Sometimes the best getaway is the simplest one.
Welcome to The Quiet Acre, a small family-owned campground nestled on 4.5 peaceful acres just outside Columbia, Missouri. Our goal is simple: to create a place where you can slow down, unplug, and enjoy nature at its own pace.
Our property is surrounded by mature woods, creating a peaceful backdrop for your stay. Spend your day relaxing at your campsite, taking a stroll along our short walking paths, watching for deer that often visit the back of the property, or simply enjoying a good book beneath the trees.
As evening settles in, gather around the campfire and listen as the frogs around our little pond begin their nightly chorus. It's one of our favorite parts of living here, and the inspiration behind our first campsite—Frog Hollow.
You'll also meet our friendly chickens, enjoy wide-open skies, and experience a slower pace that's becoming harder to find.
Whether you're pitching a tent for the weekend, traveling with a small camper, or simply looking for a quiet place to recharge, we hope you'll feel welcome here.

Our Campsites
Each campsite at The Quiet Acre is inspired by the natural features of the property.
Our first campsite, Frog Hollow, celebrates the pond and its unforgettable evening soundtrack. As The Quiet Acre grows, we'll continue creating unique campsites that reflect the character and beauty of this little corner of Missouri.
We aren't trying to be the biggest campground. We're simply creating the kind of place we'd want to visit ourselves—a quiet place where nature is the entertainment, campfires are encouraged, and the loudest neighbors are usually the frogs.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Quiet Acre.
