We had a wonderful stay at Burke Creekside RV! Lisa was a great host—friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. She gave us the perfect spot for our large group, with power and water hookups and plenty of room for those in our group who were tenting. She checked in with us regularly and offered great recommendations for things to do in the area. The nearby town of Wallace is absolutely charming! We especially enjoyed the Silver Mine tour and the local ice cream shop. Highly recommend!

The site we stayed at was fabulous. It had a great view of the farm and the meadows yet it also had a nice view of the trees /woods that surrounded the area. There was a lot of activity yet it was also peaceful and serene. The goats and al pacas were fun to watch from our camp spot. Nice walks to go on. It is a dry camping but they have potable water if you need it (we did not as we brought our own) and they have porta potties as well. There's a lot to do here or just relax and rejuvenate. We had a great time and we will be back

We do not provide hook-ups but there is a gas station not far from the ranch that provides clean-outs. We provide excellent clean water and an extension cord. We also provide some of the friendliest cutest animals to visit. This is self-check-in so find your clearly marked site and park. You are on a livestock working ranch with well taken care of animals. We will greet you when we are able do so. We purchased this wonderful 40 acre ranch in our retirement years. We had never done ranching or farming before and wanted a new experience with this gift called life. Being long time hard working Alaskans and living the Alaskan Adventure we could see no reason to be in our golden years and not have another adventure. Our many different animals provide us with entertainment and a purpose. Mini Donkeys asking for a bum rub and braying for breakfast always brings a smile. Alpacas, Llamas and Valais Black Nose Sheep, provides us with beautiful rugs from their own fiber that we sell in the Seven Stars Store. The rest of the hats, gloves, blankets and wonderful socks come from Peru. Mini horses that love to be brushed and even have their hair braided all make for an unusual experience. Adjoining the property there are thousands of acres of Forest Service land and just up the road is the proposed Scotchman Peaks Wilderness Area. Beautiful Lake Pend Orielle is only eight miles away and the Clark Fork River Delta and can be accessed just down the road in Clark Fork. Bring your kayak, canoe, or longboard for unsurpassed natural beauty. If an alpine lake is your cup of tea, Antelope Lake is a short (fairly easy) 90 minute hike away, I'm told the fishing is great!

Learn more about this land: This 10 acre parcel is on a south facing slope with a forest of growing trees that are all 12 feet apart. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose are common. One can walk through the woods or just sit and listen to nature all around. It's a great place for hammock camping! Two miles to the East is Lake Coeur d'Alene with great boating, kayaking, and fishing. Loffs Bay has a public boat ramp and lake access. This is not a good site for RV's! It is great for a jeep/subaru/small SUV. The trees are 12 feet apart and turning around would be difficult with an RV or trailer! Riverfront Base Camp

Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers. Please send a message if you have any questions. I am happy to help.
