Beautifully nestled in the Western Mountains of Maine, you are invited to come retreat, relax and restore your humanity by being immersed in the woods in an off grid handmade yurt, primitive campsite or available parking for vehicle or RV! Located upon land where there was once an 1800s homestead and with a surviving, but abandoned, hand dug and rock lined well and cemetery surrounded by many old rock walls that tell of times past when sheep and livestock roamed these foothills. This is a great location to access all the wild and tame wonders this beautiful area has to offer being close to Appalachian Trail, Sugarloaf, Saddleback and the surrounding foothills and towns to enjoy four seasons of adventures! There are 40+ acres to explore on the property with many self sustaining projects in the works and it is a pleasure to be able to share these practices with others!

MYCO RV site

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 30 ft
Park your RV or camping style vehicle and enjoy a beautiful time on land that once had a 1800s homestead and is in the progress of being settled once again! Please do not go down yurt access roads and keep them clear. Please do not park in the orchard or fields as that is the campsites area, but anywhere you can find a space on the landing area is fine. Thank you!

Yurt · Sleeps 4 · 1 bedroom · 1 bed · 1 toilet
The Guest Yurt is located on a five acre lot furtherest down the hill, accessible by vehicle, nestled in the regrowth of the forest. There is a full sized organic cotton and wool futon (a roll up mattress and camping style air mattresses are available for additional guests), dresser, dining area and dinnerware, kitchen and prep area with a manual footpump sink system, composting toilet and compost pile for all organic resources. There is a well house with a manual water pump, clean and tested water, for mindful water usage, along with clean food grade five gallon buckets for guests to use as well as filling personal container. Please do not empty, clean items or dump any liquids in or around the well area, thank you! 🙏 The composting toilet is easy to use, one scoop for liquids and two scoops for solids, being sure to keep a nice fresh layer sawdust and shavings above everything is all. There is a compost pile where all used water from the kitchen sink, compost toilet, and all other organic matter can be collected.
