Wildcat is a very nice campground operated by the Hamilton Park District in Hamilton IL. The Campground has 12 RV slots of various sizes and electric for tent camping. Water is also available at each camper site. There is also a dump station is on site. On the same property is a very nice public pool and one of the country's premier Disc Golf courses. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Just a half mile off of the Mississippi River. There is a single shower/restroom open for campers located on the North end of the pool house.

Nice flat grassy tent spot. Easy to set up and tear down. Very comfortable. Wesley was very nice and started a fire for me. Excellent hipcamp host! Trains and roads are close but very enjoyable. Safe camping spot. Cat will definitely greet you, very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at Wesley’s land. It was so peaceful and serene. Occasional train whistle but we are use to that. Wesley checked in to see how our stay was going. I highly recommend this little spot of nature in the Midwest. Easy to get to as well.

Wes has his sites set up very well. We were lucky to have the site by the barn that evening/night due to heavy rain that occurred; that time, the barn helped block the torrential rain coming from that direction. We spent a bit of time visiting the goats and his chickens. Wes went through the efforts of stacking the burn pit with wood, but we did not light a fire that evening due to the rainy weather. Wes was a very friendly, helpful host who obviously wanted to make sure his guests had a good stay at his place. you can tell he's given a lot of thought and has put in a lot of work to make it a good place for people to stay. Not only has he provided electricity, but some of the sites had water and sewer. He is continuing to make improvements and add to it. We would stay there again.

Camped for the weekend and I cannot say enough good things! The campsite was nice and level with great shade, a concrete picnic table, fire pit, and direct access to the creek! Johnny was super nice and checked in on us both days
Mosquitos were plentiful but that’s to be expected, bring bug spray!
Wandering the creek and finding geodes, fossils, and different rocks was the best and I wish I could stay forever! Lots of water snakes and other wildlife too.
I’ll be back, even if it’s just for a day trip - it was the perfect birthday celebration

What a cool place. We were able to camp right by the creek and it was quiet all night. Lots of folks come to hunt for geodes and in spite of that many can be found. The creek has snakes but they are harmless water snakes and very pretty. No need to worry about them.

Very nice area, spacious camping spots, and the playground right in front of us was a great way to keep our child busy and on sight. Although this spot #5 description said it was fully shaded, reality is that it wasn’t between 8a-3p. I would recommend to update descriptions of the spots and maybe including some actual pictures of every spot. Another surprise was that the only 24/7 available toilet and shower at the pool, it’s a family room, and was just one, so if it was taken, you had to wait for it to be available. Also, that family room was like a steam room, as there was no ventilation to keep the air flowing.

We stayed in site 3, almost the entire day the trailer was in the shade. With a nice breeze, we were able to stay comfortable, although the temperature was well into the 90's. Water, pressure is outstanding and 50 amp hookups, no sewer, but the dump station is well maintained. The power is a little on the low side, but never was below 112 volts. We definitely plan on staying here again.

Beautiful site - the little red cabin is extremely comfortable including air conditioning! Mandy, who works on the farm, welcomed me and gave a tour. I settled in and Dan popped by - learned so much about the history of the farm. I had a fire (thanks again to Dan) and a beautiful walk. The highlight for me was all the fireflies twinkling after dark. I highly recommend and will return!

Very nice little grass patch tent camping spot for me. Flowing stream right next to site has geodes in it. And you can mine for them as well in the dig site at the front of the property. I opted for lots of creekbed walking while in the area to collect the geodes. Fair warning. Check weather before you go. While I was there every creekbed west of the mississippi was muddy and swollen. The railroad creek at the site was low and clear.
