I inherited this land from my uncles who spent their whole life’s purpose to live and maintain the land. It has given me such peace and a great escape that I think everyone deserves to touch a piece of its soul to help you in your soul searching or unplugging from life to clear your mind to tackle the world!
I’ve grown up seeing the land change, watching how nature can change streams and hills and love seeing how years and years of leaving it alone can create such a beautiful canvas all on its own.
One of my uncles favorite things to do was to look for arrowheads and if you are familiar with ancient Indian practices, you can find many characteristics in these woods.

My dogs and I had a great time staying at Wits end! We weren't there long, justba quick overnight. Jennifer was quick to reply and helpful. The only problem is, after leaving I started noticing tons of tiny ticks crawling on me and had to stop and spend about an hour trying to get rid of them all. I had read another review that mentioned them so I had even sprayed some natural repellent but they apparently are quite bad around there. Just be prepared. The peace and quiet, along with sunrise were fantastic!

This place was perfect for me to relax and my dog to run around and smell everything! There was a great view of the sunset and we were serenaded by so many birds, frogs, and even an owl near our camp at night. I normally camp in backcountry areas with many rocks and roots so the grass felt like luxury to sleep on. Love how close this is to KC, perfect for a quick getaway!

Driving through Midwest and needed a place to stay with electric & water… came across Walnut Creek Winery on Hipcamp. Quiet spot away from the highway but not too far off with a peaceful site next to a creek.
We were coming in a bit late but got in before the kitchen closed so we were able to get a delicious supreme pizza with wine flights while enjoying a great cover band. Raymond and his staff at the winery were great! We slept well and were invited to Sunday brunch but had to hit the road.
Definitely recommend a stop here.

Enjoyed our stay! Easy to find, huge meadow to choose campsite. There is a fire ring to use. Parts of the wooded areas were heavy with ticks, be careful! Small pond to try fishing. Quiet area.
