This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek.
This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)!
Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi.
There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever!
We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire.
Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting.
It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake.
I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid!
If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Open all year round, we have plenty of spacious big rig pull-thru sites up to 110 feet long, with picnic tables, fire rings, grass areas, and of course, full hookups (water, sewer, and both 30A and 50A electrical connections). This is grain bin glamping. Expect it to be like camping except for not in a tent.. there is power enough for lights and to power your devices. The temperatures are the same as inside a tent. I have 2 bins available that sleeps 2 each. There is a porta potty next to each one. There will be outdoor showers, but currently the shower bathroom, it's up at the barn. This is still under development, so more will be added with every grain bin having it's own unique personality. This is also the best views of bear lake that you can get. This area of the property often as deer rabbits, and sometimes even moose strolling through it. No wood fires during the summer months, as it's too dry. I will provide a gas fire for an extra cost.

Tent camping sites were clean, in the shade, and well maintained. Power and water was available and convenient. Parking was easy. Close to the bathhouse/hot tub, laundry mat, and playground. Very peaceful except the occasional kids walking through the campsite (which management addressed without me saying anything when they noticed) or late night camper driving over to use the bathroom (headlights shining into tent).
Bathrooms were nice and exceptionally clean. Sherrie and her team do an excellent job and clearly take pride in their work. Better than most hotels. Laundry facilities were also well kept and decently priced.
Initially the power at my campsite was not working and Terry immediately went to work rectifying the issue, furnishing an extension cord for my work laptop until the problem could be found. Ended up being a quick and easy fix, but regardless felt very taken care of as a guest and feel that he went above and beyond to make sure that I was provided good service and had a comfortable stay.
Both Sherrie and Terry were outstanding staff members. I enjoyed my conversations with them and felt that they are kind people that care about the park, its guests, the quality of experience and services provided, and taking pride in their work. I’ve worked as a campground host for forest service and maintenance for state parks and can honestly say they not only did their jobs well, they exceeded expectations. Would come back and stay just to visit with them.

I really enjoyed camping here. They have a free pool and hot tub to use. Electricity in cabins with a celing fan to keep cool. They have free clean showers and bathrooms. I will mention that while they do have firewood it is not free. Make sure to take some with you or pay for some there. The price is reasonable. They do have coin up wash machines. The cabins are reasonably priced for a night. I will definitely return!

First time staying in an RV Park. I liked the little cabin. It's a little humid inside the cabin in summer but we had a box fan that helped a little. The park has doggy play areas, playground for the kids, chess and basketball. The bathroom was very clean with warm showers. The pool was clean and everything seemed to be taken care of and clean. The little shop has some food and gifts. Everyone we met employees and guests were very nice. The little food truck has some yummy chicken tenders and onion rings. The food truck employees were also very nice.

Basic RV Park. The cabins are a great value. You cannot see the river or get next to it even though it is right there, not sure why. Remember to bring your own bedding for the cabins. Overall a great stay for the price.

We slept two nights in a cabin . It was very basic and needs a deep cleaning if i knew that all in advance I rather slept in our tent.

If you’re even thinking about booking the treehouse, do it.
The bed was insanely comfortable (like, slept-better-than-I-do-at-home comfortable). Woke up to the soft morning light and trees swaying outside the window like a real-life screensaver. The cedar soaking tub? Unreal. Perfect for stargazing, unwinding, or just pretending you're in a fancy spa tucked in the woods.
Every little detail felt intentional, cozy, and peaceful. A total reset. Highly recommend if you’re craving quiet, nature, or just a place that feels like a deep breath.
I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. You should too.
