Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. We are now recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have trails on the property that are designed for contemplative walks, along with several benches where you can sit in quiet enjoyment, undisturbed by human intrusions. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. It is a little more secluded, 2-3 minutes further from the road in a very quiet wooded niche, at the edge of the marsh. It is also a little smaller tent (10' diameter) situated on a platform, and a little more "camping" than "glamping". We are pricing the stay there according. In spite of being nestled in the woods, no trees were cut to prepare these relatively accessible sites. We believe that they still offer a very tangible sense of wildness and solitude. Turn your time away into a transformative and healing experience, as you connect more deeply to the natural world. We hope that you will enjoy the experience of Turtle Marsh as much as we do.

Hi! We’re Josh and Keith! We love hosting at our little retreat in the woods. We fell in love with this area when we first visited, exploring on the ATV trails and we hope you do to. Our goal is to create an experience where people feel like they can really exhale from life and reconnect with themselves or loved ones. Tiny house with power from the grid and cold and hot water. Indoor shower, bathroom has small compost toilet. There is also an outhouse if you prefer. Propane heat for those cold Maine nights. Sleeping loft upstairs with a full bed and a small full out couch. Must be able to climb a ladder to access. Downstairs, a twin bed in the main living area along with two comfy chairs that turn into twin beds. We ask that you bring your own bed sheets and bath towels. 1 full size, 1 twin, 2 pull out twin chair.

Beautifully nestled in the Western Mountains of Maine, you are invited to come retreat, relax and restore your humanity by being immersed in the woods in an off grid handmade yurt, primitive campsite or available parking for vehicle or RV! Located upon land where there was once an 1800s homestead and with a surviving, but abandoned, hand dug and rock lined well and cemetery surrounded by many old rock walls that tell of times past when sheep and livestock roamed these foothills. This is a great location to access all the wild and tame wonders this beautiful area has to offer being close to Appalachian Trail, Sugarloaf, Saddleback and the surrounding foothills and towns to enjoy four seasons of adventures! There are 40+ acres to explore on the property with many self sustaining projects in the works and it is a pleasure to be able to share these practices with others!

Our campground is along the banks of the infamous Kennebec River. Within walking distance, you can enjoy our trails along the water or head the other direction across the street to our restaurant and bar. We have live music on the weekends often and guide river trips ( whitewater rafting, tubing, waterfalls etc from our base across the street too! We offer group and bundled packages too, if you would like to stay and play!! For accommodations, we have campsites, bunkhouses, glamping units and cabins. We are found right along the National Scenic Old Canada Road. It's a joy just getting up here on this nationally recognized scenic route. Our campground is also within a short drive to wonderful outdoor opportunities like Moxie, Houston Brook, and Grand Falls. We are in one of the best places to go see moose, too! I have a great location on the property that I own, which has self storage units as well. I am very close to three lakes and on one of the camp roads that leads to the state boat landing. There are several areas on the property that are equipped to park your camper as well as indoor shower, electricity if needed, and a water hose. The campsite is located in a very central location, which is convenient to all roads leading anywhere you would like to go throughout Maine.

We have a campsite near Lake George in Skowhegan and we added a few sites to share with friends and family. We are going to rent out few places to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. This is a tent but we have included some of the comforts of home. There is power to charge your phone, AC to keep you cool, a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold, lights and a coffee maker. There’s a separate communal bathroom with showers. From the campsite you can take a 10 minute walk down to the lake or you can spend the day hiking. You can drive down to the boat landing and put your kayak in the water or continue up the road to enjoy a nice sandy beach.
