Our property is located north of Rockville, Indiana, in beautiful Parke County, right off Highway 41. Nestled in a quiet ravine, it offers a peaceful getaway close to local attractions. My husband and I live on site. We love to have guests, but still like to make sure that guests are comfortable. We try to only have a few families at a time. Our property has been a local campground since the 1970’s; we bought the property a few years ago and built a home. We now want to share our love for the property with others.
Turkey Run State Park and Shades State Park are just a few miles away, and kayaking or canoeing is available down the road. The area is famous for its 30+ beautiful covered bridges, as well as local Amish shops and food stands. Rockville itself has several charming coffee shops and unique shopping spots.
On-site, our property features walking trails, a his-and-hers bathhouse with toilets and showers, and a covered picnic area for you to enjoy. We are also within 30 minutes of Bridgeton and Mansfield—perfect if you’re visiting for the amazing Bridge Festival. We provide fire pits and firewood for your convenience. We have many spots on our property that you could choose to tent camp. We do also have some electrical units for campers. Electric is available to tent campers just let us know when booking.

Sherri and her husband were beyond welcoming, helpful and accommodating during a stay with my best friend. We had the entire creek campsites area to ourselves and they encouraged us to setup camp wherever we felt most comfortable. They even provided us tiki torches (with extra fuel), free firewood and lighter fluid, all delivered to us. They even set out fresh water bottles despite there being a water spout available on the grounds.
The property is very well-maintained, bathroom facilities are pristine, well-stocked (shower toiletries provided) and full of charm.
I've been camping and hiking for over 20 years and never had a more comfortable stay. We both felt very much back at home in Wisconsin and we absolutely would stay again in a heartbeat.

Great experience at Kurt’s property. The camper spot had everything we needed for a flawless stay. We enjoyed the property, although we were busy enough on our trip that I don’t feel like we were able to fully enjoy the space or make a fire with the provided firewood. We loved this hipcamp! There are multiple camp sites, even ones for RV hookups. Nice and quiet old campground with the creek running thru it. We did some good exploring. Clean and spacey shower house with added items in case you forgot something. Very nice play area set up.
Our camp site was perfect for tent camping. Shaded and cool. And helps block some rain.
We had everything we needed for a relaxing camping experience.

Angela went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The site was lovingly created and well-equipped. The host is very responsive and the kids loved having their first riding lessons! This property is a well-stewarded oasis in the midst of monocropped fields, and we could tell that all the birds and butterflies were grateful for the biodiversity. We would definitely stay here again -- you can sense the love and respect toward all life that this spot fosters.

Our stay was short, but this campsite was absolutely perfect. The property was peaceful, well-maintained, and exactly what we were looking for.
One of the highlights was the on-site organic store at Perkins Good Earth Farm. We picked up several items, and everything we bought was fresh and absolutely delicious. It was such a unique touch that really added to the experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with the added bonus of amazing farm-fresh products.

We loved our weekend camping at Swanky Acres. Sherri and her husband were incredible hosts with great recommendations of places to visit. The property was beautiful and the decorations around the sites were warm and welcoming. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen at a campsite. The covered picnic area had games and a Kurig for morning coffee.
Turkey Run State Park is a short drive away where we enjoyed canoeing on Sugar Creek and horseback riding. The hiking trails in Turkey Run and Shades Park are scenic, with some challenging trails. We rode our bikes over two covered bridges that are not far from the campground. We ignored REM's advice and visited Rockville, where there are great antique shops as well as the Drunk Tank for a wine tasting.
Whether you are camping in a tent, trailer, or RV, Swanky Achers is the place to be!

This worked out well for our weekend stay while visiting family in the area. Due to being gone most of the day for other events, we weren't able to take full advantage of the nice fire ring and picnic table area. However, the full hook-ups with the added benefit of WiFi were greatly appreciated after a full day. This is a lovely, quiet property well-maintained by a helpful host. We hope to return again.

Love being the only RV around! We’ve traveled the entire US over the past two years, and stayed in many RV parks and out of the norm spots.
This spot is beautiful, peaceful, and we love being by the horses. We have two dogs who also love the horses.
Michael is friendly and helpful! Definitely would stay here again.
One or two caveats: water has a lot of rust in it, so come prepared to change filters often
Spot is in the close vicinity of a construction yard so there is a lot of movement and pieces of equipment around
