I had a nice stay here. The privy was clean and it's only 30-40 minute drive from Bangor. The sites are on a slight grade of a hill but it isn't that bad and they each have a fire ring and picnic table with a trash can.

My son (age 12) and I have been to Four Acre Woods for the last 2 years and really enjoyed it. The first year we tent camped and this year we stayed in the yurt. The campground is very small, which we like and each site is unique. Lots of amenities for such a small campground, they really think of the little things that keeps camping comfortable. The yurt was wonderful and the campsite has everything you need (we brought too much stuff). Just bring yourself, clothes, and food and you are good to go. We are fairly local, so it is a great weekend getaway, but we don't really explore the area when camping. If you want to experience the downeast Maine coast away from the more touristy spots, this is where you want to go.

We had a phenomenal time car camping under the stars here. Heather was a phenomenal host and saved (quite possibly MADE) our trip. A last minute booking led to one of our favorite memories together. We lit a fire and stargazed in her peaceful yard. Heather provided everything we needed to make the night unforgettable. Would definitely recommend you make staying here a priority. We set up on a gorgeous open field with nearby walks on both sides of the road. Candy welcomed us (even though we were not in the area normally reserved for Hip Campers) and graciously allowed us to stay where we were. She also invited us to a musical event being held for friends. Candy was a friendly and gracious host.

We loved staying in the yurt! It was perfectly private, adorable, and we were surprised by the incredibly comfortable beds. This was the perfect size for our family of 5. The community room was warm (literally had a wood stove going at 6am!), stocked with coffee and hot chocolate, and hosts and the space alike were welcoming and helpful.
