Fieldstone Farm is a 35-acre property in Warren, Maine. Our waterfront campsite is located on a wooded parcel nestled between a rolling farm field and a seasonal cottage. Amenities included in the nightly rental are a 16-foot diameter round Regatta Bell canvas tent set up on a raised wooden platform, with a queen-sized pull-out futon, two additional single-sized futon chairs, and an indoor dining table and stools. Outside, overlooking beautiful Crawford Pond (aka Crawford Lake) is an outdoor kitchen and lounging area with patio table and chairs, umbrella, as well as kitchenware (cookware, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, coffee press, etc.), a gas grill, and firepit. Also onsite is a shed for storing food bins and trash, a solar composting toilet, and a solar sun shower stall.
The campsite is just steps away from shared water access with a small beach and space to launch paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, or other similar kinds of watercraft. Friendly dogs are welcome at the campsite and on the beach; however, dogs should not be left unattended at the campsite or on the beach.
The lake covers nearly 600 acres, with an 11-mile perimeter, and is 3.5 miles in length. In the middle sits 100-Acre Island, a beautiful piece of land stewarded by the Georges River Land Trust and a great place to get out and stretch your legs if you are on a long paddle or to have a picnic. In general, this is a delightful setting for swimming, floating, fishing, and paddling among the loons and other wildlife that this water body is home to.
The campsite is a short drive to a number of terrific hiking trails that are part of the Georges Highland Path, a 70-mile network of trails, and the St. George River Canoe Trail. It’s also just 20 minutes to Camden Hills State Park and downtown Camden, and 18 minutes to Rockport or Rockland. There are many excellent restaurants and art galleries in these coastal towns, as well as opportunities to get out on the ocean and enjoy our coastal beaches or catch a ferry for a day trip out to explore one of the iconic islands offshore. Want a unique vacation? Everyone loves the idea of their own island. Peaceful, quiet and away from it all. In recent years we even have a nesting bald eagle pair! Our cottage is rustic, no running water and no electricity and only accessible via boat!
We have a propane stove, refrigerator, and lanterns. Guests must bring water and small propane canisters for their stay. Guests are required to clean before departure.
Bathroom is within the cottage and has an odor free composting toilet. For showering needs we have a camp style solar shower. Bedroom has a full-size bed. Crow's nest has a small futon that opens for an additional bed for one.
The $375 fee is the cost of the boat captain to make one trip to deliver you and your gear to the island and one to take you back. If you will be coming in your own boat or kayak, please let us know and we can refund that fee if we aren't hiring the captain.
Depending on the captain's schedule often arrival is the last trip of day and departure is 8 am. Additional trips can be arranged with our captains as well as sightseeing tours. Please note the captain charges $25 to transport a pet. We have a dock if you would be interested in bringing your own boat.
Boat rentals also available nearby. Arrival and departure times are dependent on the captain's availability.

We went tent camping on Jeff and Cathy's land. Jeff and Cathy were wonderful hosts. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday gift and they went next level by decorating our picnic area with birthday decorations and a personalized card. They also gave our boys two painted pumpkins to bring home. I didn't know I'd find hospitality at a campground, but Jeff and Cathy delivered. All of the sites offer good privacy so you don't feel like you're stacked on top of another family. The bathhouse is kept super clean. This was our first overnight tent night with our children and it went spectaculary! Thank you Jeff and Cathy. We'll be back.

1 night at Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping
I can’t wait to come back! My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this. The set up was perfect, Jeff and Cathy have gone above and beyond with making sure their guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We stayed in the Owls Nest, it was super cozy. There was a whole outdoor kitchen set up with all the kitchen supplies you need. They supplied fire wood, kindling and fire starter! They had jugs of water, a very nice clean bathroom set up. There is a lot of cute animals around too, we saw a few deer, and a porcupine with its baby!
We were so impressed with Jeff and Cathy’s hospitality and can’t wait to come stay in the Owls Nest next season :)

Weekend Trip to Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping
Jeff & Cathy are kind and lovely hosts. Their campground is wonderful. It has everything you could want and need at a campground. It was awesome to catch up, hike, and cook with one of my childhood friends in rural Maine without having to worry about setting up camp. I’ll take staying at this campsite over staying at a hotel/motel or a large campground. I’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I had the best trip of the year staying at Art’s camp, he has put so much time and effort into ensuring that campers have everything they need. The property is so beautiful and the shower is great. We immediately connected, he is a good man and really cares about the people who come to camp there. He recommended several places to fish and eat while we were there as well as places to hike. All in all a really awesome experience for our first time with HipCamp.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this camp. We never had the need to leave the site! It was beautiful, quiet and right on the water with amazing sunrises and sunsets accompanied by the sounds of loons. The camp itself was perfectly put together with everything we needed and more! I agree with all the other nice things said in the previous reviews! I didn't have any issue getting to sleep in my tent in the tent/RV spots just off the road, the distance between the road and camp + the line of trees really helped, but I'm also not a light sleeper, so take that into account! Art was a great and accommodating host, wish we could've spent a bit more time. Definitely secluded/private but still with all of the comforting amenities!

Beautiful, well kept campsite. The water access and peaceful surroundings are something special. We saw bald eagles, loons and lots of fish jumping! It does get chilly at night so definitely remember to pack warm sleeping bags/blankets. Highly recommend this beautiful spot!

Beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway surrounded by a forest. Perfect for nature lovers; lots of wildlife and biodiversity. The facilities are excellent—everything was super clean and thoughtfully designed. The host provided everything we needed and then some (even lanterns, anchors for the tent platform, insect zapper, citronella candle, dish soap, water, firewood, hand soap, and toiletries). It’s completely off grid but we didn’t miss a thing. There are several lakes nearby which are perfect for swimming and kayaking; we also went on a lovely hike. The area isn’t very touristy, which we liked. Strongly recommend this site.

Art was the best as a host... Responsive and so enthusiastic about his surroundings. The accomodations [up the hill for me] were clean and plentiful. Art even offered to open the cabin for me if I wished. Especially appreciated was the bottled water to refill my cantene as I did a lot of outside work in the sun...nice to know the water was so pure.
The sight is a bit close to the transfer station for my likes; however, for those in tents or the lovely little cabins up the hill this would not be a problem. Also not a problem at night and on the weekends.
Oxford County in Maine is my stomping grounds. I hope many of you will come and visit. You will love Agape!

This is honestly one of the prettiest campsites we’ve ever stayed at! It’s rustic in the best way, but still has everything you need to feel comfortable. We stayed at Chickadee Corner over the weekend and had such a great time.
Jeff and Cathy greeted us when we arrived, gave us a quick tour, and answered all our questions. They’re the sweetest people and you can tell they’ve put so much love and effort into every part of the campground. It's lovely!
The bathrooms were super clean and so cute! We also loved that firewood was included—it made our nights by the fire even better. Everything felt easy, peaceful, and cozy.
