Fantastic campsite. Perfectly level side to side; didn't even have to use leveling blocks. Steve was great. It was neat waking up to sheep and a donkey roaming through the site.

This site is so relaxing and the sunsets are beautiful. When its dark it's a glow on the water that makes mysterious a whole vibe. We was the only ones there so it was peaceful. The concrete pads are level and a nice size made setting up super easy. Randy was there but gave us our space which we appreciated that. Definitely a nice quick getaway for us, we'll definitely be back for sure!!!

The property was well maintained, Steve and his helper stopped in to see if we needed anything. I got a camper site as I needed the electicity, but that was a mistake the creekside tent sites in the woods were amazing and would have been a great stay. This isn't in anyway discrediting the site I was in it was also great just not burried in the trees by a creek

We only stayed one night, but Steve’s property was beautiful! Very welcoming and comfortable. Our dogs loved walking the property with us and visiting all their new goats and sheep friends!

The portajohn was in the middle of the view of the river and disgusting (need to be cleaned/emptied). There was only 1/2 a picnic table available for use. The views are of the river were amazing!

We really like the Campground. Nice secluded area. Most of them are campsites for tenting. But the six sites that were available for our fifth wheel trailer were really nice. Lots of things to do at the campground. Some beautiful sites on the water. The Campground host was quite helpful.

Spots were level, views were great. We had two rigs with 30ft trailers that traversed both the entrance and exits with ease. Randy’s communication was great, highly recommend!

Polly’s land right on the bank of the Ohio River had recently flooded. It was still beautiful and peaceful. We appreciated that Polly made a special trip to help us with a lock and key issue , on a rainy Friday night! The carport shelter was great in the rain, camping in our van.

Owner is super responsive and friendly! The entrance is a bit steep, but doable. The sites are level and the hookups are very well designed. Great views as well!

Booked a couple nights in advance. Firewood was already stacked by the fire upon arrival. Pull through site for easy in, easy out access. If you’re thinking of staying here go ahead and book it you’ll thank me later.

7 nights at A Notch Above-RV Riverside Campsite

November 2024 camping.....Randy was very responsive and kind. Great for a weekend get away, grandkids loved the barges, shells, and campfire. Area is not like a campground, (no trails or hiking) but fun. Bet it's great in summer to put in a kayak! Very nice having a concrete pad. Make sure your items are very secure before pulling a camper up or down the steep drive, I had a jar shift and break but it was on me for not securing. Looks of the drive can be intimidating, but it was no problem getting in or out. Very close to main road but road was not excessively busy.

Also evidence exists of this area being an Indian camp long ago as suggested by arrowheads and an old handmade rock wall. Primitive camping where you can pick your own scenic spot. This is my home residence in the small town of Dry Ridge, KY. I am just 20 minutes from The Ark Encounter and historic Williamstown. I have a small pond to camp next to either with a tent or RV that has electric and water hookup outside of my detached garage. Behind the property and surrounding the farm of 125 acres is eagle creek. Swim, fish, canoe, or kayak for additional fun and relaxation. There are walking trails and if not too congested side by sides are welcome as well. If the creek is low, there is a lot of fun to be had collecting clamshells and other various unique items that the waters bring. Wood can be purchased for campfires if desired. A small fire pit will be beside the campsite and a larger one down by the creek. Come sit by the pond and fall asleep to the sound of the frogs chirping and other wildlife.
