Wherever we go people either say "I love Maine!" or "I've always wanted to go to Maine!" This naturally wooded lot with a platform for your tent or table, is a perfect place to camp or park your RV and enjoy the beauty of Mid-Coast Maine. (Look for the lobster bouy on the tree and the lobster trap on the ground as you circle the street turn around.) It is located in the middle of the Pemaquid Peninsula, home to Maine's most famous lighthouse: it’s on the U.S. quarter. This is a great spot from which to explore beaches (8 miles), canoeing and kayaking (2 miles), state and national parks, and hiking trails (8 miles). There are great restaurants, shops, summer theater, art studios and antique markets in nearby Damariscotta and all along the Maine coast. Throughout the summer there are lobster fests, music fests, fairs and even a Pumpkin Regata (in Oct) when the fall foliage is at its peak. No camp fires as water source is 1.5 miles at town spring tap. This water is currently not portable but fine for washing. Public Port-a-potty at swimming hole 1.4 mi. Tent and car campers $20 per night. Message is for RV considerations. For stays of a week or more we provide trash pick up. For stays of 10 days or more, ask about a discount. We built this cabin recently with siblings and a few skilled friends to make a getaway place for the extended family. Just 2 miles off Rte. One our location is quiet and perfect for exploring the midcoast of Maine - a short drive to many favorite places! The cabin is built on property adjacent to our fruit farm which is slowly building up to full production with a kiwi orchard planted, ramps seeded, and a producing strawberry hoophouse for early ripening fruit. We move our horse and pony around to different fields during the warmer months, and keep pekin ducks (the white ones) (now all in retirement!). The farm is 78+ acres with logging roads and is located on a quiet road. Food markets and some good places to eat are within 6-7 miles. There is an outdoor shower, a nice outhouse, a campstove, oil lamps etc - so it's is very old fashion yet comfortable cabin stay! Bring your own towels and maybe some candles. Plenty of board games, and maps of our local hikes and places to explore. If you come in the fall you should know that the roof is insulated but the walls are not - so layer up, bring extra blankets, and hugging the woodstove might be necessary! You'll enjoy the screened porch in all kinds of weather.

We had a fantastic stay at our camper spot in Boothbay, ME. The site was spacious, peaceful, and surprisingly close to town—perfect for both relaxing and exploring. One of the highlights was the quick walk to the waters, which made morning strolls and sunrise views incredibly easy. Sunsets are only a short drive away on Ocean Point. We spent time hiking through several Boothbay Regional Land Trust preserves, which offered beautiful scenic views and a great variety of trails. Would absolutely love to come back again. Kari was great to work with. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with easy access to everything Boothbay has to offer.

Great location to explore the Boothbay Harbor area. It is just the right size camp. The electric and water are great to have. We are in a campervan and only need a household plug which this site has. Stars were beautiful and night quiet. The site is private but not isolated. There is light foot, bike and car traffic. We road our bikes all around. Grimes Cove Beach, lunch at the Bluebird Ocean Point Inn, hikes Ocean Point Preserve and Linekin and Burley Preserve. Saw some eagles. We explored Boothbay Harbor area. The East Boothbay General Store has really good breakfast sandwiches and other wonderful items. We would stay again.

Weekend Trip to Fairwinds Farm Glamping

We had a great night on David's property. Their garden and field of sunflowers were beautiful and the site was very private and perfect for our group of four people and four dogs. They kindly tied their dog up so that it wouldn't venture over to our grumpy dogs. The tent sites were level and the perfect consistency for putting in stakes, the firewood was very dry and easy to access, and we bought a lemon blueberry sourdough and some jam at the farmstand that we enjoyed! The picnic table, which looked new, was very nice and the toilet is the nicest toilet I have ever seen camping and deserves a shout out of its own. David was also extremely responsive on the app and was very accommodating of our last minute reservation! We hiked up Singlepole Mountain to the quarry on our way out (about 15 mins away) and got a great view from only about a mile of hiking.

This is our second stay! We will be back again next year! The walking trails are our favorite, we love to forage and this is totally the place! The garden is beautiful and the sites are very good sized and spaced out enough you’d never know other people were there! The primitive shower was a great addition this year! It was easy to use. They supplied a lot of things including tents screen, tents, and chairs! Too bad we didn’t get the chance to buy any of the delicious baked goods at the farm stand, but they sure looked delicious! We can’t wait to come back again for our annual family camping trip!

Lovely little cabin! It was great to get away from our home routine and live without electricity or running water. We stayed at the end of July and while it got hot on one of the days the cabin cooled down really quickly with the windows open in the evening. Lots of fun things to do nearby. It was a bit buggy when we were walking around the property so bug spray was necessary. But the cabin had everything we needed and Barbara was very responsive with anything that came up!

This cabin is fantastic! We had an amazing short stay. Burgers on the camp stove followed by games on the screened-in porch made for a night we will surely feel nostalgic for in the coming years. The central location offers easy access to both lakes and the ocean. Most of our weekend was spent at a wedding, but if/when we return, we would bring our kayaks or take advantage of the canoe rental. There are many beautiful and calm paddling spots close by it was a bummer we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy them.
