This property is the perfect location to stop and relax while you are traveling on the White Pine Trail. We have cabins and campsites with water and electricity. It is centrally located between Grand Rapids and Cadillac. We offer river access, kayaking, bathrooms, showers, and a dump station. This is an old church camp with 14 different buildings. There is a trail that goes down to the river. My goal is to restore all of the buildings to what they once were. I encourage you to come and investigate before it's all done. I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store for me!

Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, MI. Voted one of the best places to visit in '22 and '23. Our property is at the end of a private road and has been in the family for decades. We fondly refer to it as One Grand Place and we are excited to be sharing it with you.

There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like? It is your very own exclusive home away from home.
Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and surrounded by natural wetlands. So, we are a perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy fresh air and picture perfect sunsets.
Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few things to be enjoyed on the water. There's a public boat launch just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou Park has a kayak specific boat launch. Or, you can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore.
Hiking, biking and wildlife/bird/eagle watching are also options. Lake Michigan beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away.
Holland is about 30 minutes south. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 25 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is 40 minutes North in Muskegon. Grand Rapids is 40 minutes to the East. There are also many wineries, distilleries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan as well as "you pick" blueberries and many festivals in the summer. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

Heavily wooded forest with pine, maple, oak and birch. Undeveloped and quiet. The property is home to numerous bird species, deer, wild turkeys and squirrels. Occasional howls from distant coyotes and infrequent raccoons.
The campsites are located on a hill dominated by tall pines overlooking the east facing property. Secluded, but only a 700 feet from the main residence. Only 1 1/2 miles P.J Hoffmaster's State Park and a 10 minutes ride to Grand Haven State Park/Lake Michigan.
Campsites are rustic but we provide camp toilets, a picnic table and a waste container. Fresh water is available at the barn. We also provide a shelter with picnic tables and a charcoal park grille. A large community fire pit is available with wood provided for a small cost by the hosts.
When arriving please drive to the end of the driveway towards the last house. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn.
All sites are a short walk from the parking area (500ft) and carts are provided for your use. If needed, we can also provide transportation using our UTV. Tent sites are not accessible by car.

Cell service may be spotty, Xfinity Mobile, utilizing Verizon towers, typically provides us with 2 bars, sufficient for basic online tasks such as checking emails and social media.
We provide sheets and towels for your convenience. The cabin boasts a fully equipped kitchen and a clothes washer (no dryer), with a clothesline available for drying. Enjoy outdoor cooking using the grill on the deck, or over the fire pit. There is also a propane fire pit on the deck and a second wood fire pit by the river.
Our cabin is our cherished retreat, which we occasionally open up to guests. As it is not operated as a for-profit rental, we kindly ask that you treat our slice of heaven with the same care and respect as we do.

Choices abound on this secluded, approximately 14-acre property, which hosts only one campsite. Float on the pond, fish in the middle branch of the Pere Marquette River, hike the trails on the property, or roam in the adjoining 600-acre tract of national forest—it's all up to you. Whatever you decide, you won't run out of outdoor recreational opportunities at our very private wilderness oasis.
Upon arrival, you'll receive an access code to unlock the gate, which protects a long driveway leading into the heart of the campsite. A mowed area, perfect for pitching your tent, overlooks private Beaver Lake and is also the location of a fire ring, a picnic table, and an electrical outlet.
Beaver Lake is an approximately six-acre body of water that we consider more of a pond. While we find the lake too swampy, shallow, and pond-like for swimming, we enjoy floating on it in rafts. Kayaks, canoes, or small fishing boats are also appropriate. A steep hill leads down to the shore, so watercraft must be small enough to carry by hand. Spring-fed holes on the west side of the lake have yielded small bass.
A path to the north leads to the middle branch of the renowned Pere Marquette River. Spring-fed, the river stays cold year-round. Anglers should be sure to have proper licensing before fishing. Wading in the river is refreshing but must be undertaken with caution due to the rapid current and deep holes.
The majority of the property is heavily wooded, and wildlife abounds. The land offers several short hiking trails marked with blazes: a trail around the lake, a path to the river, and a trail bordering the Manistee National Forest. Intrepid campers can meander into the national forest and explore the 600 acres of adjoining land—but be careful, there are no marked trails!
There are no bathroom or shower facilities on site, so campers must plan to bring their own camping toilet. If you'll be there for several days or longer and are interested in a paid port-a-potty, we can arrange to have one delivered.
There is absolutely no ATV riding on the property, and there are no ATV trails nearby. Please find a different area to camp if you plan to bring ATVs or side-by-sides.

Lake access ( Muskegon River, Rogers Pond) is available via adjoining property, there is a dock at adjoining property to tie up to, if you want to put in boat at public access 1 mile away. ATV access to water if you have one.
Bagged trash is removed by me, extra bags in can bottom. Please don’t leave in can. Pull it out when stay is complete

We have an 80 acre homestead on a dirt road with clear, flat places to park an RV or vehicle and woods for camping or hiking. You can camp or park in several places around the property and have complete privacy from the house. You’ll need to bring your own drinking water and there are no restrooms available. There is an RV dump station 5 miles north at McCormicks gas station. Feel free to ask questions. We look forward to sharing our beautiful space with you.
We are two “young” folks with a budding farm and homestead. We have horses, cows, free range chickens, and a load of barn cats around a 100+ year old barn. You are welcome to respectfully interact with the animals, but be careful of the electric fence!
Our rural setting is quiet and peaceful. There is often a herd of deer in the fields at dusk. Yet, we are only ~15 minutes from Lake Michigan and ~30 minutes from Grand Haven or Grand Rapids. The Musketawa Trail is 4 miles directly north.

