This is a half an acre wooded lot in a residential neighborhood on a 25 mph paved road. It is a back in, full hook-up camping spot that is large enough to accommodate rigs big and small. 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical hook-up available along with potable water and septic. This lot is large enough to accommodate a large camper/motor home and tow vehicle. Vehicles will need to be self contained as there is no bathroom of any kind on the site. A picnic table and a fire ring are also on-site. Monocle Lake boat launch is 2 miles away. Monocle Lake is an inland 146 acre lake that is great for fishing and water sports. Foot traffic public access to Monocle is a 4 minute walk away. This spot is also a 5 min. Walk away from public access to the beaches of Lake Superior. Walk the miles of beach to your hearts content. Camp #14 at Twelvemile. I made this solo trip to Pictured Rocks in early July of 2015. Upon arrival, biting flies attacked and I was greeted with a downpour. It's easy to see these things as just part of the adventure when your surroundings are this beautiful!

First time using Hipcamp, and definitely not the last, thanks to Cory! Site 1 doesn’t have many photos, but it’s actually way better than we thought. it’s really spacious and the levitating tent was really nice. We also got half a dozen fresh farm eggs which was a nice touch to the experience. I’ll definitely come back to this spot whenever I’m in the UP.

Owner was easy to reach. Site is nice and quiet. Neighbors are close but we never heard or saw them. Easily backed our 40 ft class A into site with enough space for two cars and our dolly. Had a nice campfire with wood that was provided. Beautiful location. Could even hear the waves of Lake Superior on a choppy evening.

Cory was great! Welcoming and accommodating. Tent site was better than the pictures and gave a great deal peace and quiet only nature can offer. Also great location as it’s right near a gas station and breakfast spot! Cory was also very understanding for a slight, self-imposed hiccup which was managed in only a couple messages back and forth. Would definitely stay here again if I end up in the same area again.

Amazing location, beautiful property and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Close to most major sight seeing areas and lots of things to do to keep you busy. Hosts were very accommodating and hospitable providing anything extra we might’ve needed plus more. Highly recommend staying here if you’re up in the area and we will definitely be back!

Great location to camp with full hook up. Walking distance to both a beautiful small lake and a beautiful Lake Superior beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The scenic byway is beautiful to drive and offers many places to stop and enjoy Superior. The neighbors on one side are a little close, but it was no problem at all. We hope to be back because we love this area so much.

2nd time here. Nice and flat grass area. Real toilet and shower! Quiet, hosts were great. Highly recommend. Didn't go down to lake, but saw dock area 1st time. Convenient to Manistique.
