This is a rustic, working family farm with some real charm: free-roaming goats, peaceful views, and a very hands-off, respectful host. I appreciated the privacy and the trail to the marsh overlook, which had great birding potential.
That said, this isn’t a polished campground. Signage and site layout were minimal, and RVers with larger rigs should know space is tight and not all areas are level or shaded. The originally designated spot was in a high-traffic farm work zone, but I was able to find a quieter area on my own.
The property has a lot of character, but infrastructure is informal, and trails can be muddy or overgrown after rain. Come prepared for mosquitoes, sun exposure, and a very “Minnesota rural” experience. Great for campers who are flexible and self-sufficient!

What a great place to unplug from electronics. The animals were so cute and peaceful. Travis was very accommodating and answered any questions we had. Many acres to roam, weather was amazing as was our site that we had. Many to choose from. Goats were so funny and donkeys were cute and sweet, we wanted to take one home. My one pup thought she was a baby goat I think, she fit right in their pen and hung out several times. Brought home some farm fresh eggs and hamburger for a very inexpensive price. Thank you Travis! We enjoyed our relaxing weekend on your farm.

Perfect weekend getaway for us and our 3-year-old. Beautiful view from our campsite, and our daughter was thoroughly entertained the entire weekend visiting the cow and two donkeys! Travis was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely keep this place in mind for return visits!

I loved spending a night at the Pearson's Century Farm. Travis is the great grandson of the pioneer who originally farmed this land in the 1800s and the farm has been in his family for the entire time. They had 19 baby goats (kids) a couple of donkeys, and even a wooly pig.
There are a bunch of potential RV parking spots and Travis lets you sit pretty much anywhere you'd like. He is willing to run you an electrical cord if you need electrical hookup.
I spent a couple of hours chatting with Travis and he is full of great information about the region and the joys and sorrows of running a family farm in rural Minnesota.

We really enjoyed staying at Oak Ridge Ranch. Travis, the host, was very personable and flexible, and he showed us around the first day. There are goats, donkeys, chickens, and a cow on their farm. We loved getting fresh farm eggs for breakfast, too!
It's close to multiple lakes, small towns, and a drive-in movie theater, so we had plenty to do for the weekend.

I was headed to Litchfield to go to the drive-in movie theater. Living over an hour away, and with the late movie start times, it only made sense for me to find somewhere close to stay the night. This location was perfect. Travis was very kind, met me upon my arrival and ensured I had all of the information I needed for my stay. I had to leave quite promptly in the morning, so I did not have time to explore the farm; but it looked like there was quite a bit to see!

This place is adorable. They have 2 donkeys, a wooly pig, chickens, a cow, and many goats. The baby goats “escape” daily from the fence and graze freely around the farm. Frequently they get the zoomies and dash back into the pen with their moms. The owner Travis is so personable and friendly. It is a terrific place for kids. Travis will hold the baby goats and let the kids pet them. He’s very knowledgeable about the farm and animals and area. It gives a warm and cozy feeling. For alternate entertainment from “goat TV” there is a drive in movie theater about 10 minutes away. A novelty these days. I highly recommend this place. We had so much fun!

We had a perfect spot on the hill next to the donkey. Many trees and horseshoe there to play. Travis and his wife are great hosts. Loved buying fresh farm eggs. The also had a 2 acre field for our pups to run off leash. Shower was nice.

Owners are friendly and accommodating. We forgot our adapter for our camper’s electrical cord and Travis was happy to lend one to use for our visit. Donkeys and goats are fond of peppermints… plenty of animals to spoil. Really relaxing/chill vibe. Plan to return again :)

Travis and Connie were excellent hosts. They accommodated our every need. We visited on memorial Day weekend, and there were lots of people but the whole scene was serene and congenial. The highlight was the animals on the farm. Two friendly donkeys, a whole bunch of baby goats, friendly cats, Willie pig, and more. This is a great destination for getaway near the cities.

We absolutely love this place. So quiet and peaceful, amazing views, and animals (both wildlife and domestic) all around. I’m in love with the goats! Super friendly hosts, and our RV spot has everything we need. We love being in the country, yet 5 minutes from the lake and 10 minutes to town. Thoroughly enjoy being here during fair and festival season. So many things to do within a short drive. Wouldn’t change a thing.

We loved our campsite - very private, some shade, some sun. We could watch the goats playing across the road - too cute. Travis and Connie are amazing hosts - so friendly and fun! Very knowledgeable about the history of their farm and the surrounding area. Nice to have use of the bathroom in the house. Just a great experience - we loved it!

Travis welcomed us at the beginning and there were lots of quirky touches that made it really fun for the 1 and 3 year old! We did have trouble finding a fire ring at first and getting ahold of Travis when we needed a lighter (our fault for forgetting one). Also, the woman at the property was a little rude when I accidentally knocked on the wrong door to use the bathroom. It's fun for kids with all the animals, but not necessarily "kid friendly" as there were alot of rusty hazards around the property that we were nervous about the kids tripping or stepping on. For example, my son tripped on a pitchfork that was sitting out.
We appreciated the fresh eggs they brought us in the morning, as well as the free firewood! Overall, it was a fun experience with a few exceptions given we had toddlers with us.

Travis’ farm is very pretty. Lots of old and makeshift structures, plus baby goats and stray cats. He’s was great host and was very flexible on where we camped, letting us find our own spot behind one of the barns for a bit more privacy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were welcoming, accommodating, and very easy going. They let us walk practically wherever we wanted to go. We spent our days relaxing, feeding Harry (the friendliest goat), chasing around baby goats to pick them up and cuddle them, and enjoying the quiet peaceful evenings under the stars!
I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect as this was our first HipCamp, and there wasn’t a ton of info online. So here is some info that you might find useful.
• the bathroom is located in the basement of the hosts’ house. There is a private entrance you go through. The host said he rents a port-a-potty to serve as an additional bathroom when there are a larger amount of people staying there.
• we found it very quiet even though there were about 4 other groups staying there at the same time as us. We were spread out, but still all fairly close to the bathroom and the animals.
• the bugs during the day we not very noticeable. At night, they came out more so but we were fine with bug spray and citronella.
• the firewood is provided for free which was such an unexpected perk!
• there seemed to be a picnic table and fire ring available to each site. The host let us pick our favorite spot to set up camp.
• as of late May 2023, there was 1 calf (newest member), at least 5 cats (2 were very friendly), 1 hog, 1 pregnant donkey (friendly), chickens (unseen to us) and a bunch of baby and adult goats (most on the shyer side).

Camping at travis's was really good. Family friend. Amazing views of the sunset. The night we stayed a goat had two kids they were adorable. Our daughter enjoyed playing with the animals and running around the farm.