The downstairs also houses a smart TV, and a Blu-ray/DVD player with assorted movies. High speed internet access is also available. Cell service may be spotty, Xfinity Mobile, utilizing Verizon towers, typically provides us with 2 bars, sufficient for basic online tasks such as checking emails and social media.
We provide sheets and towels for your convenience. The cabin boasts a fully equipped kitchen and a clothes washer (no dryer), with a clothesline available for drying. Enjoy outdoor cooking using the grill on the deck, or over the fire pit. There is also a propane fire pit on the deck and a second wood fire pit by the river.
Our cabin is our cherished retreat, which we occasionally open up to guests. As it is not operated as a for-profit rental, we kindly ask that you treat our slice of heaven with the same care and respect as we do.

Choices abound on this secluded, approximately 14-acre property, which hosts only one campsite. Float on the pond, fish in the middle branch of the Pere Marquette River, hike the trails on the property, or roam in the adjoining 600-acre tract of national forest—it's all up to you. Whatever you decide, you won't run out of outdoor recreational opportunities at our very private wilderness oasis.
Upon arrival, you'll receive an access code to unlock the gate, which protects a long driveway leading into the heart of the campsite. A mowed area, perfect for pitching your tent, overlooks private Beaver Lake and is also the location of a fire ring, a picnic table, and an electrical outlet.
Beaver Lake is an approximately six-acre body of water that we consider more of a pond. While we find the lake too swampy, shallow, and pond-like for swimming, we enjoy floating on it in rafts. Kayaks, canoes, or small fishing boats are also appropriate. A steep hill leads down to the shore, so watercraft must be small enough to carry by hand. Spring-fed holes on the west side of the lake have yielded small bass.
A path to the north leads to the middle branch of the renowned Pere Marquette River. Spring-fed, the river stays cold year-round. Anglers should be sure to have proper licensing before fishing. Wading in the river is refreshing but must be undertaken with caution due to the rapid current and deep holes.
The majority of the property is heavily wooded, and wildlife abounds. The land offers several short hiking trails marked with blazes: a trail around the lake, a path to the river, and a trail bordering the Manistee National Forest. Intrepid campers can meander into the national forest and explore the 600 acres of adjoining land—but be careful, there are no marked trails!
There are no bathroom or shower facilities on site, so campers must plan to bring their own camping toilet. If you'll be there for several days or longer and are interested in a paid port-a-potty, we can arrange to have one delivered.
There is absolutely no ATV riding on the property, and there are no ATV trails nearby. Please find a different area to camp if you plan to bring ATVs or side-by-sides.

Weekend Trip to Billy’s Place in the Woods
I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, even checking in during my stay to make sure everything was comfortable. The cabin is very clean, spacious, and well-equipped—with a fire pit, picnic table, three beds, and an outhouse. Despite the temperature dropping to 29°F one night, I stayed warm and comfortable in the dry cabin without needing the propane heater provided.
I traveled with two small dogs and felt completely safe. Cooking on-site and having a fire was easy—the host even provided wood, flashlights, complimentary candy, a broom, and a vacuum. The solar panels provided good lighting, and communication was prompt and helpful. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-prepared getaway.

It was a pleasure staying at Brookhollow! The site was very private, and the sound of the running water with river view was so relaxing. Everything was well equipped. The stairs from the parking spot down to the river's edge campsite were a bit of a work out, but very manageable. It also gave a nice separation of privacy from the main property to the campsite.

Grays River Camp was awesome. Angie was a super host and very pleasant to talk with. Attentive to needs and making sure campers are happy. She has done a lot with the campground for improvements, making sure there is a little bit for everyone to have fun outdoors or indoors in the case of bad weather. It was very quiet, clean and peaceful camped along the river. Plenty of room to walk dogs if you have them. We floated the Muskegon during our stay. Angie dropped us off at a riverside park in Big Rapids and we paddled and fished our way back to camp. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are camping there again the following weekend. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking to get away from the congested state campgrounds and larger RV resorts. Great for RV’s and Tents. There is a dump station for RV’s which was a blessing. Thanks Angie, we look forward to coming back.

We had the most wonderful weekend getaway here. It was extra special for us, because we have a reactive dog who can't join us at public campsites, or shared sites. This was his first time camping and it was perfect.

We enjoyed the bathhouse showers and restrooms and cute snack shop with ping pong, board games, and necessities just in case you forgot something. We also loved having wifi. The kids never got bored because there were so many activities such as a cool zip line, small playscape, basketball hoop, kayaking, and so much more. The icing on the cake was how nice and helpful Angie was. The property is the perfect place to enjoy camping.
