Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.

Evensong Farm is a preserved historic farm adjacent to the Antietam National Battlefield. We have set up two, almost identical, sites on a 60 acre parcel of our farm which is very private for our campers, but allows access to the lovely Antietam Creek. The sites themselves are about 500 feet apart so, while they maintain privacy when booked by different parties, can also be booked together for group stays.
We have been hosting campers at our "glampsites" since 2021. Each off-grid site has a 12x16 platform with a 10x12 canvas side wall tent, a firepit and chairs, a cooking area with a grill and sink for washing up, a picnic table and benches, and a private bathroom with a composting toilet and solar shower bag. The main tent is set up for 2 people, although 4 is possible. The sites can handle a max of 12 people, with the use of additional tents (BYO or you can set up some of ours). We provide an electronic camp guide to all of our campers that include our recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as camping tips and other handy info.
Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed, side tables, and a cafe table and chair set. We have put down foam flooring and a carpet for your comfort and provide numerous battery powered lights, lanterns and fans. In cold months we can add a propane heater to keep the chill away. We also have some games, maps of the area, decks of cards, and a fire extinguisher.
Stepping outside the tent you'll find our long rainfly creates a covered porch where you can relax on our provided chairs. There are additional chairs around the firepit and each firepit has a cooking grate so you can cook over your campfire. We provide one bundle of firewood (including kindling) per night with your reservation. We do sell additional firewood, if needed.
In our kitchen area you will find a picnic table and chairs, 5 gallons of drinking water, a clean up table that includes a foot operated pump sink with an additional 5 gallons of washing water, a grill (one site has propane and the other has charcoal), trash and recycling bins, grill tools, lighters, plus dish and hand soaps.
Our farm is a mile and a half from the town of Sharpsburg, MD, home of the Antietam National Battlefield (and Nutter's Ice Cream Shop). You will find the Appalachian Trail to our east and the C&O Canal to our west (10 minute drive to either).

The luxury of this cottage cannot fully be felt until your perfect stay.The spaceCottage is built from years of reclaimed lumber and timber raised and cut on our property nearby. We designed the cottage to be a private location, the back deck is surrounding by trees. Your only complaint will be having to go home the next day. Cleaning precautions for everyone are taken to extreme lengths. All linens, pillows, etc. are completely removed and cleaned. All surfaces receive commercial disinfectant and upon the request of the guest we can cordinate fogging services. We apologize in advance that some normal things are removed completely like printed house manuals. We ask that you remove all trash and a few other things upon departing to help us stay safe as well.The internet cannot be guaranteed if there is a problem with the provider. In a wooded area bugs are normal. Loud noise or Guest not on the reservation will result in immediate termination and removal. We have a zero tolerance policy. Our relationship and safety of our neighbors and neighborhood is of upmost importance to us.

I've been camping at Conowingo Creek for four years, and every time is just as delightful as the last! Gini & Kelly are spectacular hosts who will do everything they can to make sure your trip is perfect. I couldn't imagine camping anywhere else!

Weekend Trip to Camps at Evensong Farm
Julie’s property was absolutely a joy and as I write this my partner have already thought a return trip that will add additional days to fully enjoy her property and the amenities. What stood out was the details of having everything available and her overall responsiveness to any questions or requests we had.

I love spending time at Craig's property. This was my second visit and somehow it was better than the first trip which was amazing. We weren't able to paddle bc the creek was down, and it wasn't impactful to our fun at all. Just book it! And if you can check out the nearby dirt race track BAPS, fun for kids and adults alike.

We had a lovely fall weekend glamping on Gini’s land. The site is beautiful and well maintained and the tent is very comfortable and filled with everything you could want even for cold weather camping. Gini’s hospitality was also exceptional (going out of their way to provide extra blankets and hot water bottles to one of our party who camped in a tent), and the land is perfect to walk through. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom safely. Will definitely be back!

Both sites at Evensong were just wonderful for our 2 families, and Julie was a perfect host. The tents were very comfortable, the sites were very picturesque, and the grounds were perfect (and safe) for letting the kids run around and have adventures. We were particularly impressed with how well-appointed the sites were in terms of things like lanterns, kitchen equipment, and lots of other little details to make the stay more comfortable.

My family and I loved staying at Julie's camp sites! It was the perfect place to go and relax. Having a kitchen with water was helpful when needing to wash hands and dishes. Julie provided a lot of helpful tips and information about the sites and the surrounding areas. Fishing was relaxing and caught a lot of fish! We will definitely be coming back!

Group trip
This was my second time at Craig’s space and it did not disappoint! Great eating, beautiful scenes and amenities galore. Me and four other friends set up a tent down by creek and woke up to some of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve seen in a while. If you’re into birding, we heard and saw all kinds of amazing feathered friends.
Our dogs explored every inch of the property and we got a chance to kayak pretty far down the Conewago creek. Craig was a master host, incredibly responsive but gave us plenty of room to feel like the space was our own.
I can’t recommend this spot enough!

