! Most of the horses came over to say hello while we were setting up our tent, and my kids were fascinated. The animals are all very friendly and love getting pets. Sandra was great. My daughter has already asked when we can go back.

Convenient community space with sports equipment and microwave and coffee pot available. Owners are free and helpful.

Great spot for easy overnight or long term stay. Melissa was extremely gracious and communicative. I mentioned fishing in passing to her via text and she immediately responded with multiple gps pins of great spots on the river. Didn’t have to take the time to do that, but she did. All the stars.
