This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. Wanted to say a big thank you for letting me stay at your location. Waking up this morning and seeing that field was incredible — easily one of the nicest spots I’ve ever stayed at on Hipcamp. I can only imagine what the other locations on your property look like if this one was that amazing. And your dog waiting by my van door first thing in the morning to play with Chloe absolutely made my day. That was the perfect way to start the morning. Really appreciate the hospitality, man. Thanks again!

Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

Nick is a terrific host and it's obvious that this hipcamp is a labor of love. Kudos to Nick for preserving this beautiful property for generations to enjoy especially in the face of constant development and expansion northward. It truly is a sanctuary. Wildlife is terrific and diverse. Lots of deer, birds, Moose and great privacy between sites. I'll return for sure!

Sacred Nectar Sanctuary is one of those rare places that completely exceeds expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Nick — the owner and creator of this sanctuary — is not only a master artist but also a true visionary. He has built an incredible environment for camping and van camping that feels both natural and magical. The setting is stunning, but it’s the details that make it unforgettable. The sauna and the natural cold plunge in the river were absolutely idyllic — one of the most relaxing, grounding experiences I’ve ever had. Nick built it all himself, and you can feel the care and craftsmanship everywhere you look. There are surprises around every corner — art, little design touches, and thoughtful amenities. Even the bathrooms and showers were an upside surprise — beautifully done, clean, and clearly created with love. Nick himself is also a highlight: cool, flexible, and genuinely great at customer service. You feel more like a guest at a friend’s property than at a campground. If you’re looking for something unique, restorative, and full of heart, this is it. I can’t recommend Sacred Nectar Sanctuary enough — we can’t wait to go back.

Sacred Nectar Sanctuary was our favorite Hipcamp yet! Nick's property has all of the key amenities of a traditional campground, plus a few extras: community kitchen, firewood for sale, extra parking, walking trails, outhouses, access to drinking water, etc. However, unlike a traditional campground, the sites are very spaced out and private, which makes for a really great camping experience!! We were able to allow our dogs to wander off-leash at our campsite and in the surrounding woods, without bothering any other campers. Also, the sandy clearings at our site made it so easy to pitch our tents! We will definitely be back, and can't wait to check out some of the other sites at Sacred Nectar!

Chaga met us upon anrrival, and that’s just the beginning of this magical place. Our field site was beautiful and secluded. The sauna and cold plunge was beautiful…the water was crystal clear and ice cold! My boy loved the zip line! We will ABSOLUTELY be back! Thank you Nick!

Nick was a fantastic host and the entirety of Sacred Nectar was a great experience. Site 3 was well maintained and had plenty of room for 4 tents. The grounds had plenty to do and entertained my 6 year old over the course of the two days spent there. I would highly recommend Sacred Nectar to anyone looking for a trip in the area. We will be back!

SNS is such a gem of a place. We stayed for the first time here, at site 3 and had such a lovely time. The property is gorgeous and has a lot to offer whether it’s walking trails, hanging out outside, or stargazing. The photos of site 3 don’t even do it justice - Nick has added a teepee over the main tent are and much more. You’re not far from Lake Winnipesaukee, North Conway, and even Franconia Notch State Park for extra adventures. Our car broke down while on a day trip to SNS and had to be towed locally and Nick was super accommodating with making sure we had a spot for a few extra nights of camping, and letting us leave our food and provisions in the communal kitchen. What felt like what could be a major inconvenience just allowed us more time to be at SNS (a treat!) and know that if we needed help, Nick felt like someone to go to. Nick’s dog Chaga was such a sweet soul and felt like the protector of the property. There were lots of sweet pups during our stay we got to meet and hang with. This is a can’t miss place for people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. We can’t wait to go back!

This was one of the coolest Hipcamp spots we have ever stayed at! We came after dark and set up with ease. It was amazing to wake up to the beauty in the morning. We took a walk around the grounds and there is so much to see and do. Beautiful views (especially in fall time), camper amenities worth dreaming about, an adorable dog and chickens!!) The host was also so kind and stopped to check in on us. We cannot wait to come back and bring everyone we know. What an awesome spot.

We stayed out in a field site, very private with beautiful views of the mountains! Nick was so kind and accommodating, we loved touring all his creations around the sanctuary. We even got a tour guide for our hike, from Chaga the Husky! We can't wait to come back some day for longer <3
