Camping near Lake Viking

·

A giant realistic replica of a viking ship greets visitors heading to Lake Viking and has done so for over 50 years. This community is located along the shores of a 600-acre man-made lake ringed by gently rolling hills. Don’t show up without planning ahead, as this lake is for members only. If you can’t hit the waters, explore the surrounding region. Nearby, the Grand River offers scenery and recreation. Lake Viking camping options are plentiful. Tent and RV campsites nestled in the open grasslands offer open views of brilliant sunsets. You may find cabins and glamping getaways, as well. Two state parks also offer public campgrounds and natural retreats, including Crowder State Park and Wallace State Park. For more camping options, look west to Kansas City. Missouri’s largest city is notable for its many museums, energetic (and successful) sports teams, and vibrant entertainment districts.
