We’ve intentionally created an off-grid, calming nature experience. You’ll be surrounded by forest, open farmland and abundant wildlife. Native gardens, fruit trees, nut trees and herbs were planted near the tent areas in September 2024, offering beauty and a deeper connection to the land. Enjoy thoughtfully placed gathering spaces throughout the forest, including a whimsical Forest Tea Party area and Uncontained, our cozy repurposed shipping container—perfect for reading, board games, or shelter during a summer pop-up thunderstorm. A nature -made hammock area amongst tall pine trees is perfect for afternoon naps and are provided by us (7) Fire-pit seating, picnic tables, a charcoal grill, and a propane cooktop are also available. Walk the short Jeremiah Dixon/Charles Mason Trail, a path similar to one they would have taken in the 1700s. Follow it through the forest and across the creek to our homestead, where you can place one foot in Maryland and one in Delaware at the historic Mason–Dixon marker beneath an old wild cherry tree. Before heading back, stop at the main farm gate to visit our friendly goats—Dixie, Dolly, and Star. Come rest, wander, and reconnect—for this calming experience is where time slows and nature leads.

HORSES WELCOME!  Why not run your horse on the beach, then come to our campsites to relax for the rest of your day.  There is a fenced pasture positioned next to the sites so you can see your faithful friend enjoying some grass or hay.  We have a new Zinger 29' trailer set up with a bunk room and another bedroom, full kitchen and bathroom.  It can easily sleep six people.  If you have your own RV, we have a full hook up at the same area.  The pasture where your horse stays will also have hay, water and shelter with a run-in.  This is a sanctuary for our animals.  We have nine animals here, four horses (some minnies) and five donkeys (some minnies).  By staying here, you will be helping us to support our animals.  We are in Frankford, De which is close to all the beaches and parks.  There are many shopping adventures awaiting you, either outlets or upcycle stores.  If you just want to relax, there is a small pond out back stocked with bass and turtles.  We have 17+ acres but we only use the front five acres and leave the rest for the deer, foxes, eagles, hawks and whatever else shows up.  We believe this is Heaven on earth and would love to share it will you.  So please come, stay at our farm and relax.  We are here year round.

Both yurts have 3-speed fans included and do not have AC or heat. 5. Extra guests in the yurt? The yurts have a strict 2-guest-only policy. 6. Can friends (not on my reservation) come visit me? No. All visitors here must be registered guests as the public is not granted access here. 7. How far is the beach? North Ocean City, MD and Fenwick Island DE are both only 5-6 miles away. 8. How secure is the camping area? There is a coded entrance gate at the property entrance along with 6 outdoor security cameras that stay on 24 hours a day for guest and livestock safety. The locations are 2 at the entrance gate, barn house entrance/building overhang, tiny house entrance, horse grooming area, parking area, and inside the stables. These outdoor cameras also record at night and are available for any emergency services to review. 9. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied Airbnbs on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. Also on-site, are Brush N' Bond horse grooming sessions, horse whispering lessons, and farm animal paint sessions. Once you book, send Shelley a message with your chosen ranch activity! 11. Do guests have access to the entire ranch? No, guests have access to the glampground, cornhole, and parking area here at the ranch. The rest of the property is reserved for animal pastures (habitats) and fenced off for safety. Animals are easily viewed from all locations but not touched. 12. What sounds can I expect to hear? Expect to hear typical sounds of nature such as crickets, owls, and the crackling of a fire. In the morning, you'll hear our sweet goat trio, Charlotte the pig, and her excited "oinks" along with the occasional "moooo" and possibly a crow from the rooster and a "honk" from Petey our peacock who is ready for breakfast! 13. What are the check-out procedures? We ask that guests leave the yurt the way they found it (neat and tidy.) We also love to brag about any super clean guests!

We loved the yurt! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The fire pit was a perfect set up. During the day, we went on a nearby hike at Cederville state park, which was perfect since there is limited shade at the campsite. I’d recommend bringing an extra sunshade since there is only one umbrella at the table and has limited mobility. We definitely plan to return.

Very nice property. The private pond and the surrounding property are beautiful. Although there are houses on the perimeter of the property, you can’t really see them and it feels like you are in the middle of the forest (which you kind of are!). The privacy is just right since there are only 5 sites (4 tent or pull in RV sites and 1 Cabin) and they are spread out around the pond with plenty of space between each. The owners, Dan and Carol, were absolutely phenomenal. Dan came by on his golf cart every day to check on me (I was solo camping in the Cabin). Carol also came with him once. Aside from the privacy and rest/relaxation that I desperately needed, the best part was meeting Dan and Carol. Super nice hosts! Anyone looking for an off grid camping experience should camp here!

This is the best camping place I’ve ever stayed in It literally has everything you need, it was so nice to disconnect and relax in here, I am an artist and I never get the peace to just paint without interruptions but in here I even got inspiration from the land. The host is super nice, he met me and my sister at check in to show us around and make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I felt super safe out there and I never felt like we were missing something. I will definitely come back! Also there is a lot of yummy places in that area so we were never hungry lol If you are reading this and considering staying just book it already!

I absolutely loved camping at grasshopper acres. The entire experience absolutely exceeded my expectations. Josh had everything prepared for us when we arrived, he was very helpful and pleasant. The outdoor camp potty was very clean and had plenty of supplies. The tent was very well prepared with cots, tables and a wood stove. It rained off and on the entire weekend that we camped. However, it didn't bother us because we had more than enough space inside of the tent. We painted, played games and just fellowship and enjoyed each other's company. It was an absolutely great experience and I can't wait to do it again.

Weekend Trip to The Agape

My daughter and I had a lovely stay at the little water house over Memorial Weekend! So peaceful and relaxing! The house sits on top of the water, so you get it all! Gorgeous birds of all kinds! House has the basics, so byobasics. Loved it, reminded me of home in Texas on the river. Hosts were perfect. and give you the privacy you need! Shawna was great!

Weekend Trip to Strawberry Crossroads

My husband and I with our 3 children had so much fun staying in a mini cabin at Strawberry Crossroads. They have some goats that would visit us in the morning, which was so fun. Grateful for the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers. Having mattresses already on the beds was also very helpful. Felt very comfortable and safe there. Great place to camp!
