If you enjoy scenic drives & the opportunity to see America the Beautiful, we stumbled upon a true treasure on our trip to Acadia NP: NH Route 9 between Brattleboro, VT & Concord, NH. Both directions offer beautiful mountains & water views.
We stopped for the night at The Waddle on Inn. Kevin & Jess were gracious hosts, sharing their spectacular mountain views. Perched up on a hill looking over a field of wildflowers, we had unobstructed views of the mountains. Jess offered us delicious cherry shortcakes, still warm from the oven & perfect after a long soggy day of driving. Their ducks could be heard briefly, gentle murmurings always bringing a smile. Wild birds sang us to sleep & our morning coffee was about as peaceful as we’ve ever had. Kevin & Jess have a little slice of heaven & are gracious about sharing. If we are lucky enough to be in this area again, we will surely Waddle on Inn again!
