The 100 acre wood located in the hills of Oxford County is a peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of todays world. Recently selectively logged we discovered views of local mountains and decided to take advantage of the clearings. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. ATV trails (also can be used for off-road biking)onsite connect with other towns for many miles and hours of riding. Plenty of lakes/rivers for kayaking. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running hot and cold water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap. Any questions please ask. We are happy to help :)

Lulu’s cabin is in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. We even had a doe grazing just 50 feet away for almost an hour! Our dog loved it too, and there are endless great hiking options within an hour’s drive. We had a wonderful stay!

First experience using Hipcamp and we had a wonderful time! Campsite was large, clean, and beautifully located next to a big stream. Easy access to outhouse and running water. The location was easy to locate and access. My dog and I were able to drive up and down the hill without issue. The area was all setup so perfectly. The fire pit area was beautiful and safely tucked up away from the cabin, with the outhouse on the opposite side. Waking up to a sunrise like this one was unforgettable. The night sky was so beautiful and so clear. It's was an exceptional experience to say the least! My dog and I are excited to come back again soon and spend more time out on the trails, that are only steps away from the front porch. ❤️

We absolutely loved our stay on Joel’s land. Unbelievably beautiful spot. Spacious and quiet. Only ten minutes or so from amenities but feels a world away. We absolutely loved riding our bikes up and down the hill at sunset. We’d come back any time (and plan to!). One thing, we booked site one thinking it was the site at the top of the hill with a picnic table (as we car camp usually and don’t have a table handy). When we arrived, other campers were already set up in what we thought was our site. I based this assumption on previous campers reviews, and the fact that it says there’s a picnic table at the site on HipCamp. We found another great spot down the hill and set up there, but it was a little more difficult without a table and frankly a little confusing as to where to set up as sites aren’t numbered and we didn’t want to intrude on anyone else. A minor inconvenience as we still had an amazing time.

We loved this spot so much we came back again at the end of our camping trip! After traveling around Maine for 2 months, I can honestly say this is one of the hidden gems — quiet, stunning, with well-kept land right by fresh water for fishing and swimming. It’s perfect for children, and the owners are super welcoming and cool! We’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone and hopefully come back again ourselves. There are also fun things to do nearby — waterfalls, Height of Land, and some great hikes. Such an underrated area!

Beautiful property with campsites right next to the stream, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the stream at night. It was hot during our visit and the stream was refreshing. The property is large and sites are far away from the road, so it was very peaceful. Owners were very accommodating.

I almost hate to leave a review because I want to keep this little piece of heaven all to ourselves. Gorgeous views and just rustic enough, but still with key comforts. Cozy beds, cook ware essentials, outdoor "kitchen" station with a killer view, quirky little touches, and a great porch. The chipmunks (red squirrels?) kept our dog very busy "hunting". No worries, she didn't catch anything, they just teased her with their chirping. We watched the full moon come up over the trees and cooked dinner over the fire. Can't wait to come back!
