The Hughes Holler camp site is located in the mix grassed prairie of central Kansas. The site was once a homestead of some of the early pioneers of the area. While none of the remnants of the former farmstead remain. The the tranquility of sitting at a campfire on the banks of the pond can let ones mind wonder about what life would have been like living there in days gone by. The site includes a spring fed pond with abundant fishing, predominately white bass. Guests are allowed to keep any fish they wish to eat on site. But please release any others back into the pond. We are located 2 miles from the Kanopolis Lake wildlife and recreation area. Which includes numerous hiking trails at Horse Thief canyon. As well as 7 miles from historic Marquette with its unique downtown shops and activities: distillery, motorcycle museum, soda fountain shop/homemade ice cream, disc golf course, grocery store, bar and grill and liquor store. We were making our way from the west coast to the east coast and found this place to stay. It was beautiful, even in the fall/winter time. We stayed warm and cozy in the yurt and had a beautiful view of the lake. I would definitely recommend to stay here and we would come back.

Beverly’s hipcamp was the perfect place to stop on our roadtrip out west. The dogs had so much fun exploring the space and Beverly was so incredibly kind and welcoming. It unexpectedly rained most of the night and we were able to set up a cozy spot to relax and unwind after a long day of driving inside the Whitehouse. We loved the spot so much we will be staying on our return trip back home!!!

Weekend Trip to Brome Breeze Country Retreat

So quiet and peaceful. It was easy to find and fun to wake up with two horses looking at us. It’s a great halfway point between Colorado Springs and St. Louis! Would stay here again.

We were honored to host Rover and his family as their first Glamping experience together. Fun, friendly. We will be their refuge from the big city as needed.

Beverly’s place was the perfect respite after a long day on the road. Her directions were easy to follow and she let me in when I arrived. The setting was lovely and having the sheep, goat and dogs come say hello was wonderful. Overall wonderful value and a lovely host!

Gina is a fantastic host with a just as fantastic glamping experience! She made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable. This is definitely for someone who wants to have a more camp-like experience without having to bring your own tent or sleeping arrangements. Gina provided us with more than enough supplies for our stay and was on top of any requests we had. The lake on site was a beautiful addition to the scenery. I would 100% recommend this stay for any outdoors lovers or those who are looking to experience the outdoors.

Easy to find. Nice location with things to see in the area. I had a bit of a problem getting the lock off the electric box. No cell service but good internet. Was able to message Christina and when messages didn’t work to solve the problem she came right over. Would stay with them again.

We had such a wonderful time at Beverly's! It's a very peaceful spot, and Beverly made sure we had everything we could POSSIBLY want. She even brought us a table and chairs to use. We really couldn't have asked for a better host, and her animals were just as wonderful too. Still, one of the MOST outstanding things about our stay was getting to know Beverly herself. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stay there.

We stayed one night at Steve and Sharon’s land during our road trip from Nebraska to Kansas, and it was such a lovely experience! My children absolutely loved it — especially the Yut, fireplace and adorable, friendly horses that my younger son couldn’t get enough of. The Yut was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. It was so beautiful in the night under the moon and stars. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

What an experience!! Absolutely loved my stay, and definitely take the tour of the silo itself! Matthew is super smart, friendly, and personable. Great chat next to the fire, great Kansas sunset and sunrise, and great atmosphere
