Great site, very private, I extended my stay an extra night.
This was a wonderful and secluded location, just what I was looking for!
This site is AWESOME…but be prepared to do serious battle with deer/horse flies. (Mid June)
Host was helpful and responsive to messages & questions.
My brother and I impulsively booked the site after the remote site at Itasca State Park was 10 ft from another site.
We had a great time we appreciated the free firewood greatly

The Cubby is an excellent property for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is truly tucked away in the woods — no traffic, no noise, just nature.
One important tip: read the host's directions carefully before heading out. We made the mistake of trusting Google Maps, which took us north of the property, so save yourself the detour!
The host was attentive and checked in on our arrival day to make sure we had settled in, which was a lovely touch. The site itself is well-equipped — there's a sandy area perfect for kids to play in, cut firewood ready to go for the fire ring, and a picnic table for enjoying meals outdoors. We were also pleasantly surprised by how few bugs there were during our stay.
Thank you to the host for sharing this wonderful property. If you're looking to truly unplug and get away from it all, we highly recommend The Cubby!
