In the midst of the Manistee National Forest, a mile to a seasonal beach and picnic area on BIG BLUE LAKE with the WHITE RIVER, and five SUMMER CAMPS close by, THREE SITES are available sized to accommodate tent camping, Travel Trailer (EXCEPT 5th Wheels), and Class B and C RV"s. Each site is easily accessible, open and sunny for trailers and RV's with shaded areas for tenting. You will be in the woods adjacent to a open area working Hops Farm. Each site has a fixed in place fire-ring with cooking grate and 8-foot picnic table. Parking area, Food Truck, Biergarten and Farm Market are walk-able to on the property. Portable Toilet serviced weekly and potable water is central to the sites. Trash containers with trash bags are at each site. NO HOOK-UPS ARE AVAILABLE. Expect NO or LIMITED cellular service. One Travel Trailer or up to Three Tents accommodated per site. Sites are flat with moss/grass on sand terrain. One vehicle allowed on each site, parking lot for additional vehicles is available. The property is 30 acres but we are only sharing the back 5 acres for campsites. The property is situated against the Manistee national forest, so there is plenty of wildlife to see. The campsites are currently setup for boondocking, eventually that will be upgraded as time goes on. We do offer farm fresh eggs upon request. If the season is right their could be fresh garden vegetables available as well. Fire pits are available but please know that burn restrictions will be strictly enforced since the property butts up against the national forest. Pets are welcomed but please cleanup after them and never let them just run free without supervision. The evening sky is always a picturesque site and the star gazing is phenomenal. Things to do off the farm: There are dirt bike and ORV trails for miles that run aside the property. The trails can take you to white river for fishing, kayaking, boating, or swimming. The trails can also be nice for a walk, hike, biking, or horseback riding. Bird watchers, the variety of birds that can be found just on the farm alone is quite large. There is an 18 hole disc golf course just 7 minutes away that can challenge even the most skilled and still be fun for the beginner. Fun on the water: Access to so many different lakes is just minutes away. The property is about 25 mins from Lake Michigan, 15 mins from Twin Lake (all sport inland lake), 8 minutes from Blue Lake, and 15 mins from Fremont Lake. Muskegon river is also a short distance from the property for a planned summer tubing trip. There is a river side shop that offers tubes for renting if you don't have any of your own. Shopping nearby: Whispering Pines, Amish store is 8 mins away from the property. They offer a host of many different groceries and a deli. Bigger box stores are a 20 minute drive into Fremont. Attractions: Fremont is home to Gerber foods (baby food production) and they hold the Gerber festival every year in mid July. If you are looking for some fun at a theme park, Michigan Adventures is just 20 minutes away from the property. They have rollar coasters and a water park for all ages.

We love Blue Lake Biergarten! Our family joined two other families for a fall camping weekend, and had a lovely time. The camping areas are so spacious we all had plenty of room. The grates on the fire pits were perfect for cooking our meals, and the kids had a blast playing capture the flag and collecting dead sticks for campfires. Our weekend lined up with a tasting event from Long Road Distilling, which was a fun treat when we visited the biergarten. We're already looking forward to the next time we go!

We loved staying here! Sites are private and spacious. Porta potties are clean. Water available and drinkable. Ice and firewood available onsite. Biergarten and food truck were both great. Staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had good recommendations for the area. Would definitely stay here again!

What a fun place to camp! The included bundle of wood on my first night was a lovely surprise, and the little touches like wildflowers, the lighted port-o-let and a bucket of water for extinguishing the campfire were appreciated. This is all before we get to the quaint Biergarten with a food truck, a small assortment of mixed drinks and beers from local breweries who use hops grown on the farm. I hiked Owasippe Scout Reservation’s trails, which were nearby, and visited Lake Michigan. Great visit!

The main road in (12 Mile Road) was way more rugged than I had expected. That being said, the site was very remote and extremely peaceful. You can probably make it in (as others suggested, come in from the west off Hemlock) with 2WD, but I was glad I had 4WD for peace of mind. Also, the site it beautiful! The electric hookup was super convenient. The shower appeared to be hooked directly to the well water line. However, there was a heater there ready to be installed. We used my solar shower which was decently warm. There are plenty of trails on site and my dog had a blast being off leash the entire week. We did venture into Hungerford for a much longer hike. There was a super nice couple there our first night, but we had the place to ourselves the rest of the week. What a gem of a site. Would love to have a group camp there in the future.

The space was fantastic and having the Biergarten nearby was an added bonus. The space was well kept and had a dedicated trash can for each site. A lot of care went into the area with premium fire pits with grill grates, upgraded portable bathroom, and even a native plant garden on the path to the Biergarten (which also had a great selection and roaring campfire). Staff were the pinnacle of hospitality and a highlight of our weekend! We will absolutely be visiting again!!

The sites were private, level, and well maintained. The beer garden had good food and a great selection of beer. Overall the experience was like a very well executed back yard cookout. I would highly recommend especially if you want to take advantage of the food truck and beer garden.

I loved staying here! The Biergarten is beautiful, and the land out back even more so. Tent camping was easy, and I appreciated the plentiful firewood available at the site. The sky was beautiful from this site, and the location is great - can’t beat a close drive to the beach. The employees (shout out to Mike) were super helpful with our questions about kayak rentals and general goings-on around the campsite. I would recommend this to anyone looking at staying here.

I stayed one night in my camper van, a 2wd Ram ProMaster 3500. Definitely approach from the west (from Hemlock), not from the east as there's a long, sandy ascent that really requires 4wd this way; my van didn't have a prayer of making it, and it's a long way to back out but there's no choice 'cause there's no way to turn around. Come from the west and you're fine! The site is really great. I was the only inhabitant, but there are multiple electric hookups all around the big fire ring. Pretty cool to have electric way out in the woods...that had to be a major project getting wires run. There's a very clean porta john on site too. For my night here, I had total privacy, excellent stars, and quiet - definitely will return.

Overall, I would recommend this site! Firewood (as well as drinks and food) are available for purchase at the biergarten and the staff (shoutout to mike!) was friendly. The site was fairly private, and the porta-potty was clean. Unfortunately, we had the most insane rainstorm while at this campsite, and were forced to shelter in our car from lightning, but it was no fault of the hosts.

Great camping experience! Doesn’t get better than having a Biergarten within walking distance. Their locally brewed beer offerings were extensive & food from the food truck was nice. There’s only 3 sites & they are all large & very private. Will definitely be back with friends!!

Had a great stay, 2 adults and a dog. With only 3 sites, the grounds are quiet and secluded. Having the beer garden a walk away was nice to have a few beverages before bed. Had a decent fire pit ring with cooking grate. Had fire wood and ice available for purchase. Food truck on site was also a perk for an additional little snack if needed. The staff were helpful and extremely friendly. Will definitely be back!!

We loved Blue Lake Hops & Gardens! The sites were shady, spacious, and private. Each one has multiple places to set up a tent or camper, as well as a fire ring with grill attachment and trash can. All sites are just a short walk to the biergarten, which is supremely welcoming and cozy. We highly recommend, and are already looking to book all three sites for a large group of friends to camp together!
