We enjoyed our stay so much! This is a lovely, quiet spot. Easy to find, but no highway noise. Check in was straightforward with great communication from the hosts. You can see the other sites, but they are comfortably separated. Beautiful sunset view from under the giant old oak tree shading our little camper. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to stay and would definitely recommend.

I had a great time with my family at Oak Crest. Having electricity and water hook ups was great! If you are at site 1 or 2 you may need to bring a water splitter to share with the other, however, site 3 has its own water. The property is quiet with lots of space to hang out outside the site! Glenwood is also only a few minutes away for anything you may need!

Very peaceful. I was the only camper there at the time. There is water and electric close to the camper. One plus was my phone service, tmobile, was spotty out there but the site had wifi available so I could use wifi calling.

Nice and Level spot. There is water and Electric. The water looks to be shared with Pole B site, which didn't effect us due to also having family on that space. A little of a jog to the shower/restrooms. We enjoyed our stay.

What a great place to unplug from electronics. The animals were so cute and peaceful. Travis was very accommodating and answered any questions we had. Many acres to roam, weather was amazing as was our site that we had. Many to choose from. Goats were so funny and donkeys were cute and sweet, we wanted to take one home. My one pup thought she was a baby goat I think, she fit right in their pen and hung out several times. Brought home some farm fresh eggs and hamburger for a very inexpensive price. Thank you Travis! Nestled in a historically rich area, this campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The region was once the disputed territory of the Chippewa and Sioux tribes, where raiding parties created a challenging environment for early settlers. The first white explorer to traverse the future Benson area was Gideon S. Pond, an Indian missionary who sought to understand the local tribes' customs while accompanying a hunting party along the Chippewa River. It wasn't until after the Great Sioux Uprising that western Minnesota became a safe haven for white settlers. Ole Corneiliusen, a Norwegian immigrant, is believed to be the first permanent resident of the Benson area, arriving in 1866. By this time, the railroad had extended from Minneapolis to Delano, paving the way for increased settlement in western Minnesota. The early development of Benson and Swift County was closely tied to the railroad's expansion. In 1869, A.W. Lathrop and W.V. Lathrop opened the first general store in anticipation of the railroad's arrival. By 1870, the railroad had reached a designated trading center named "Benson," honoring a notable politician from Anoka. This rich history adds a unique charm to
