The 80-acre property is carved out of a Norway pine plantation. Sites are approximately 10,000 square ft. in size with about 50 ft. of trees between each site for semi-privacy. We have tried to maintain a balance of nature while making the sites as RV friendly as possible. Although the property is located in the country, it is located along a state highway for easy access and there are three towns and many amenities and recreational venues within 15 minutes drive. Currently no hook-ups, but there is a yard hydrant and dump station. There are also portable restrooms on site.

For RV enthusiasts, we offer 2 spacious spots complete with 20, 30, and 50-amp electric hookups, which are shared, (An RV extension cord is recommended) a movable fire pit, ensuring a comfortable stay amid the wilderness. Situated between the charming towns of Cohasset and Deer River, and just minutes from the bustling hub of Grand Rapids, our private property campground offers easy access to a wealth of outdoor adventures. Explore world-class fishing lakes, traverse ATV trails, or embark on scenic hikes through lush forests—there's something for every outdoor enthusiast to enjoy. Fishermen and women are welcome to park here as their base camp; RV style fish houses are welcome. Firewood will be provided, located in the small wood crib in parking area, mostly pine, birch and popular. *FYI, this private property has a cabin and outbuildings on it, and the owner may be there, as well as other campers from Hip Camp, while you stay. Weekend Trip to RV There Yet Campground

Nice and peaceful... big campsites. Primative sites.. does have a porta potty, dump station, portable water, picnic table, fire ring and firewood available. Sites are beautiful among the pines. Allen met us there and escorted us to our site. Very great communication! Would highly recommend. We stayed on site 104. Thanks Allen for providing a great place to camp.

What a great place to just get lost in the woods! Im new to Scamp camping and Allen was so patient with me and my son. He took time to make sure we had everything we needed and checked on us while there a couple of times. Very helpful and kind. Great wooded area. Nice solar lit portal potties, picnic bench, tons of firewood and lots of quiet! Definitely stop if going by or want to get away. Level areas and big paths to drive down to the spots. Water, and dump if you want. Perfect. Thank you Allen! 😃

Perfect for boondocking! There is water at the rv dump as well as clean portables dotted throughout the acreage. Importantly, there is plenty of space for a relatively private stay. We were in site 101 and could hear the road quite clearly but didn’t mind, you may want to choose a deeper site. The tree plantation was perfect for a hammock! Thank you Allen and we look forward to another stay.

This is a place that is perfect for families. We enjoyed reading quietly in our RV site and listening to the kids pal around and have the time of their lives. The manager was very friendly and really accommodating when we had to stay part of a day longer because our camper awning got stuck in the open position. The facilities including bathrooms are clean and well kept. And it's free to use the kayaks and canoe. They also have fishing boats for rent.
