We've got all kinds of things to do for riders and non-riders alike! Start your day in Base Camp, the hub of activity at Howler. If you need a caffeine kick to get you started, we've got you covered with a specialty coffee drink, blended, or smoothie at Howler Coffee Shop! And, Chef Dustin is now serving breakfast with three delicious options to power you up for your day! Around noon and throughout the day, you can enjoy Chef's insanely-delicious food at the Growl Grill. Stop in the Welcome Center for bike passes, Howler merch, and bike gear. Are you shredding with us and need a new tube or tire change? We have got you taken care of in Howler Bike Co. next to the Welcome Center. We have beer and wine available at the Growl Grill, and you’re welcome to take your purchases to your tent to enjoy! New in Spring 2023, is our Skills Park and our Children's Play Area-complete with a mini pump track for Stryders or small bikes--and a beautiful cedar swing set! We also have a mile round trip Hiking Trail through the woods where you can see glimpses of riders shredding the mountain trails. Feel like a break at the top of the hike? We've got a picnic table so you can enjoy the scenery and eat some mouth-watering food from the Growl Grill! We also have our all-new bathrooms and showers, complete with shampoo/body wash and hair dryers. And you can keep all your necessary items near you while you ride with our all-new lockers. Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the clubs you may be used to. Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas a bus, container and camper available as lodging options. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and outdoor showers. We have a hot tub guests can use along with hiking trails and a propane grill. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff! We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

This beautiful RV park and cabin resort on the edge of the Ozarks is the perfect getaway from the stress of daily life. With pull-thru full-hookup RV sites, several cabins, a pond for fishing, and lots of room to roam, you won't want to leave. I enjoyed camping at Howler Bike Park. Jennifer is one of best hosts ever. The coffee is great and food is outstanding. I recommend the chilli burger. There is a little road noise from the highway, but the traffic is pretty sparce at night. I will be staying here again.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain
We were able to roll up just a bit before sunset and it was perfect! This was our first clothing optional Hipcamp and talk about freeing! Not only was that a fun discovery, the property was outstanding. Clean and nice touches everywhere from A-frame wash/shower room, the hot tub, pool, fire pit, BBQ, wash tub for dishes, etc. James and Amy greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was made ready for us the next morning for the tiny window of sun we got (thanks James!) you can really see the pride and care for the land and the experience they provide to campers. We didn’t get to meet any other campers this time however this stop will remain at or near the top of our camping experience list for quite some time - highly recommend. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Sunset Mountain and, while we have never even considered a nudist lifestyle, we figured so many positive reviews couldn’t be wrong. We are so glad we gave it a shot! Whether or not you practice a nudist lifestyle yourself (as long as you are open to others around you being in the buff!), you should certainly give this a try! James maintains his property so well and you can tell he loves the land. The facilities were immaculate! From the bathroom and outdoor showers to the pool and hot tub, we were incredibly impressed at how clean everything was. We went into the weekend figuring it would be something fun to say we did once, but by the end of the weekend, agreed we will definitely return! Sunset views were amazing and we took the opportunity to snap some fun pics too 😆 Thanks James for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Whether you are glamping or tent camping Howler has what you need. Us and many of our close friends stay at Howler frequently. It's hard to beat the array of accommodations, including the shower house and various other amenities, not to mention the unparalleled hospitality at this price. It's also some of the best shuttle service downhill riding in the Midwest and one of our favorite places to spend time with our mountain biking family and friends! Highly recommend! Howler gets all of the stars!

If you are looking for a peaceful, freeing escape, this is the place for you. The amenities provided are nice and well cared for. There was only a small handful of guests during our stay, so nothing is crowded. The campsites are a bit close together, but since we came late on a Saturday and stayed until Monday, it was fine for us. James is a very nice guy and communicates well. We enjoyed the location, scenery and privacy.
