Amazing and welcoming host. Best nook that I have found to truly give me trees away from the beaten path. Had a great time in such a peaceful and comfortable environment. The set up for comfort was great!

Weekend Trip to Happy Hollow Homestead

We had a great time camping at Happy Hollow Homestead. The weekend we went was during the neighborhood's Summer Solstice party, and even though we didn't attend, it was a good time. (We were invited to the party, just chose not to go because we were honeymooning.) There is practically no cell service in the whole area of Marengo, but Kerry has wi-fi over the whole property, so we were still able to be reached if needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back.

Our family of 5 had a great time camping at HAPPY HOLLOWS! The property is very unique and had many features that stand out from other campgrounds. Kerry was very attentive and had many great stories to tell. The dogs on the property were all so sweet, and a great surprise for our kids. We would gladly come back in the cooler months

Nice, well-maintained spot on the side of a quiet dirt road. The beautiful tall trees blocked Starlink, but we didn't mind.

Bryan and Nicole were the ABSOLUTE BEST HOST EVER!! Great communication, hospitality and was generous enough to lend me a couple staple items, we forgot to bring. I camped here with a group of friends, and we had a wonderful time. The land is beautiful and teeming with wildlife, Kerry was very friendly and helpful, and we got to mostly disconnect from the outside world for the evening. Recommend!

4 nights at Unplugged Acres

We loved camping on Natalie's land! We had planned it as a landing spot for some trips to Holiday World, with 1 day at camp, but I wish we'd allowed an extra day or two to just enjoy the campsite. It was so peaceful and Natalie and her husband were welcoming hosts. We were invited to grab some fresh lettuce and onions from the garden to add to our dinner which was a great experience for the kids. One thing that wasn't quite clear from the listing was the location of the stream. It's down a steep hill and out of sight of the campsite. Our kids still enjoyed playing down there, butI thought I would note it as if you are planning for it to be a part of your experience, you'll want to make sure you can navigate the hill and/or your children are able to play independently in that setting. Overall this was a great place to camp. It was peaceful and quiet at camp (pretty sure 99% of any noise came from our kids & dog!). At the same time, there were gas stations & towns 5-10 min away if we needed to get moreice or something. Natalie was so responsive before and throughout our stay and I am so appreciative of her & her husband's efforts in hosting.

The farm adjoins the 75 acre Stranger Hills Organic farm, the oldest organic farm in Indiana. Our 1899 Farmhouse is the only residence on the entire farm. There is a 3000 acre farm to our south. The area is quiet and very private. The campsites are in a grassy walnut grove by a small creek that runs along the eastern border of the property. We have a white deer creek cabin tent on a platform there and 3 or 4 nice level campsites to the north. There is a shaded RV site at the top of a small hill with 30 amp service. We can accommodate a large RV on packed gravel with 50 amp service. the farm is located 15 minutes east of McCormicks Creek State Park. It is very private and completely surrounded by woods. This spot can accommodate two tents and one or two cars. There is no view of the night sky since you are in a dense forest. Learn more about this land: Our spot is not far off 64 and close to 69. It's a late 1800's farmhouse with an antique barn situated in the middle of an industrial park, so it is loud during the day. Since we've added a gravel parking lot for barn concerts, there are just a few camping spots. Vehicles are welcome. We usually have a portajohn. You can sit around a fire on our property and look at the stars by night (when there's not a fire ban). The Blue Grass Fish and Wildlife Area is a just a bit up the road. We’re 5 miles away from Patoka Lake Marina and Park. Where there is lots of recreational things to do(swim,trails,hunt, and fish). We also have 3+ wineries, a Dollar General and a couple of gas stations (convenient stores) nearby. There is lots of things to do around the area, if your willing to drive a little bit. French Lick Casino, Go Carts, Putt Putt Golf, Holiday World theme park, and a drive through Safari, or just relax around our Hilltop Hideaway.