My wife and two older dogs loved glamping at Conowingo creek! When they say they take care of everything, they mean it. We definitely overpacked thinking, “surely they won’t have x item, we should bring it from home” but they do have everything except your food, clothes, and toiletries outside of the normal soaps. Being able to let the dogs off leash on the 23 acres and take a dip in the creek made our weekend. It was nice to just connect with each other in nature with ease. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed two nights, and the experience far surpassed our expectations. I've been camping all my life, and this is one of our favorite, most memorable camping experience ever. The feeling of peace and serenity was amazing. We both unplugged from regular life and relaxed so much that it was hard to remember my password when I returned to work at the end of our trip!
Some highlights:
-Friendly, helpful, communicative (but inobtrusive) hosts
-The gift of whoopie pies was a nice nod to the local Pennsylvania Dutch culture
-Lots of tools and amenities, such as cooking pots and multiple flashlights and candles
-The wide, well maintained paths and walking trails were appreciated
-The woodchip base at the campsite kept everything neat and dry
-The amount of privacy was unmatched
-Being able to let our dog off leash was a plus. It made us so happy to see our dog bounding around with a happy grin on her face
- The creek was next level and our dog enjoyed splashing around and chasing sticks
-The hammock by the creek is a beautiful little peaceful spot
-The fairy lights that came on at dusk were both beautiful and practical, as were the tiki torches & torches made out of repurposed wine bottles
-We had mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, and they left us a jar of Hershey kisses, a card, and flowers
-A regular fire ring is available as well as one with a cooking grate that can be raised, lowered, or moved to the side
-A supply of firewood right at the campsite

Camping at Tamara's was relaxing and an overall pleasant experience. Watching the sunrise over the mountains in the morning, warming up by the fire at night, and spending days with the sweet animals was a blessing. Between the arts and crafts (really fun for little ones), learning about historical tools (think Little House on the Prairie), and improving my skills for fire building and cooking over a fire, this was a delightful and educational experience. The location is near hiking trails with great views, and near several ice cream shops (a great treat after a good hike). Tamara is a good host. This is definitely a location that I hope to return to.

This was our second stay on Craig's little slice of Heaven and it was just as lovely as the first go round. This trip we saw wild turkeys, deer, countless hummingbirds, toads, and more. Our dog, Thor, had a ball running around off leash. Highly recommend staying here!

This is now our THIRD year camping at the Conowingo Creek Campgound. There are lots of reasons we come back. We leave refreshed and renewed. The grounds are peaceful. Our dog loved Gini and Kelly's dogs. The campsite has everything you could think of. But it is the remote peacefulness that you will simply not find anywhere else in the area.

We loved camping at Gini and Kelly’s site. They are excellent hosts and we had everything we needed and more. Such a beautiful spot. The space by the creek is so peaceful, great to go on a small stroll, play with kids or just read a book in the hammock. My wife, child (7) and I were in need of a little getaway and it exceeded our expectations. Our daughter loved going to the creek and making smores. It was her first time camping so this was such a treat. We wish we could have stayed longer. We took them up on some extra things that they offer like the power bank and propane for cooking although we did the cooking mostly on the wood fire grill which made everything so delicious. We also met the doggies and chickens that they have, so fun, we of course bought a dozen eggs which fried in a cast iron on the wooden fire made breakfast incredible. Gini was very attentive and available for anything we needed. Like they say when booking, bring only your clothes. They have everything else you can think of and they were kind enough to let us know if we are missing something to let them know. We will definitely be back and for longer.

Wonderful location - scenic creek running through the property that's great for wading, fishing, or kayaking/canoeing (depending on water level - it was a bit low when we visited in late August). The property is very well kept, well stocked, and Craig was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. We had a great location for our tent near the creek, and played some horseshoes he had set up there. The fire ring was in a nice graveled area, so no worried about rogue sparks. Overall, very enjoyable!

This campsite is truly special. The hosts have gone above and beyond to think of every detail you might need during your stay. We had everything we could ask for and more, including fresh, great-tasting water, a spotless restroom and shower, firewood, a picnic table, a cozy tent and bed, and so much more. They checked in just enough to make sure we were comfortable, then gave us plenty of space to relax.
We loved exploring the grassy trails and cooling off in the creek; such a peaceful spot. On top of that, the location is convenient to great restaurants, fresh Amish markets, and other fun places to explore.
We had a wonderful time here and can’t recommend it highly enough. We’d definitely stay again!

Well… it’s just our happy place! I will keep coming here over other sites for sooooo many reasons. Walking the paths barefoot, playing in the river with the dog, holding the baby chick, and having everything you could think of before you can think to ask for it. We LOVE this place.

We had a fantastic stay at Evensong Farm! The site was well set up with everything we needed — the amenities were all on point. I really appreciated that firewood (one bundle per night) and plenty of water were included, with the option to buy more wood if needed. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
It was also really cool that the two sites are within easy walking distance of each other — perfect if you’re going with friends. There’s lots of space for extra tents, and it’s nice knowing you can comfortably fit up to 12 people if you want a bigger group gathering. The canvas tent itself was great, with a real bed and even a tent under the bed.
The location is excellent — just a short drive to Harpers Ferry for a daytime hike and a beer afterward. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!
