Weekend Trip to 🌲 40 Acres Of Riverfront Serenity

Beautiful spot right on the river! We swam and tubed several times even though the weather wasn’t great. A little bit of road noise at the campsite but the sound of the river made up for it! Dogs loved it they could run and roam the property with no issues. Overall excellent site, we had a great time!

An Absolutely Unforgettable Stay with Joel at Hipcamp! Wow. Just… wow! If you're looking for an absolutely mind-blowing Hipcamp experience, do yourself a HUGE favor and book with Joel. From the moment we arrived until the second we reluctantly packed up, our time there was nothing short of perfection. The views? Prepare to have your jaw on the ground, Seriously, they are beyond stunning – panoramic, breathtaking, and just endlessly captivating. We spent hours just soaking it all in, mesmerized by the sheer beauty surrounding us. Every angle offered a new Instagram worthy scene. But it wasn't just the scenery that made this trip so incredible; it was the entire vibe and, of course, Joel himself. He's an absolutely fantastic host – welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about providing an amazing experience. Everything was set up perfectly, making our stay easy, comfortable, and utterly relaxing. We had an amazing time – truly one of the best getaways we've ever had. If you're seeking a place that combines unparalleled natural beauty with a top-notch hosting experience, look no further. This Hipcamp is a total gem, and Joel is simply the best. We're already dreaming of our next visit!

This was a great spot! Site had a table and fire pit, as well as a platform for a tent. Adrian sent very detailed instructions before our stay and was a great host! Also had some amazing stars at night

3 nights at 🌲 40 Acres Of Riverfront Serenity

Wow, this is an amazing piece of paradise in Maine!! The river was refreshing, clean, and stunningly beautiful. We had the best of both worlds being in the woods and near water. My dog enjoyed being able to roam around off leash while I relaxed in the river. The location is perfect, close to a grocery store and gas station, Farmington had a wonderful downtown area with shops and restaurants, and also close to Rangely! The camp host, Kyle, was very responsive and welcoming. One day it was almost 100° and some kids made their way up the river, crawling on the rocks to float down on their tubes. Next time, Im bringing a tube! Thank you for allowing other people to enjoy this site!!

Sarah met me when I arrived and gave me great recommendations on local hikes and places to check out. Very dog friendly! This is a cozy, welcoming, hidden spot off the main road and away from the house. Felt very comfortable and safe. Would recommend!

It was simple and beautiful. We hope to stay again in the fall, as I’m sure this is a great spot to see the foliage!

I hate to say it, because if more people know about it, it might not be available for ME, but this is my all-time favorite Hipcamp. Sarah really CARES -- to the tune of leaving a vase of flowers, fresh water, kindling of all sizes and wood, making it so homey and inviting. Ever since I retired and travel from Georgia to Maine in June and back to Ga. in Oct., I always stay there, and it is always enjoyable. This time I arrived about 3pm, so I had a lovely afternoon there with my doggies. It is private, scenic, and lovely.

This was a very nice place that felt quiet and secluded at the site. There is no turn around for a camper so just be prepared to back it out to the road but it’s a pretty easy driveway to get in and out of. Definitely would stay again if we’re in that area.

I changed my plans at the last minute due to the weather. Sarah and Andrew were very responsive and issued a refund immediately. I would contact them again if I needed a place to stay in the area.

Easily one of the best places I’ve camped in New England. We had the whole place to ourselves. The views are spectacular, it’s very private and peaceful, and there’s so much room to explore. It’s worth coming to this area of Maine just to stay here. The family’s farm store in town, Berry Fruit Farm, is a must visit! Delicious food! We will definitely be back!

I liked everything except the toilet, which had no walls, was too low to the ground and the hole was too small even though it was enlarged during my stay. A better solution should be found which can still satisfy the hosts' goals of being amenable to incineration. Hosts were very nice and gave me good tips on hikes and bike rides. Stay out of neighbors property. He will become upset. I would definitely consider returning. Recommended.

Adrian sent me very specific instructions to get to the site which I appreciate. It’s gated and there’s a beautiful lake half a mile from the site. You get the entire campground to yourself which is quite huge. There’s a wooden platform which can fit up to two tents. There’s a fire pit and picnic table as well. Just bring your own firewood. It was a surrounded by woods, dark, and very private. Though the road was rough, my AWD HRV had no problems getting there. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Sarah and Andrew are the warmest hosts I’ve ever met on the app. I was used to just driving on site but these two greeted and showed me around. There’s enough space for two families. I loved how the site was thoughtfully littered with pine needles, making the ground so soft to sleep in. It’s far from their house and the compost toilet was also private. Included is a convenient gallon of water on site and a fire pit. Andrew let me help myself to their chopped wood. I loved my stay and hope to come back!

Sarah and Andrew have a beautiful wooded spot nestled in the pine trees of Maine. the directions were very clear and they were easy to communicate with. Thank-you for hosting us!

2 nights at Camp Streife

Great spot, if I’m back in the area I’d definitely look into staying again. Getting to the camp wasn’t bad in my truck, but might be more difficult in a sedan or something. Still probably doable. The site itself it’s nice. Tucked away and feels very private. It has a nice wooden tent pad, a fire pit, and a table. We stayed two nights and had a great time. Did some of the hikes nearby. Even saw two otters at the pond up the road.
